I can never get enough of seeing and hearing a 356 Speedster! Perfect car. Simple, clean, minimal lines, and the sound of that air cooled engine! Ugh, love it. Thanks Petrolicious!
Fabulous Video!!! Rosita, this tiny insight into your life portrays an enviable relationship between you, your father and the Speedster... If only the rest of us could be so lucky! Enjoy!
Jeez...........you guys make the greatest automobile videos on RUclips. The quality of both the production and the stories is just fantastic! Keep up the great work!
Coach building is the one art I have true respect for. I have designed and built racecars, but nothing is quite like building it within the family. More importantly, thank you for driving it, as Dr. Porsche intended.
The car "had been abandoned for many years" How one can abandon a 356 Speedster ?! Then again another beautiful video from Petrolicious ! Damn, I love Tuesdays.
+Tony Schnitzel Easy. Some of the silver arrows, far more important historical pieces were also found again. And if that's not enough, then the internet has tons of stories about cars, lost, found, lost again, found again, etc. Hey, at least, it's not like that one old airplane, found in perfect condition (for the time it spent there) that they foolishly tried to restore with no proper tools to run, fly, and get back home, only to burn it to a husk. edit: how about ~60 cars abandoned to rot by the family of a once wealthy man because "they thought it wasn't worth the effort" worth ~20 million pounds?
+Tony Schnitzel Well, people perhaps buy one as a wreck or inherit one no longer runs, and they store it in a barn. One day someone needs the space in a barn so the car gets stored under a tarpaulin. The tarpaulin eventually tears and so the car is exposed to the elements. Restoring the car correctly costs a huge amount of money or special skills; they don't want to make a pigs ear of the job and they don't have a huge amount of money for the project, and their skills are not up to the project; and so the car sits. It happens. It happens all the time.
LOL sounds like an old generator at low RPM! Gotta love that classic car clunking!!! So sweet what a wonderful car! Thank you so much Petrolicious you guys make the best automotive films hands down!!!!
What comes across clearly in most of the Petrolicious videos is the owner's sense of freedom when they drive. They are part of the car...driver, caretaker, listener...
Petrolicious makes videos that i show to people who "don´t get cars" or are not "into cars". No mater what video you pick they are all beautiful and transfer the spirit of motoring / car culture and movement overall. Thank you and please continue.
Your father liked everything I liked about Porsche's especially the minimalism. The genius is only realized when you drive one. They seem to do what you want with such less horsepower than other cars. Her father realized Dr. Porsches genius design.
Another excellent story of life and driving joy. Thank you. I’m fortunate enough to have similar joy and appreciation when I get in the driver’s seat. Nothing beats a Porsche.
many of this channel's videos, and this one in particular, really make me hope that i'll find something that i'll love and be able to work towards as much as the people in these videos. keep up the great content!
passion defines this story. i also got the love of cars from my family. One thing that i love is sit and talk about cars with my dad and grandpa who owns several classics. He knows so much, i could see him when isaw your dad. i love cars and i am always really happy to see how many great things, relationships and stories they provide.
Great video. Reminds me of when I was small and my grandfather was always working on cars.He left a lot of tools behind but I wish when I got older he would've been around so I could learn from him.
Beautiful car, I see a car just like this one once a week. We usually meet up at the stop in front of my house on my way from work. I live close by the Nethercutt car museum here in Los Angeles.
Bravi, complimenti!
Magnifica ! Quello piacere di vedere appassionati come voi che riparano tante vetture nelle regole dell'arte come diciamo in francese. Lavorate veramente bene ! Grazie per questo reportage. Thanks also to Petrolicious.
Just discovered the petrolicious series of videos an hour or two ago, and have been watching them almost non stop, absolutely exquisitely well done from an artistic, and gearhead standpoint. I would love to see a video such as the ones you have put together, such as the one for the Miura, and 250 GTO, for cars such as the 1970 LS6 Chevelle, the 1965 Cheetah, the 1969 Camaro Z28 (with the DZ302 or course, cross ram intake preferable), and the 1963 Corvette grand sport corvette. Im sure you'd just hate to get cars like that on your channel, but I feel that you'd suffer that for your fans ;)
Mona Porsche colpisce ancora. Lady Porsche strikes again. Hats off to Signor Alonso, today there are very few who have the same level of craftmanship.
Great story, beautiful car! I'm a Cayman S man myself, but I dream of driving (and maybe owning!) an air-cooled 911 Carrera (964) or 356 Coupe.
SC
this might be a weird reason i'm addicted to seeing a porsche 356. but i was looking for an inspiration to modify my vespa LX and seeing 356 especially a speedster makes me very inspired. they're kind of similar in my mind. i don't know how many 356 videos i've watched but i enjoy it very much
Another great story from Petrolicious. I love seeing woman sharing their passion for cars, it goes to show that there is so much more to car culture than paper stats, speed and adrenaline. Care culture is just as much about style, freedom and individual personality as well - life experience and memories. It's not just the car, it the world it exists in. We need to see more woman and their enthusiam for cars, when I was young I had a massive crush on an older girl down my street with a pristine Karmann Ghia... I think nothing has changed!
I have wanted a Porsche my whole life. I fell in love after a ride in my uncles 911 in the mid 70s. I am now 45 and don't think Ill ever have one, even more so that the prices of 911's have gone up since the hipster crowd has labeled the in car now. I live vicariously though these great videos and people.
+mzondi1970 There are still deals to be had on Porsches, provided you are willing to embrace the cars that the hipster crowd derides as "not true Porsches" (924, 944) or "not true 911s" (997). I'm hoping to get a 997 next year, right at the start of summer; current US prices hover around $28k… Over the years I hope to expand my collection, but I decided that I don't want to wait anymore, and that a 997 is an excellent entry into Porsche ownership. Good luck!
Im pretty set on a 911, and you nailed it. Hipster/stance guys have run up the 80s car prices for sure. I actually love the 914 as well. A 944 wouldn't be bad if I could find one that is not beat to death here in the Midwest.
mzondi1970 There's a pretty sweet 914 up the block from my job, but there's no way I'd fit in one! I've decided to start building my Porsche collection with the 996; hopefully in a few years I'll be able to add a 356 and/or a 964. And that's it. I'd like to lease the 991 and 981, though, just to drive for a while, but I'm not aiming to buy and keep them any time soon. I'm going to stay looking for deals :-) Good luck with your Porsche hunt!
Complimenti, bellissima.
I saw the video by chance, and I got excited again ... curious to see the transformation of our workshop after a few years! And even some of my lost kg😉😉😉 .
This is a better balance of person/ automobile. She gave her whole life story yet it was about the love of the car, where it came from, why they chose the car they did. we still got to hear some technical data about the car and the restoration. Still could use a bit more car, but so much better... It was hilarious how her dad was a Ferrari mechanic, so became a Porsche lover..Questo è un migliore equilibrio di persona / auto.
I had a 1953 Porsche with a 1964 SC engine and a big bore kit.....Had a friend who had the 3rd Porsche Speedster. A 1954. ....It was sacked out. Had a VW engine but not much rust. He died in 1987, when the value of Porsche;s were reasonable. But in 1988 things changed Big! The car went to a restoration shop in Santa Clara, Ca, as I recall, where I lost track of it., That car was the earliest Speedster on the road.....As I recall #1 was at the Porsche museum and #2 was wrecked.
I can never get enough of seeing and hearing a 356 Speedster! Perfect car. Simple, clean, minimal lines, and the sound of that air cooled engine! Ugh, love it. Thanks Petrolicious!
Big respect for the young lady,She loves, admire, and treasures here fathers work.
Best gift for a father!
Fabulous Video!!! Rosita, this tiny insight into your life portrays an enviable relationship between you, your father and the Speedster... If only the rest of us could be so lucky! Enjoy!
+ERRE C After watching your video for a third time, I realize I need to come visit your shop and check out the Porsche seen in Italy!
Jeez...........you guys make the greatest automobile videos on RUclips. The quality of both the production and the stories is just fantastic! Keep up the great work!
It‘s true ;-)
I am so grateful that you Rosita chose to do this video, and tell the proud story of your father and your family passion.
Coach building is the one art I have true respect for. I have designed and built racecars, but nothing is quite like building it within the family. More importantly, thank you for driving it, as Dr. Porsche intended.
lovely lady, great car.
It's nice to see women who enjoy driving as much as men do.
Your story made me smile :-) Thank you.

