- What's going on guys! In this video you be presented with what the Dealership decided to do in the situation where my car was taken for a joyride! I do believe that what they are doing now is fair and that they absolutely need to treat this situation in a very high sense of ownership. The guy has admitted to taking my car off the lot and going the route in which I said they did. The driver even admitted to going over the speed limit in that zone. Enjoy as you get a little bit of justice in the whole situation.
Thank you to EVERYONE who has commented on the last video of the initial JOYRIDE situation where I caught them with my own eyes taking my car for a Joyride. It means a lot to know others will speak out about their bad experiences with Dealerships as well.
Considering SUBSCRIBING and SMASH that BELL to be updated on future content on the channel! Almost to 20K SUBS!!

Enjoy the video!

@@joshuaavila8317 Then they set the law on him for every thing, it was a disgusting way to treat him for their own mistakes.
As a mechanic myself, I NEVER joyride or get food in a customers car. Hell, I wash my hands before reaching in to start it after doing an oil change. Dirty hands in a customers car is taboo.
Same with dirty shoes or dumb. Whenever I am about to move a customer car I make sure the seat is covered in plastic as well as the floor mats
Like MOST mechanics man. My best friend is a mechanic and theres the odd time someone brings in a rare or unique car. And no matter what, he always asks the owner if he wants to personally take the car for a quick spin. He would never abuse any customers car, he is like super anal about how he handles them to the point of obsession. He has quite a few toys of his own now including Ferraris and Lambos.
I know the guy my whole life and is a genuinely honest and good dude that respects people and property, and it shows in how he respects and people respect him. Now he owns one of the biggest mechanic/tech tuner shops in my town. And he is so damn good at what he does.
In 20 years no one has ever said no mechanic dude, dont drive my car. Lol people from all over the country bring him their rare cars to get the most out of them.

@@vaperadehaterade What a good guy
I had worked in a dealership service department for about 6 years, i had never taken a customers car off the lot, never even moved a drivers seat forward or back, and me being 6'2" was not always easy, it was important to me that the customer always get their car back the way they dropped it off

I manage a automotive maintenance shop, and I’m perfectly content with just looking at and admiring peoples nice vehicles while I work on them... i would be extremely frustrated if someone did this to my vehicle.
I've had people ask for a ride and I've people flag me down after a run to check out rides....if your a into vehicles asking goes a long way. And I hate dudes that don't know what is done to the vehicle or they won't say shit acting like it's one of a kind ....bro you ain't one of a kind unless you rocking bottles at the track.
Oh come on, every mechanic shop will start that nice muscle car and rev it up a bit. Can't resist.
RBabik Ii hey never said I don’t rev it 😂
At the automotive shop that I work at, we take the cars for a test drive for a couple of miles, just to check if the car is acting the way it’s supposed to. If it’s not right, we take the car back and fix the problem. We don’t rev them or go over the speed limit, but we test it to check if it’s right.
@@DustinsRacing not for an oil change
You're doing nothing wrong bro, keep exposing people who need to be exposed for wrong doings !!!
The customer service lady should get the same type of punishment for denying what actually happened do not let her out of the hook!
Good luck man!
Exactly. Her and the manager both. 3 strikes between the driver and the two of them.
Doesn't matter anymore. Most places dont care on ramifications due to their actions. Loyalty is a rare thing nowadays with most business dealings. Go where you get the best deal and doesnt matter if you've been dealing with a company for a dizillion years, they dont care and carries no weight anymore.
The CSR and service hack need to be gone too! All three of them, GONE! Customer service is key! These three people will cost them WAY more money than they’re worth.
I used to have a mechanic who would not drive any cars. I asked him how he knew if he solved the problem without a test drive. His reply: "I know what I'm doing". 😂🤣😂
Diagnosis? The car was in for an oil change. I get the test drive for diagnostic reasons. I don't believe an oil change would require that.
Honestly I think I’m more pissed at the service and customer service manager for trying to cover it up and mishandle the situation
savagemrtn Do you think he asked the managers permission before “joyriding”?? lol don’t be a dumb ass.
diezelking89 You said they were trying to cover it up. As if it’s not possible they didn’t know?
When someone comes in, upset, and accusing employees of something like this, they need to get all the facts before coming to a conclusion. They didn’t call him a liar, they were confused and not sure what had happened.
U have to notify them first, ur lawyer would tell u tha ,but in the same breath notifed regional manager/GM head person, notice to local newspapers and tv 📺
I would never bring your car there again. No matter the outcome. Remember this guys friends work there and people unfortunately can be vindictive.
No kidding. I'd take your car elsewhere for good. I also would tell them to pound sand on the review. Period. What would have happened if that schlep would have wrecked your car while he was joyriding it? You would have lost your car, and the dealership would have said sorry bout your luck.
Dam tha sad but true
I used to work for a shop where the owner would take a customer's car and do donuts in the middle of the street....
He no longer owns the shop and his wife is divorcing him...
Everything that's coming to him he deserves
This sounds like someone I know. Lol he would tell people he was working on their cars then drive them around for DAAYYYYYSSSS!
FACT: All yelp and google map reviews will stay up to EXPOSE corrupt dealership practices!
Not really.
Yelp is in the business of extorting businesses for positive reviews. Don't trust them.
50/50 chance the reviews are actually real... FYI
As a Dodge/Chrysler service technician.....I gotta say that this situation doesn't surprise me. There's always a couple of shady apples in every dealership that eventually gets weeded out once they're caught. Unfortunately for the dealership they can't undo the damage that was already done. You may get an email or letter from them apologizing again for what happened and asking you to give them another chance to earn your trust and business back. At least that's what our bosses would do. What has me curious though is......who exactly did your oil change? In our shop only SRT certified technicians are allowed to do the oil changes on Hellcats, Demons, Vipers,....etc. We have roughly 22+ service techs in our shop and only 2 of them are SRT certified. I'm just curious if the tech that did your oil change was certified. If so....did they really fire him? Techs like that aren't that easy to replace. Maybe they were just telling you what you wanted to hear. Anyways, nice video.
D E Yeah I agree, seems fishy to me. Also I didn’t know you needed a SRT technician to work on just a Scat Pack Challenger? I’d understand if it was a hellcat/demon. But yah anyways totally agree with you! 👏🏼
@@Bokie469 Ooops. Not familiar with his videos. I thought I saw a hellcat badge. My mistake. Scatpacks go through the lube rack just as any other regular vehicle. Still wouldn't make sense on how this guy went on a joyride without anyone questioning what he was doing though.
SRT certified? What kind of bull shit is that.
@@hendricksonrunner5015 Yeah the shop stays pretty busy. Especially within the last few years (no thanks to Fiat implementing their crap technology into the mix). Its to the point where they just recently hired more people so the lube rack can stay open until 9pm (we open at 7am). During the day "main shop" stays busy with the ridiculous amount of recalls and customer concerns. I heard Fiat is pulling out of the US market. I hope that's true.
You don't need to be certified to do oil changes on srt cars im currently a lube tech at Dodge and did about 5 hell cats one being a red eye and a hell cat grand Cherokee with no certifications
You're totally right for not taking the yelp review down ppl should know if a dealership is shady thats what yelp is for
All dealerships are shade, all they care about is money coming, they really don’t care if your happy when you leave
You should get ome of those obd GPS deals that notifies you when your car starts and how long it idles and the top speed it wen that day. A company I worked for had them and the bos would call me in the morning just screwing around asking me why I hadn't left the house yet 😂
It's all good when they are joking around but it can easily be abused obviously.

