I met Mark Collie a long, long time ago. This was before he was a performer. He played me a song that he had written, and he just wanted to have an opinion on it. I was impressed. And I've remembered ever since his talent, his kindness, his presence, and his sense of humor. Still love his music.
I always loved this song. The video is also the only time I've ever seen the way it was (and still is) for me growing up in a small town in England. The looks on the faces of all those people in the town staring at you totally captures that. I've never seen it in any other movie or music video before or since. Guess it must be the same for some people in small town America for the director to know that.

Music was more emotional and videos were more captivating back in the 80's and 90's cause they actually followed what the song is about...not like today's crap! And the lyrics are easy to relate to..Miss these songs..wtf happened with our music? Its terrible is it goes..:-/
