Im really looking forward to that tactile transducers versus the Simucube pedals video. I assume that the throttle vibrations can just as well be conveyed through tactile transducers. You would probably not get the „fighting against ABS“ feeling in the brake but maybe the vibration is enough to make you feel what’s going on and therefore make you as fast. Though I expect the improvement to take longer since interpreting vibrations is not as intuitive as interpreting force, it might be the same in the end.
If there's one thing I've learnt through testing so many different types of hardware through so many different price brackets it's that your brain is amazingly good at filling in the blanks. I do think there's still a lot of unrealised potential in the simucube pedals though. For example they dont yet respond to brake fade and alter their feel dynamically but it's certainly possible to do.
I wonder how hard it would be to DIY some FFB Pedals. I think the hardware is probably the easy part, it is mainly the software where the magic happens.
You are probably right, the motors themselves are actually pretty cheap but it is not easy to to make them smooth when external force is applied and they have to counteract. I might try experimenting with these motors. Maybe I can build such a pedal. But I probably need to buy little Servo motors instead of using the stepper motors I have laying around. First of all, I will try to replicate the effect with tactile transducers. I already ordered one for my Brake.
I quit sim racing fairly quickly after buying my first wheel because I realized breaking feedback was needed in order to stop making breaking feel like a gamble. Breaking is a massive part of racing and it surprises me a little that it has taken so long for these to be developed. It's very nice to see how excited you are for it and how well it works. I hope they'll be able to make these affordable for most people.
I hear you on the unfair advantage but this isn’t really just limited these pedals. Equipment really does matter and I know I’ve gotten faster as I have steadily upgraded my rig. Take triple monitors, the wider FOV is massive in terms of avoiding collisions, seeing apexes, etc. But talent matters too and I’m never going to be an alien regardless of my equipment.
I am not sure if Equipment matters, if we talk about more than a decent FFB wheel and basic loaded cell pedals. I saw a video the other day from a young fella who is in the top 10 of iRacing drivers and he just uses the G25 or G27 with loaded cell pedals and a regular monitor with I think not even track IR. I can imagine that it helps beginners/intermediants more than it helps pro's.
they've existed for a l;long time fanatics clubsport v3 pedals have a ffb break pedal, its only supported in i racing so most ppl dont know abt it cant wait for more devs to support ffb pedals
I saw a few other people had already reviewed them, but waited to see the definitive review. You’re absolutely the go to guys for testing hardware - bloody good place to be 👍
Seeing this reaction I said "I need to get these now!" I went over the website and said to myself "Well I have one more reason now to love the Simagic pedals I have"
Amazing how the sim technology is cacthing up to the real thing (feel). The test reactions and emotions makes me want to purchase them let alone getting PB race times. Very cool, thank you for a great review as always BM.
I have no intention of buying one of these at that price point, but I was REALLY curious what possible benefit FFB pedals could provide. But, seeing your leg slightly vibrate the first time you hit the brakes in the sim, I'm sold. Use case proven, this is a technology worth exploring.
Fantastic, excited and fair account on first review. Bloody well done. Hopefully and probably the tech will filter down to realistic price levels. Again, great review.
The smile on your face when you start driving is all I need to know. The question is whether or not a 2nd pedal is necessary or if a brake pedal is enough.
Will I've been watching your videos for a year or two and this is the most emotional I've ever seen you :) Hope we see something like this that's more affordable in the coming months / year.

Great first look video Will. I have never seen your eyes so wide while you were driving! The expression on your face says it all! Thanks for the video :)
This is it. The next era in sim racing. Once other companies start making these and the overall price starts to lower this is going to be a game changer for many sim racers.
This is the thing that I have been longing for. I can even see how they're helping you feel the entry to the corner. Through Aqua Minerale it was very perceivable how it was helping you. so amazing! thanks for the video
Watching your reaction after watching your videos for years just shows the technology behind these. Hopefully there will be more affordable ones in the future or I hit the lottery lol Great review as always
Thanks Will, your reaction alone tells me most of what I wanted to know. I’m in it for the joy of driving, anything that adds to that is worth the money.
I will never probably have the opportunity to try these, but what I can say is Mounting a Dayton Transducer to your brake and configuring it with abs is super nice feeling. I have the transducer mounted direct to the back of the brake pedal on my HE Ultimates and it is a game changer when configured right. This is next level.
