    Shouldn't Q3's answer be both A and D? Since if we subtract the numbers horizontally, D is the odd one since all the other options' differences are 18 while D is 21. On the other hand, by subtracting vertically, A will be the odd one as it has a difference of 19 while other options have 18.
    Furthermore, if we were to observe a pattern by subtracting counter-clockwise, both B and C's numbers decrease by 9, whilst A decreased by 10 (54-44=10) and D decreased by 12 (22-10=12).

    There is a fault in question 3 isn’t there? Option A starts with 54 - 44 and that makes 10 instead of 9. So not only D is the odd one but also A I’m guessing.

    For those having difficult time with Q13. Look at the number of black squares in each hexagon. You'll find 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 (series) and the one with 5 black squares is missing. So the answer is A.

    • @barrabooga8075
      @barrabooga8075 Год назад

      Yes you are correct, that combination of squares also goes for the grey and white squares, where the hexagon containing 6 grey squares and 7 white squares is also missing. Hexagon A contains all these missing combinations.

    2.) C, the numbers opposite to each other: The smallest number on each side is multiplied by two to get the second number. Eg: 7 *2 is 14 in answer D. C is wrong, 16 multiplied by
    2 is not 31. It is 32.
    3.) There are 2 odd ones?? A and D. A seems to have a different answer vertically, but D horizontally. My rule I found was that the opposite corners- the biggest number was subtracted by 18 to get the smallest one. This doesn't apply for A vertically, but it doesn't apply for D horizontally. I found out the explanation is that the numbers go down by 9 each time. *
    5.) C, the number of sides the shape has is multiplied by 2 to get the number next to that shape in the square. A pentagon was next to the number 12, but that isn't correct as a pentagon has 5 sides. The correct answer should be 10.
    7.) A, what I noticed first is that each arrow IN A ROW rotates 45 degrees each time. The top row rotates clockwise, the next anticlockwise and the third repeats clockwise. Each colour also has to appear at least once in a row. Although one colour appears twice. *
    8.) B, the black line should not be touching the light grey line nor the grey line.
    10.) A, I like to look at the rows in every possible way I can. I found out that if you look at the rows vertically from the top the number of sides are decreasing by one. In each row there is also three different colours. They are each used at least once in these vertical rows. You can infer that the colour has to be red, since there are no reds in the middle column and that the shape has to have four sides. Because the sides are decreasing by one each :).
    12.) C, If you look at the shapes, you can see that the number in the hexagon next to the shape inside the hexagon is half of the amount of the shape's sides. The only answer choice that shows this is C.
    13.) No, I didn't get it but I figured out how to do it eventually. The answer is A though I won't say I got it right because I found different answers in the comments, but one of them actually explained it. Here's the explanation: the amount of the different colours in the hexagon vary from 2-7 throughout all the hexagons and each hexagon has a specific amount of squares that have a specific colour. Each colour must have a number from 2-7 in separate hexagons. Lets say the hexagons have white squares in the amounts of: 2, 3 ,4 ,5 ,6 but there is 7 white squares missing. That means the unknown square must have 7 white squares. *
    15.) A, The square moves from corner to corner in an anti-clockwise motion.
    17.) B, the shapes in each row increase by one side from left to right. This is also the case vertically. Colour isn't a pattern here, only a distractor.
    19.) C, look at the sides of the shape inside the circle. They all have 8 sides.
    NOTE TO SELF:( * = I had trouble with this question in the time limit or I just had trouble with the question)
    This was a great video :)

      @flereoussarg 2 года назад +1

      My reasoning to 10) was looking at the rows: each row has a sequence of [n, n, n-1] by the number of sides of the shapes, and the shapes with the same number of sides have the same color. Therefore the answer was a red shape with 4 sides.

    for 18 a pattern can also be the fact that in all figure except the c one, 3 multiple signs are at the same colors (figure A - white / figure B - black / figure C - none / figure D - black)

  • @tonettesullivan1599
    @tonettesullivan1599 Год назад +1

    For Question 1 Answer C could also be the odd one out because all the other answers correspond with even or odd numbers. For example the top numbers of ALL the diamonds are even except for C that pattern occurs on every side of the diamond. C is always the opposite of the other diamonds. If they are even C is odd.

      If you look for example for the number of the little black squares in each big square, you cann see that one square has 2 black sq., 3 black sq., 7 black sq., 6 black sq. and one has 4 squares. So you have 2,3,4,6,7. You see that one number misses so that you have a pattern from 2-7. and its the number 5. So in the missing square it has to have 5 black squares . And this pattern you also can see for the white and grey little squares.

    I thought 13) was pretty tough. Ultimately my reasoning was (potential spoiler):
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    "The same number of squares for each color (gray, black, white) is never shared amongst multiple hexagons", which gives A; B conflicts with north-east hexagon (3 x white), C conflicts with north hexagon (3 x black), D conflicts with north-west hexagon (3 x gray).

    I guessed c intitally but now when I look at it at the colums in each square have 2 of the colours repeat themselves for example looking at the columns in the first square the black repeats itself in one of the columuns and the next column the white and 1 column of 1 each colour black white and grey the same pattern occurs with b ( 1 column 2 greys 1 column 2 white and then 1 column black white and grey in c 1 column of 2 blacks 1 column of 2 whites 1 column of 1 black 1 white and 1 grey D is the only 1 that there is 1 of every colour in each column so .... how would i know

    for question 2, I will answer with "C" being the odd one, the reason for this is because every other answer is half of its opposite, unlike "C."

    Your first example already has problems. Why on Earth is the numbers on opposite ends are exactly 5 numbers away the MAJOR FACTOR? What if there are other relationships at the same time such as all the numbers being even or odd? I noticed that the top number repeats to the left diagonal. So the top number 4 appears on the left diagonal as 14. Also notice the bottom number repeats to the right upper diagonal. The bottom number 9 repeats on the upper right diagonal as 19. The digits repeat in such a pattern but you did not use this fact as the MAJOR FACTOR. True to what I said only B does not have repeating digits as the other do. How are we to pick what attributes are the MAJOR FACTOR to solve the question. This seems hit or miss. Please help clarify or explain.

    I did question 3 differently to find the odd one out i got d beacuse beacuse they all have the second digit increase by 1 going counter clockwise for example a has the second digjit going 4 then 5 then 6 b has 1 2 3 c has 6 7 8 but D does not have that it goes 1 2 0 instead of 1 2 3 .... theres got to be a way to do this without a caluculator or mental math
