I ordered a stump bucket directly from Cleveland Equipment LLC. Its arriving this coming Wednesday. Can't wait! I'm impressed how you operated your bobcat!
Thank you for the video. Well done. I've been looking at the stump buckets and wondered how well they work. I've got a Stumper 280 stump grinder, and it's considerably more costly, but it doesn't tear up as much area unless you're chasing tap roots.
I envy the view from the skid steer! I just got my first machine ever, a Kubota L4060, and bought a stump bucket for it. It’s kind of a pain to see what I’m doing out front with that bucket on because the hood blocks out the view of where the attachment is doing the work. Much higher learning curve than using a loader bucket or grapple. Still I’m very happy that I got the stump bucket to hold me over until I can afford a mini excavator!
Wonder if ya are leaving stumps for fire wood.will work ar better if ya push the hole tree over stump and all, then cut off the stump. Leverage works wonders 😜
Yeah, I've seen videos of them on tractors (looks like a good way to twist your loader on those.....not likely on a SS though), not sure I have seen them on a SS or track loader prior to your short. The visibility on your machine with that stump bucket looks hard to beat! The mini-ex may still be a better option in a finished lawn setting as you could really tear things up with your tracks on this, but it is perfect for this type of site (or anywhere "unfinished"). Looks like that will be a smart purchase for 2023. Have a good one!!
I really liked the skid loader over the mini, mostly because of the weight behind it. but both have their advantages. Have a good one, and happy new year.
I use a Stump Bucket with my tractor. I try not to put too much stress on it. No issues so far. I think the Skidsteer would be ideal just because you'd be able to see what you are doing better.

Thanks man, good luck with the stump bucket

Oh for sure but I didn’t have that luxury on that that particular project. A logging company came through before me and that’s what I was left with.
Just ordered one, looks like they work pretty decent
Hope it works well for you!
Bought this exact stump bucket and love it!
Nice!

Good work - this video redeems the first stump bucket video i watched.
Armchair operator here, nice work
Thanks
Do you know the brand or model of that stump bucket?
I do not. Sorry my man
Thanks anyway. I was looking into buying a mtl one with a grapple head, but I’m not sure I need one w/grapple after watchin you use it
I think the one with the grapple would be very useful, but you also have the chance of breaking it, when wrestling the stumps out.
I've seen Titan and Tomahawk brand buckets
@@DO-el8hc I ended up buying a mtl stump bucket with a grapple for $1200 that works great
Why do you take the stumps out in the woods?
So someone’s house can be built here and have a yard free of stumps.
Good Job!
Thanks
What brand of bucket is that? Looks like a Tomahawk ?
I’m actually not sure
Some serious tap roots
Yeah it was.
It is faster then using a mini excavator?
I wouldn’t say it’s faster. It’s about the same amount of time if you’re using an excavator of the same weight as my skid loader
Wow someone knows how to run equipment
Thanks
4:10 that was a tough stump.
yes it was
