I have a hikvision DVR that I some how screwed the PW up on it. I am normally vary careful with PW use. Some how I or the DVR? changed it and now i'm locked out. Might have to look at it again and see if it does have a battery. Warning to all of you hikvision users. When you first setup your DVR be certain to enter the recovery email address. If you don't and you mess up your password you will be like me and will not be able to use the hikvison password recovery system.
