Some people go through life Never knowing why they're here They never find someone like you The moment I touched your hand And looked into your eyes I knew what I was meant to do I was born to love you I was born to love you I was born to love you - Till the day I die Sometimes when I'm holding you It feels just like a dream And fear cuts through me Like a night If I should wake up What would I do If you weren't laying by my side I was born to love you Till the day I die I was born to love you I was born to love you I was born to love you
The video's a little bit too 80s, but the twang and the feel of the song is truly where Mark is at his best. That wasn't fake at all. I still feel that place where Mark's music gets me.
I’ve been a fan of Mark’s all my life (26 years and counting, I was 7 now 33) and I still love his music, his acting, I know he had the DUI yet he’s turned himself around. I’m proud of him.
Hey, I remember that! I'd forgotten about it. This was before the music corporation started plotting the death of traditional Country Music. I really appreciate having been able to witness the life of Country Music evolve till the end. Some really good music was coming out. The Genera had fully matured. The recordings and style changed each decade to a modern era but still retained its fundamental roots. Not so anymore. Today's glamour Country Music (Ahem, it's not Country Music) is lifeless and soul-less. Even the run of the mill semi successful artist back then were leagues better than the best today. I understand it's a different market and todays musicians have to survive and all the BS but the bottom line is, the market does not inspire greatness anymore. All of todays music is success engineered. Notice how Country Music hasn't evolved in the last 25 years? Still the same C***; Just a different type of swill and truck. How on earth does a type of music that has gone 25 years stale actually remain economically viable is beyond me.
I remember Mark. The song "Born 2 Love U", in the Fall 93, I was sitting in the living room at Mom and Dad's listening 2 the stereo, I heard the song, and I played with the dolly Ragady Anne. I miss Mark. What happened?
I remember when he came to Pueblo Colorado I was probably around 6 years old my mom and dad took me and my sister and gave me his autograph I love his songs even till this day
This on'e always been my favorite of Mark Collie's. It just has that certain easy rock sound about it and the lyrics are simple and pure. Just a great tune by a great singer.
Once again I learned about this song thanks to the Aviano US base in my homeland, Italy where I fell in love with country music. Somehow I KNEW tit was the right music for a romantic person like me. Angela Italy :)
The song every man who has ever loved a woman can relate to, its about every love lost and every relationship that has gone the distance as well as everything in between
I live in Killeen Texas and Shooter FM plays a lot of the classics. In fact they played Mark today. They play a lot of Marty Robbins, Gene Watson, Faron Young.
I remember these days. Great times . I love this song 90s country was the best. Learning the dances on afternoon The Country Network from the saloon in Nashville.
I could remember watching him here in Pueblo Colorado at the Colorado State Fair he shook my hand he was great to me my dad and mom loved dancing to his music
I was going over & over in my mind, this man's last name...so glad I found his videos..I'm not as much of a country music fan to many...but he's an exception!❤️
Amen to that and this guy here a long way from America thinks "pkfireflies" looks are just as lovely.Thank you pretty lady and I'm sure Mark feels the same.

Mark Collie, Randy Travis , Clint Black , the last dying breath of what REAL country western music was...
This is what country is supposed to sound like, y’all.
I love Mark Collie. I wish that more people would call the radio jocks, and get more of Marks songs played.
hi Laura Martin You know what...I use to call their ass up in the middle of the night. They would play...back then any song you requested.

Some people go through life
Never knowing why they're here
They never find someone like you
The moment I touched your hand
And looked into your eyes
I knew what I was meant to do
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
I was born to love you -
Till the day I die
Sometimes when I'm holding you
It feels just like a dream
And fear cuts through me
Like a night
If I should wake up
What would I do
If you weren't laying by my side
I was born to love you
Till the day I die
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
I love finding these good old songs!

Two thumbs up for line dancing. This is true country music.

Not only do I love hearing Mark sing, but that smile of his just does something to me! Love this song!
I discovered Mark Collie when we used to get CMT in the early 90s and I've loved this song ever since xx
Pretty much the same for me. I was more of a rocker, but it's amazing what we can learn to like while chasing those tails.
Mark Collie, Marty Stuart, Wade Hayes, miss the 80/90's country. Seemed much simpler and much more real for music back then.

I grew up listening to this 90s and 80s country. I remember seeing the music videos on cmt and the old line dance club show:
He wrote this song for me. He's gonna sing it at my funeral.
Our song ,even after all these years!
