Fury was gassing out. Cunningham was winning the fight until Fury got dirty by leaning his body weight on Cunningham which tired Cunningham out. Then Fury basically held Cunningham’s head and hit him and that’s how he got the knockout. Fury is the Dirty Boxing King. Was the dirtiest knockout I’ve seen in boxing.

@@dude3277 F yeah ! I was looking for a comment like this. he more or less pushed his head back with his left forearm then knocked him out with his right. He had Cunningham in more headlocks than you see in any wrestling match I've ever seen. i don't know why he wasn't deducted points for that, he did it enough times.
It was far from a good fight, clumsy if anything.

Everybody want to talk about how dirty Tyson Fury was in that fight. Well I guess none of y'all saw Cunningham head-butting and and hangin on to Fury, trying to dance with him, locking his arm up so he couldn't swing, punchin after the bell. I guess when your the "champ" that dirt gets overlooked. Whatsamatta? You? Your boy just didnt have what it takes to have his own game run on HIM! And he took a trip to the mat. Do I really have to remind you who got up, and who could not get up?

I think if Tyson Fury was defeatable it was at this stage. He is not that great and in some fights he was just lucky.
But something changed in him. I think the awful awful depression followed by Klitchko fight actually made him more dangerous.
He realized he is just a mortal man.
    And suddenly he became hardened.
He chose that path. Like some sort of karate man who suddenly became a master at age 40, fury became this weird omen.
and he goes by pure intuition it feels. I think Fury will feel genuinely exactly the moment when he cannot win. that is why he is saying that it doesnt matter what he wins. Because he knows for sure. Deontay 1st fight was exactly that. Fury said "Men like you can't defeat men like me" And he rose from the dead to prove it.
I am more than sure Fury will goof around boxing a bit and then just go wrestling or some other entertainment sport. He knows he had the highest highs in boxing 2 times. He will know if he needs to defeat Usyk or someone else. But he will also not throw away his prnciples and feelings just for a desperate shot at some more belts. I think much like George Foreman, Tyson Fury will slowly grow into something else.
He definitely has the bravery to be whatever, and he has more talents than just boxing. I think with some training this man could be like a motivational speaker or a talk show host or a pro wrestler.

8:11...Fury presses his forearm against Cunningham's eyes and holds it there, effectively obstructing Cunningham's vision before he throws the punch that knocked Cunningham down.
It is not permitted to hold a glove against the opponents eyes in an attempt to obscure the following incoming punch, so why the f-ck was Fury using his forearm allowed ???

Fury didn't like Cunningham putting him on show by out-Boxing him earlier in the bout and emphasizing it with that knockdown, Fury has the mental acuity of a Thirteen year old trying to find the person who stole the jam out of his Doughnuts.

All great fighters have dirty moves they use. Lennox loved to lean his big body on opponents, Wlad did the same. If the ref says nothing, it's legal. Watch Lewis'knockout of Grant. Clearly illegal , grabbing behind Michael's head with the left and pushing it into his right uppercut for the devastating knockout.

      @@brocklanders3616
Not "all" great fighters have "dirty moves", and your analogy that it's only illegal if the referee see's it is seriously flawed, what you are saying is that the dirty fighters that get away with their dirty moves, are in your opinion "great", because they could obscure the referee's observation of their "dirty moves" and get away with it. In other words, the definition of "greatness" in your opinion, is a dirty fighter.

@@DejiiJones_ Thanks for replying Dejii. I realise that there are some fighters who that doesn't apply to like Alastair Overeem for example, some who seem to defy what I said, but I've seen many body builder types gas out very quickly due to muscle size as they demand more oxygen and get full of lactic acid more quickly. The commentators, often ex fighters themselves, actually mention that what's happening with the over-muscular at the time when they fatigue quickly. They often try to finish fights quickly so go mental in the early rounds to avoid losing later because they gassed out. I think a factor could be whether or not you are naturally big and muscular, i.e. the mesomorph body type, because then you'd more likely have natural cardiovascular system to support that larger muscle mass, whereas a naturally scrawny person, a hard gainer, i.e. the ectomorph body type, might not have because he's not naturally muscular. In short, I don't think either of us are wrong because there's a case for both fighters who can support a large muscle mass effectively and those who can't, but you wouldn't want to be hit by one before they gassed 😉
