This entire session is a treat. Spotify arranged for a group of 50 'superfans' to attend, and you have that perfect combination of the intimacy of a small gig, studio quality audio, and the veterancy of musicians who've been performing together for decades. It all comes together for an absolutely perfect performance.
This became an anthem where I was working when it first came out. Two departments working side-by-side in a bleak, grey warehouse. Each department was allowed a radio, but the catch was both radios had to be on the same station. Songs like this one helped get us through the work week. It would have been hellish without the music. Great bunch of guys and girls. Best group of co-workers I ever worked with.
The backup singer is Carina Round! I yelled "omigod it's Carina!" out loud when I saw her lol, I love her. She has solo albums of her own music as well as being a member of Puscifer now. I got to see her live in my hometown in Omaha Nebraska and she said we looked tired so she mooned everyone to wake us up! It worked! 😂😂😂 Her set was awesome too, it was just her and her guitar/pedals for most of the songs and she was able to make it really dynamic and interesting all by herself.
I went to see them the other night in Charlotte North Carolina and their sound will still take you back to the '80s beautifully ethereal sound I was not disappointed at all as a matter of fact it made me cry

Everybody Wants To Rule The World - Tears for Fears
Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even while we sleep
We will find you
Acting on your best behaviour
Turn your back on mother nature
Everybody wants to rule the world
It's my own design
It's my own remorse
Help me to decide
Help me make the
Most of freedom and of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do, I'll be right behind you
So glad we've almost made it
So sad they had to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the world
I can't stand this indecision
Married with a lack of vision
Everybody wants to rule the world
Say that you'll never, never, never, never need it
One headline, why believe it?
Everybody wants to rule the world
All for freedom and for pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