I’ve already seen someone come up with a prototype of a diy setup based directly on these pedals, and even the first iteration is looking great! The limiting factor will probably be the software, but I can’t wait to see it be developed and even for other companies to start making their own (cheaper) version too!
@@tonyyimbo what's affordable to you though? From all the hardware I really can't imagine a set being under 2k. A good DIY setup will probably cost to build around 600 minimum
I just added three big rumble motors to each pedals of my Fanatec Pedals with a 3D printed adaptor and a Arduino board. Created some code for my Simhub. Even this is game changing - to feel the clutchpoint, abs and motor vibration. This looks even better, but at a cracy price.
Well I came here with the urge to trash talk the price but after seeing your reaction and the results I must say I've been humbled. Brilliant and congrats on your new purchase! 😉
Im been waiting for something like this. In a real car being able to feel the wheel lock in the brake or the bite in the clutch is important. Way too expensive though. Ill stick to my diy vibration motors.
This sort of technology would be so useful in teaching someone to drive a stickshift car when used as a clutch. It would likely need a plugin for the game to take full advantage of the capabilities but the potential is just enormous in so many ways. I will be eagerly waiting for when I will be able to afford something like this one day.
So excited for this tech to start trickling down into price segments that are obtainable the way that DDs have. Every pedal manufacturer needs to be getting their hands on these for market research.
I think at this point, with someone willing to shell out that much for pedals, the difference in time is probably negligible. I can see this making a difference to an unexperienced driver, but when it comes to already having experience, I think these will help save a couple tenths, but not much more. The people who can afford these and are willing to purchase them are presumably already putting down heater laps, and these won't change that. I don't think we have anything to worry about when it comes to pay-to-win because at the end of the day it all comes down to skill and commitment. Great video, this makes me excited for the future!
I'm running a pedal set with two 10W transcuders on the brake and accelerator pedals. Not the same, but the ABS/TC feedback helps, i could also configure the gas to rear wheelspin if i'd want to.
@@juju2682 I drive all 7 of my transcuders with simhub. 6 of them are (2 pedals, 4 seat) Dayton Audio Puck and one big Dayton Audio BST-1 for the back of the seat.
It would be interesting to see if games could use this for a similar thing to how the Dualsense triggers are used in Wreckfest with traction control off. It lets you know when you are close to locking up or wheelspin by having the force required go up just before and then disappear almost completely once you go over it. The point this happens at is dynamic so if you're going in a straight line and slam on the brakes you can go hard then as you slow down you feel the loss of grip when the weight shifts backwards and know to ease off the brake. Same with using wheelspin to control a slide it lets you know how much throttle will break traction.
I feel like we watched you genuinely get quicker the moment you really started pushing on the brakes! Seriously cool tech, and great perspective to keep with that price. Like many other comments have said, hope this stuff comes down to affordable prices in the near future I'd be picking up a set immediately
thank god these finally exist bro i was literally searching everywhere for these even made my own designs for something similar i wanna know is there a clutch one that can simulate clutch bite point in games
I’ve been thinking a lot about that while testing for the review. A lot of braking sensation in a real car is g-force assisted. So it will be interesting to see how people work around that. The pedal feels quite different at a standstill compared to at 300km\h.
Don't look that bad! Tip: you could tryt he Race Element HUDs in ACC as they are smoother and also provide information when the ABS or TC is activated!
Been waiting for you to do a video on these. Thank you!!!! Hadn’t been able to find pricing until this video either. Awesome coverage man! Wish i could like and subscribe twice 🤣. Looks like i have for sure found this years savings focus❤️🔥🤘🏽
Good video mate. They certainly look like a nice bit of kit. I still have no idea where the cost comes from, though.. I get R&D costs money but surely if you could get that cost down and turn more over it would be more beneficial.. But i'm sure they've got people more qualified than me running the numbers haha. I might give the DIY approach a go for now and hope one day i'll be fortunate enough to try the real things haha.
Dialing in your settings is key to any wheel and pedall set, Im just having kitchen table setup with my my xbox1 logitec g920 but still taking the time to dial that in shaved of loads of laptime. I could'nt afford a hyper setup rig etc. and to me it does'nt matter, but if I had the money I would go mad with it.
To me it's very simple Will. So to answer your posed question from the 33:23 Mark. It is exactly like the Mercedes S (or whatever their most luxury car is called?). Where every release brings some new unattainable tech. But then 5-10 down the track, it is then even in the most basic of cars..... So I say :- BRING IT ON!!!
