Maybe you could use some of the botched packaging for any seconds mouse mats? Oopsie packaging for an oopsie product! Candy Paint Cafe's ideas are really good too, with the shredded bits for packaging or cutting off the extra and using them as thank you cards. I'm sure you'll find a use for them!
The wasted paper, turn them into bookmarks. Like scan it in, add your pretty magic, print and cut. You can sell them in little sets, give them away as freebies, use them as business cards. Leave some at bookstores and libraries. The trend with my teenage daughter and her friends are to read actual books now, so bookmarks won't be a waste. Hope this helps 🤗
For the botched print, I would figure out how to turn it into crinkle shreds, and just use them for packing orders. We we love a recycling queen, and I’m sure we all like being part of the story ☺️

That light looks SO good!!! I think the white looks great, pink would definitely be cute too, but I think since it's on the pink of the wall the color combo works well.
For the misprints if you have a paper shredder, it might be good for package/box filler when shipping? Another alternate might be cutting around and off the "mousepad" section and turning them into "thank you" note cards or freebies with orders? The artwork on it is still really adorable!

You could probably cut the misprints into a bookmark (and maybe round off the edges?) Granted there are so many of them, but cutting some into the dimensions of a bookmark (and cutting off the "mouspad" section, could still make them functional.
Suggestions (some are already been said, I repeat them because I agree with them!)
- oopsie packaging for oopsie product (like the seconds).
- packaging for fairs and comic convections if you partecipate.
- white and colored bookmarks (you can do some with the central design, and print something on the white and colored sections).
- use them anyway and give people the chance to choose it in the same way you let choose if they want the cellos or not (you can also put a note to apologize for the oopsie packaging, explaining why it's different, but giving people the choice it's more "consensual without flaw").
I mean, with the white border are perfect to put them in a little frame and hang them!
Surely, as a first try, I'd try to find a solution not to cut or waste any part of the sheet, so something that would allow me to use it as it is or cutting it without no discarded part :D
i think you could cut them smaller and offer them as a mini print or use them as a freebie. ie a smaller square one or a landscape a6
if that beeping was a label printer then i've watched too many videos on label printers!

As for the packaging, is there possibly a way to just add it as an option at a reduced price so it doesn’t go to waste? The only other thing I could think of would be scratch paper. Just be a shame to throw it out.

Could you maybe cut just the illustration out from the bad backing prints and use them for mini prints or thank you cards? Hopefully you’ll find a use for them!

This pains me too! I’m always so anxious when I bulk order my prints because it can be an expensive and time costing mistake that’s completely out of your control. Glad the coaster ones are perfect though! Sending love! 💕💕
maybe you can use the misprints for other products and put some stickers on "mousemat" part?
Maybe with the mouse mat packaging, you could cut off where it says mouse mat and then include mini prints in with orders. Or sell them on the shop for a small price🤷🏼♀️ that way they aren’t wasted x

I want to buy a place for a studio or a walk in crafts thing and to also take my daughter with me so I can give my parents a break but problem is, Idk how I would do that or how Im even going to find a place to start this up. Yes they fixed it I think it was a error both ends! My file size was smaller BUT in the preview/proof it was full bleed and they didn’t send me a proof! They replaced them in the end! Xxxx
Honestly, I wouldn't mind receiving the packaging with the white border. Perhaps you could add a note about how the print is wrong but you don't want to waste so much paper 🤷🏼♀️
Sure, good/nice packaging is always appreciated, but in the end what matters is the product we are buying 😉

Just a tip about the cello bags as I remember you saying you're not happy with the texture and look of them! I use eco-craft which has compostable cello bags made out of veg starch and they're actually really nice quality! Ship within a few days from the UK too :)
This is who we use! 🥹🫶🏻🌷 thank you so much just they sold out of A4 ones so we got some alternative plant based ones from another provider they weren’t as good tho 😅
Can you make mini mousepads for small work areas to use with the misprint backing cards?
Just cut off the mousepad part and use for other packaging or make thank you cards. Or even sell as mini prints
Could you create a mousemat character? Like a cute little mouse that helps you work and make stickers from these? And the stickers could be Mousemat working at the computer, eating cheese instead of working, etc?
And the backing that was printed wrong, could be the backing for these stickers?

I had a friend that used to work for a company that took misprints and scrap paper from business and turned them in to recycled notebooks. They just took whatever pages had space for writing (which i imagine would be all of yours) and bound them with a cover to make a recycled notebook that people really loved
You could also just shred them for packing filler
I think you can leave a white border this time for those prints

I would cut the misprinted paper to the size of the smaller cards that you use for the coasters and die cuts, and then print and cut stickers saying "coaster" and "die cut sticker" and slap it on them! It's such a bummer and extra work though :/

Ahh it's such a gut wrench when printing goes wrong - any mistake feels so much worse when it's immortalised in print! I've just had the same thing happen today :/
Did you find out whether it was a supplier issue or something with the artwork provided? As a print designer I'm always looking to learn from others experiences with suppliers. Thanks for always sharing the highs and lows!
I think it was a bit of both I sent the file size as a compressed PNG but on the “preview” it was full bleed, They ended up replacing them thank goodness! Xxxx
Since your mousemat backings were kind of designs as prints, could you cut away the white border and the "mousemat" text at the top and just sell them as prints? I'm not sure what the sizing would be, but I'm sure people wouldn't mind if its a wonky cut size. Could sell them at a reduced price if the size is an issue, but then it's not going to waste and people can still get cute art! Or even possibly cut them smaller and give them as freebies if you don't feel right about selling them as prints. Just some possible suggestions, that way they don't go to waste.
You can use a roller with ink and stamp a cute design on the white of the Mouse Mat papers!
Any time I have damaged or misprinted designs I just cut them up into confetti pieces and put them in my orders. Don't get me wrong it's fairly time consuming but I just do it every so often when I need a break from staring at my laptop screen. I separate them by colour and have them in those cute cork top Ikea glass containers, ready to be used. ^.^ xx (p.s the heavy duty circle cutters will last 10 times longer than the little colourful plastic ones) xxx

I'm struggling to get my circuit to do a clean cut it keeps missing no matter how many times I reset it! hopefully, i will figure out what I'm doing wrong soon! love your stickers for packing and the signs are really cool :) I like your star and cloud ones too
Contact cricut if this keeps happening after calibration! Or try a more shaded spot sometimes the light effects the sensor!

I hate when this happens, it’s currently why I’m looking for a new sticker manufacturer. I found a very small business and ordered samples, so hopefully they actually care about quality control… could you cut them and maybe sell smaller mouse mats at a reduced cost? I was planning to do that eventually with the defected stickers I have.

The manufacturer should send you a corrected prints, for free. If they want to have your business in the future. It’s their fault.

I love your new sign! So I was thinking of opening an etsy store soon. Do you still use your cricut for a lot of your orders, like stickers and nail decals or do you have a company do them after you draw and illustrate them?
Not at the moment although we are going to get back into using the cricut more with die cuts again!

We’re all your art files designed to the end production size and full bleed? If so then yeah the print supplier definitely messed up especially since they didn’t get you a proof to approve I vote send it back for a reprint and get them to do it correctly 🥹 hugs hugs
