    Your videos absolutely make my day. Your attention to each piece is like caring for an old friend who’s down on their luck. You are a beautiful soul, Jay. …and please, don’t ever replace the talk in your videos with silence; I’ve seen so many recent channels and makeovers that are silent except for really strange background music. Your instruction is that gentle encouragement to those of us who feel intimidated to begin our projects. The soothing music and cats are great additions!!

    Your final product photos are artwork themselves. Putting the piece in the grass and sunlight brings out all the rich warmth of the piece. I actually didn't like it in your workshop but the photos changed my mind. Bravo.

    Again excellent workmanship. Wonderful. There is a saying that I love very much, "Simplicity is the pinnacle of excellence". But at 16:12 there are three staples at the top of the back. You should have gotten them.

    In my head you are a dentist who lives with his 6 cats and flips furniture and runs half marathons in his spare time. Your movements are very precise and your workshop is so clean and well organised, major dentist vibes. And I feel like maybe you're a Wallace, or maybe a Gareth.       Don't be disappointed if it has veneer. It may be solid, but even some top quality pieces of previous eras had veneer just done so well you miss it. It helped prevent warping in some pieces. I omly say that so you don't sand through if you decide to strip it back

    Never thought of a woodworker using a soldering iron, but it seemed to do work like a charm on the dents. Another gorgeous outcome. (BTW, I'm not a woodworker, so I enjoy hearing your explanatory comments as work on a piece progresses.)

    I like this style without a lot of talking. It was similar to a pop quiz to see if I knew what you were doing & why before the caption showed. It must be harder to edit & do voice overs to get these videos out.
    The grain to this piece is gorgeous. A striking finished project. Thank you once more.

    You spoil me a little with your thoroughness and attention to detail. When I watch other restorers (which is rare) of furniture and they don’t take care of the bottom of the piece or the inside, I think say to myself “hey, they missed it”. Then I realize it’s not you. The bedside table is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.😊

    The beauty of the original solid oak hiding under veneer is STUNNING. Love the addition of the new legs, giving this classic piece just the right amount of "modernity." Yes, I too wonder if anyone who has dumped a poor old piece of furniture on the side of the road or donated it to a charity shop sees your videos and gets inspired....

    Amazing talent the first tool sounded like nail's on a chalkboard I was releaved when you got your other tool the carbide scraper it always amazes me your apron is spotless I'm such a messy painter I even had acrylic paint on. My cheek I forgot the paint brush had paint I get it everywhere great craftsmanship see you in your next video 😊

    Cleaning, disambling, striping, repairing, sanding, dying, several smoooooth layers of shellac. Perfect. Please, avoid those eternal NEW products that never will do much than the origial recipe. Thanks for sharing.