I love the idea of what these could potentially support, I mean imagine if instead of you tweaking the pedals to feel exactly as you decide you want them to feel, the sim can in real time change them so the pedal travel, force required to achieve x amount of brake pad actuation and linearity all match the actual car based on data the sim devs collected and then even things like brake fluid temperature and brake pad/disc condition can be fed in to alter the pedal behavior... or what if the clutch bite point actually moves to emulate a wearing clutch or under mechanical failures maybe the pedal falls to the floor etc... Although as amazing as these things are there will always be a guy in Scandinavia running an original Logitech G25 and a LawnChair(TM) sim rig who will go faster still :) it's always going to be immersion and consistency where these things come in which help you to learn a new car or track faster by feeding you more info.
What excites me about this is the possibility of having different car profiles. So a Porsche would feel like the Porsche brakes IRL. Manufacturer involvement in this would be awesome.
Thank you for hitting on the price, but no matter how cool it would be to have it (and we all want them), they are crazy high price. Simucube devs has also made it clear the price will not be dropping. Another thing to, at least for me, that would be a deterrent also to not purchase them, is the main feature to these that even was shown here is the abs function, which is only being implemented into a few games at the moment. For many of us, if we could afford these even, play all the older titles as well, which at this price range not only are they eliminating most of us from owning or experiencing them, but they are also making a statement that is for the rich and the professional driver scene, which means most likely the pedals are not going to have all their extra features being shown in older titles.. I could be wrong, but if that is going to be the case, then what would be an even bigger reason to not purchase when you won't be getting their full features outside of three games.
That square curve would be super useful in cars without ABS. Set it up with a linear force just up to where you are close to lock up and then ramp up the force needed past that to help gauge where to brake.
This looks amazing but i hope this trickles down the same way DD wheels have into more affordable category's but no doubt it is a revolution for the market
Products like this need to come out so it can eventually trickle down!

For example they dont yet respond to brake fade and alter their feel dynamically but it's certainly possible to do.
Agree Dave, it it worth and extra $5500 Aud over tactile transducers? Think not.
Bro, your videos keep getting better. 👏👏👏👏 excellent job
I'm so exited that someone actually made FFB pedals. I've been wanting them for years and years
they've existed for a l;long time fanatics clubsport v3 pedals have a ffb break pedal, its only supported in i racing so most ppl dont know abt it cant wait for more devs to support ffb pedals
What an amazing time to get into this hobby
I saw a few other people had already reviewed them, but waited to see the definitive review.
You’re absolutely the go to guys for testing hardware - bloody good place to be 👍
Just watching how happy you were testing these was the best part of my day.
I friggin love seeing you react like this and sharing it with all of us. These look amazing! Thanks for sharing.
I have no intention of buying one of these at that price point, but I was REALLY curious what possible benefit FFB pedals could provide. But, seeing your leg slightly vibrate the first time you hit the brakes in the sim, I'm sold. Use case proven, this is a technology worth exploring.
its so priced out of my range but this is exactly what's needed in sim racing. amazing video as always!
Fantastic, excited and fair account on first review. Bloody well done.
Hopefully and probably the tech will filter down to realistic price levels.
Again, great review.
I've been waiting for your review since they got announced!
Out of the question for me but I'm so excited to see this tech. Great review
The smile on your face when you start driving is all I need to know. The question is whether or not a 2nd pedal is necessary or if a brake pedal is enough.
This is the most excited I've seen you in a video since the NLR V3.
Will I've been watching your videos for a year or two and this is the most emotional I've ever seen you :)
Hope we see something like this that's more affordable in the coming months / year.
I assure you the excitement was 100% genuine. I really was blown away. Haven’t felt anything so profound since I first experienced haptic feedback with the buttkicker 4 years ago.
Awesome an absolutely genuine review Will. Nice work.
Great first look video Will. I have never seen your eyes so wide while you were driving! The expression on your face says it all! Thanks for the video :)
This is it. The next era in sim racing. Once other companies start making these and the overall price starts to lower this is going to be a game changer for many sim racers.
