Thanks! You definitely will! I plan to upgrade the pickups in the near future and see if I want to do something about the frets as well. But I definitely want use it on the channel a lot! Btw great single you put out few days ago, well done!
Haha thanks! One of these days I’ll do an episode where I take it to a luthier and we’ll make it play and sounds great with proper hardware and electronics! 😎
@@CatPickStudios my pleasure! It would be great if you a take a look at my attempt to build my first DIY guitar too... :) I must say I learned a lot and would like to see your opinion, maybe some tips and tricks :) Have a great day! Bert
Yeah the nut on mine is a bit problematic and I should do something about it. I just purchased a fret file and nut file and I'll be learning how to do that myself soon using this very HB project guitar. I plan to put the video over the next few months :)
Congrats man! I love the fact that your wife helped you, good team work! Great looking and sounding guitar, I kinda like those pickups actually. I had the same thoughts about the little imperfections when I did mine, it looks as if the guitar would have been longer by my side than it has which I like aswell.
Thanks! I have to agree, the pickups on these kit guitars aren't that bad. I've assembled a T-style one before and it also had very decent pickups. I'm curious to see whether the sound quality changes a alot after I've upgraded the pickups and the electronics.
@@CatPickStudios good morning. Well the sound can change somewhat drastically or almost stay the same, depending on the pickups you'd install. The way I hear it, the pickups in this cst kit are quite vintage flavored and Id have to spend quite a lot of money to make them better in that department. If I go to my pickups of choice than it would be no more vintage sounding, so for now I'll leave them and gain more experience with them.
I loved how it ended up and it sounds good! I hope to see that guitar more on the channel!

Fantastic job 😅🎉 well done. Did you have any trouble with the nut? Did you have to file it to sit the strings better ? Thanks 😎

The main manufacturing mistake is to paint and grind in a room or on the porch of a house)))
Haha I know! If I ever end up doing this again I might buy a tent or something for painting.
Homemade (family houses included) Frankencat
Eddie Reed Smith? Paul Van Halen? Paul Reed Halen? Eddie Van Smith?
I’m sticking with Frankencat. 😹
looks nice but it is done so many times a little bit of a Eddie van Halen replica
Thanks for watching!