aserta If you have a link about that air plane, I'd like to check it ! Thank you !

+Tony Schnitzel Easy to think these days when P-cars are commanding such high prices, but they weren't always so sought after.
Tony Schnitzel9
This machine is more than just a car. Beautiful video and great story as always!
Love the passion this family has for Porsche and craftsmanship
It's so beautiful to see cars like this passed from one family member to another. One day I hope to be able to do the same.
LOL sounds like an old generator at low RPM! Gotta love that classic car clunking!!!
So sweet what a wonderful car!
Thank you so much Petrolicious you guys make the best automotive films hands down!!!!
Thanks Rosita for sharing, your car looks fantastic. 4th generation of coachbuilders wow thats very cool !
So much passion, so much love!
Absolutely beautiful car
Amazing cars, 356s are probably in my top 3 favorite classic cars
Beautiful story, beautiful car and beautiful language
What comes across clearly in most of the Petrolicious videos is the owner's sense of freedom when they drive. They are part of the car...driver, caretaker, listener...
Cool story. Love hearing these types of stories about Family and treasured cars that brought them together.

The blue interior is beautiful !
I love this car and love Porsche in general... My daughter always asks me would you rather have a Ferrari or a Porsche.... I always go for Porsche. 😉
You have a cool daughter
Great story of passion for 2 of the greats in the auto racing/building genre. Porsche and Ferrari. Thanks!

Absolutely beautiful machine. Thank you Petrolicious. Your videos are amazing.
Beautiful car, I see a car just like this one once a week. We usually meet up at the stop in front of my house on my way from work. I live close by the Nethercutt car museum here in Los Angeles.

Great story! Although I thought there were a bit too many closeup shots during the video.
Una bella macchina ! Magnifica ! Quello piacere di vedere appassionati come voi che riparano tante vetture nelle regole dell'arte come diciamo in francese. Lavorate veramente bene ! Grazie per questo reportage.
Thanks also to Petrolicious.

Oh wow, yeah. Our family, we have a 1962 356b which we still drive, so I relate, though, this is next level.

Great looking car, must be a treat to drive. I can understand your passion for this one. What type of motor is it, and what year is the car from ?
