I just finished this set up on a four motor CNC tank robot. Works like a charm, thank you very much. If I wanted to also add obstacle avoidance automation with the sonar sensor how would I modify the code to go from manual to automatic? Can I just add the sonar avoidance code along with your code and it would work?

If your car is not running, even after connecting by phone ,you can add ( 4700uf 25v ) capacitor to motor driver input. And connect your Bluetooth module to direct Arduino Uno's positive and negative if your phone is disconnecting always after few seconds, and also add ( 470uf 25v ) × 2 capacitors in parallel to that bluetooth module and Arduino's positive and negative, and after this all remove that jumper from the motor driver and give another same power supply to direct Arduino Uno, this all things will guaranteed solve your problem.
Bhaiya I have also double checked wire connections and modified the code accordingly as I am using two motor wheels and a caster wheel . And bhaiya , I am using an 18 volt battery . But my motor is not running What to do now. Also, when I checked my motor by connecting directly to batteries it runs but when I connect it to motor driver it does not while everything else is working properly
It is working great but when I click on button some time so it keep on going after leaving the button also.

I have a problem, when I use 3.7V (2000MAH) × 2 battery then after running for a while the motor driver stops working, after pressing the reset button it runs again for a while and stops but when i use 5 volt power bank then there is no problem, can any one tell the solution for this problem.

Check the battery voltage when the load is connected. I previously tried to make this car with 9v battery, I have faced the same issued. The battery don't provide enough power for the motors. So, I switched to li battery.

tried to make this car but it's been 8 hours and when I finally connect the Bluetooth the application constantly crashes and doesn't allow me to use the car. I do not recommend spending any money for this tutorial
you must have low battery, hardly sufficient for even powering up the bluetooth module using the motor driver. try using a bit higher voltage like 7.4 .It should work

Bro Multi color coper wire are the best as of my testing.
I have also used aluminium wires but you can't solder on aluminium wire. So I ditched the idea.
