- PS - When to Reposition and When to Create a New Start Point or both.
Join Kim and Kristina as they walk through when a design needs to be repositioned and how to do it in Pro-Stitcher. Also, when and how to create a new start point and if you need to do both steps.

I am a beginner and this was just the best video! Things finally clicked in my brain and I understand a WHOLE lot more on what is going on. Thank you so much!!
Great tips, as always! You both have great chemistry on screen, and it seems you both have a fun time doing these videos. Love the presentation! :)
Great video! Clear and concise. Do you have a pdf to go along with it to print out?
Not yet! I'll add that to my to-do list!!
That is a great idea - would love to have a PDF to refer to. This was a great video - thank you.
Thanks for this video! I have learned this by trial and error - but it’s still not programmed in my muscle memory yet (I still have to refer to my notes). I am definitely saving this video for future reference! Please keep tips like these coming!
Good information love the presentation❤
Great learning session
Thanks again ladies, love all your videos.
Great video. Thanks for sharing
Great video and refresher! I knew this from watching previous videos but I didn't know about pressing the Auto button twice. Good to know. I'm one of those that lets my bobbin run out and always have to reposition so this helps.
Do you have to double tap again after the repositioning
Glad you liked the video. When your bobbin runs out, you should not need to reposition the design, just get a new start point.
The double tapping of the auto button is only for getting a new start point. You turn on the auto button which moves the start point to where ever you move your crosshair to. When you have the start point where you want it, you hit the auto button a second time to turn it off to "lock" the start point in place.
This is the exact video I needed. I took the quilt off frame to pick out like 3 rows. Then I got confused . So its sitting on my cutting table for last 3 months! Thank you ! Thank you!
To clarify. I still use drop and drag?
Drag and drop is one option for repositioning. When you put the quilt back on the frame, pull up your saved design from before. You will probably want to use the drag and drop without the needle to reposition the design to match what is on the quilt already. Then you can move the start point to where you need it.
Thank you for this video. Question… if the quilt advanced off kilter on one side, how to remedy this to match the design?
Try manipulating the quilt on the take up pole so that it is as straight as possible with the design. I have also taken batting scraps and stuffed it in the already quilted portion to help straight it out if needed.
Great summation of Repositioning and New Start Point! Could you create this summary on a printable for us? (We need a cheat sheet too!)
Great idea!
I wish I had seen this video before I did all those mistakes! I learned by trial and error!
I totally messed up! I stitched out first row, came out beautiful but when I advanced to start the second row, I didn’t notice that when it started the second row, it had skipped one row. After taking out the stitched area and trying to reposition where it should have been, I kept on making mistake after mistake. I couldn’t find my way back so I decided to start all over. I unrolled my quilt to the very beginning and now can’t get it back. Can someone please help me realign
Go ahead and give HQ a call!
I forgot to hit drop and totally lost my rhythm and couldn't figure out how to get back.

Here's another video that might be helpful. Using drag/drop without putting the needle into the quilt is probably going to be the best technique for you to get the design back in position after forgetting to hit the drop button.
