I had The Gold Standard burger and The Black Hole shake at Holsteins. The burger was ok, but I prefer regular goat cheese to goat cheddar. The shake was good but the sugar footballs were too hard to bite, so I just swallowed them. The Ding Dong was kind of stale too.
I also had The 24 Hour burger at GR Burgers and I thought it was ok too, but the street corn dip was to die for! It was just sooooo good!
I was just in vegas, haven't been in 10yrs. Not the same allure it used to have. Glad to see you guy's trying all the different foods.

First, thanks for showing the artwork at Holsteins. It is by Juan Muniz who is a Vegas local. He just published a book. My preference is the Gold Standard burger at Holsteins. I agree that Gordon Ramsay is not nearly as good.

Hello Bill and Lisa! Whoa! This is my kind of video…who would not love a chocolate shake first? Adding Holstein’s to Vegas trip restaurant bucket list!!! Now those are real burgers…cheese melting and no pink spots! Yay! Has crispy crunch!!!! We may not fit in all the places on our list into one trip…lol! We want to go to support the Mom and Pop places first before we hit the strip even though we may end up staying at strip. Thank you for sharing! Awesome video as usual…back to work for me! If you want to try the regular burger and shake joints and pay less, I recommend In-N-Out Burger (Linq) and Shake Shack (NY-NY). Those two places are at or near the top of everyone's burger list! The new ones I want to try are Whataburger (across from Aria), Bobby's Burgers (Harrah's) and Smashburger (Cosmo). There are over 20 places in and around the Vegas Strip that specialize in burgers. Bound to find a couple you really like.

Yes when it comes to hamburgers I want the meat well done as well. Meat cooked through no red/pink. Holsteins is really a treat 😊
Holstein's looks amazing! But, that sticky pudding ice cream sandwich looks divine! Not going to Vegas in the near future; so I'll be trying the garlic fries & Italian Mozzarella Cheeseburger at Wendy's. I've heard they both are really really good!!

Now let’s talk about well done burgers…not judging you for ordering yours that way! BUT, speaking from experience in the culinary industry, I don’t recommend ever ordering beef at this temperature. I worked at a very fancy steakhouse in San Francisco and well-done usually meant grabbing a steak or burger that was cooked beyond the requested temperature and reheating it. (So bad, I know!) So for example, if someone ordered medium and it slipped into medium well, we held it back for a well done order. Then again, it’s possible Gordon Ramsey’s staff just let your burger cook too long.
Anyway, we’ve loved you guys for years. Keep up the great work! Hope to catch you one day and interrupt your filming so we can take a pic with you two 😂

I’m a huge Gordon Ramsey and Sticky Toffee Pudding fan, so I may be partial to GR burger but that Holsteins short rib burger looked bomb! 😋 Aaaah Bill’s face after taking that first bite of Sticky Toffee pudding ice cream sandwich! Another entertaining showdown video, there seems to be a small window in cooking burgers well done and keeping them juicy. Would you give in to cooking your burgers medium well to play it safe and avoid the dryness?
We ordered all of them well done, but the ones at GRB tasted a bit dry in comparison. So yes, there is that small window that an experienced griller should know. We hear you, but the doneness of anything south of 'well done' in ground beef tastes weird to us.

That’s the danger of ordering ground beef well done… it often comes out dry..that’s why I always order mine medium to medium rare…everybody’s different in how they like their meat cooked. It’s all good!

Gordon Ramsey Burger is our favorite. Holstein's have good apps, their philly cheese eggrolls are on point. But they do not have our favorite burger meat. Thanks for the great comparison.

i just went to Holsteins loved it last trip i went to Gordan's and was very disappointed in it
I love a nice bacon cheeseburger with fries and/or onion rings with a great dipping sauce.
Oh wow the burgers look fabulous Nill and Lisa, they are pricy though 🤭 but like anything, if they are worth it, then you don’t mind paying the price.
They are pricy, but these are in the 'craft burger' category (aka. fancy burgers LOL!).

Bill & Lisa, very nice video & review, by looks I think Holstein's burger looks better, nobody should tell you how to eat your burger, if you like well done eat it that way, it's your money, you paid for the burger, I like mine medium rare, my wife won't eat any beef unless it is medium well done, period. We won't come at you for eating well done burger, I don't think anyone at a restaurant would do that if they mind their own business/manners.

Sorry can I be THAT person. It is not 'Dub Liner' cheese it is pronounced 'Dublin er' as in what we call people from Dublin Ireland. But the cheese is made in Cork Ireland 😆

Maybe give up the "well done" on the burger and go with "mid rare". After all you are paying for premium meat which even if cooked medium, there is no risk of tummy upset. Plus more juicy. Thanks. Karla in Cali.
