You do not need to anneal the brass prior to case forming. However, after working brass that much, even if you anneal prior, you must anneal the necks to soften them once again. I have developed extremely high performance proprietary cartridges, and I highly recommend you anneal the worked necks and shoulders after case forming. Cheers.
I only load BP but there are people out there that are using smokeless. Even the Brits used a smokeless (cordite) load later on. I say it was built for BP loads so use BP. The case warning is for any reloader. Ballon cases will fale
@@johannesvanhoek9080 Sorry for the long delay. Balloon cases ,due to how they are made, are as strong at the base. ALL reloading info I've seen says DO NOT LOAD SMOKELESS as you can have case separations.
By far the best and quickest method. My Lee dies are damaging my cases because it doesn’t form the neck in stages.

The press is a Lee classic cast press and the dies I am using are RCBS forming dies. I trust that is the information you were asking for.
Hans
Balloon case is for BP only! NEVER try to load a smokeless load in a balloon case
You should never use smokeless in a Martini Henry no matter what the case is made from.