Logitech will add 25% to the price :D
This is the thing that I have been longing for. I can even see how they're helping you feel the entry to the corner. Through Aqua Minerale it was very perceivable how it was helping you. so amazing! thanks for the video
Watching your reaction after watching your videos for years just shows the technology behind these. Hopefully there will be more affordable ones in the future or I hit the lottery lol
Great review as always
Can you share a link to the DIY setup? I'm interested in comparable hardware and can write software
I saw that too! And if that’s happening I imagine the Chinese brands are already whipping something up . I can’t wait for this to become affordable
@@tonyyimbo what's affordable to you though? From all the hardware I really can't imagine a set being under 2k. A good DIY setup will probably cost to build around 600 minimum
@tony yimbo if moza builds one that's pretty affordable, I'm definitely getting them. I love my dd wheel and load cell pedals from them
@@benclimo461 I’d say 1500 for a pair would be inviting, and as the tech becomes more common place getting to below 1k .
Wow! You gave me goosebumps towards the end there. Great vid! 😎👍
Being able to fell the ABS and the bite poit of the clutch in a sim racer must pe so cool
It about time! Hopefully we gonna see other like that with other provider ! Nice video !
That was a properly wholesome video of a man who has realised he's living his very best life!!
Just amazing. I won't be an early adopter but I'm not ruling out saving up for tech like this in the future. Great vid Will.
Im been waiting for something like this. In a real car being able to feel the wheel lock in the brake or the bite in the clutch is important.
Way too expensive though. Ill stick to my diy vibration motors.
Looking at the pedal cam and seeing it literally was fighting your foot with the ABS FFB, is mindblowing
This sort of technology would be so useful in teaching someone to drive a stickshift car when used as a clutch. It would likely need a plugin for the game to take full advantage of the capabilities but the potential is just enormous in so many ways. I will be eagerly waiting for when I will be able to afford something like this one day.
You’re so enthusiastic, they should pay you because we all just want them now !
They look nice.
*puts new spring in my G29 peddles
so today i learned money can in fact actually buy happiness.
The boys at simucube have truly taken another step torwards true immersion
I love the music overlay towards the end there!
So excited for this tech to start trickling down into price segments that are obtainable the way that DDs have. Every pedal manufacturer needs to be getting their hands on these for market research.
Awesome! I can’t wait for these to come to market around $500 - $600. Ganna change the game!
I think that’s a very good perspective. You’re probably spot on.
Oh, so just "a couple tenths". That's a relief. /facepalm
I'm running a pedal set with two 10W transcuders on the brake and accelerator pedals. Not the same, but the ABS/TC feedback helps, i could also configure the gas to rear wheelspin if i'd want to.
What equipment and software do you use to do this?
@@juju2682 I drive all 7 of my transcuders with simhub. 6 of them are (2 pedals, 4 seat) Dayton Audio Puck and one big Dayton Audio BST-1 for the back of the seat.
Great video! 🤓 Very informative as usual.
Looking forward to the in-depth look at what you think actually makes them faster. The feel and experience will speak for itself.
I believe the “graininess” you are feeling correspond to the steps of the stepper motor
Your face of pure joy and excitement when you hit the brake might break my wallet.
thank god these finally exist bro i was literally searching everywhere for these even made my own designs for something similar i wanna know is there a clutch one that can simulate clutch bite point in games
And to think I used to put a playing card in my Bike's spokes.... We've come a long way!
Can't wait for people to make exact brake pedal setups for every production car ever
I’ve been thinking a lot about that while testing for the review. A lot of braking sensation in a real car is g-force assisted. So it will be interesting to see how people work around that. The pedal feels quite different at a standstill compared to at 300km\h.
Awesome review as always Will!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't look that bad! Tip: you could tryt he Race Element HUDs in ACC as they are smoother and also provide information when the ABS or TC is activated!
Oh man just realized if the software allows it brake fade could totally be somthing felt now like pedal going deeper than normal 🤯
16:02 I want to give a shout out to your editor ! I believe he’s your brother I suck at names ! Well done
Thanks. Tom does an amazing job :)
Come on Moza and other companies bring Em on!!! Yes!!!
Waiting for full review. Last time i beat pr in a few laos was when i switch fanatec csl pedal to heusinkveld sprint. Added pre-irder in cart.
Great description on this exciting new tech. Small note, (break) fluids don't compress, that's why we use them 😁
“Pressurise” would have been a better word choice. 😂 Good call.
The first experience video I needed.
That look on your face, sold me the the pedals right there, priceless totaly bonza review, and why no Monaro in sim racing , great content
Omg can’t wait for full review . Please hurry I already have someone lined up to purchase 1 of my kidneys so I can afford these pedals.
having a clutch with an actual bite point.
nice
This looks amazing but i hope this trickles down the same way DD wheels have into more affordable category's but no doubt it is a revolution for the market