Good for you, DO NOT take the review down. Pretty sure this goes on in every dealership, the only difference is they got caught.
As a former car salesman I can attest to this. Not EVERY dealership but a lot of them. When I was new to the business they would tell me to use customers' vehicles to go pick up lunch for everyone or things like that. I've even witnessed customers' vehicles being driven OUT OF STATE to go pick up new cars from other dealerships. That's part of the reason I'm not in the business anymore. The money was nice but not at the cost of doing underhanded, shady stuff
@@NaruShadow Well... I'm officially installing a dash cam on my car just for when I take it to the dealership.
Glad to hear you heard back from the dealership. Definitely the tech joy riding a car hard like that on just an oil change definitely should be terminated.
Now if you had taken it for something more serious engine problem (not an oil change). There is some instances were a tech or service manager would need to test drive it too what the problem was and if it was fixed.
But not a joy riding, petal to the metal test drive.
Not defending them in anyway shape or form. Just saying a test drive might be helpful on something other than just an oil change.
I subbed to this channel . Your keeping it real 💯
I've never understood this. They work for a dealership. If they want to drive a car, they should just get the keys to a dealership car and drive one. As for you changing your own oil, you shouldn't be forced to chance your own oil to prevent your car from being used without your consent.
Don't take down the Yelp! review. Tell them if they make the proper steps to fix the situation, you'll update the post. But under no circumstances will you edit anything. They were caught with their pants down.

You're absolutely right! A dealership is inherently wrong for allowing their technicians to joyride a vehicle that was not owned by that dealership. If it were me I'd have taken legal action on the responsible party, no questions asked.
Tell them the Yelp stays up unedited.
If you edit it, your admitting being wrong.
I imagine he's just going to add to it a explain what they did to right their wrong, I wouldnt see anyone just completely changing the story and giving them a good review simply because the dealership acknowledged that they were wrong and did something to make it up to someone.

Sorry you had this happen, I had a similar issue with my like new, 350-Z a few years ago; Service Tech drove it over a concrete curb on a joy ride. The Pence Nissan Service Manager called me a liar and other bad things trying to cover up the $1200 damage his employee caused to my car. Unfortunate for Service Manager, the car's condition was documented upon drop-off at service bay. It took great patience not to hit that Service Manager right in the mouth. Of course, that is what they want you to do. You remained so calm, good control, and I hope they at least give you a free synthetic oil change for all this trouble. Like someone else commented, take this up the ladder to Chrysler as needed.
If you’re in Washington you should come to one of the Kings and Queens meets in Tacoma every Friday and Saturday 7:30 🤘🏼
i mean technically you could press charges on the person that "stole" your car for a joyride.
He does not want money he wants respect
diezelking89 nah dude he gave them legal permission to drive his car if a service required it to replicate, duplicate, or diagnose any symptom, noise, complaint, smell, or vibration before and after a service. It was an oil change. no test drive is necessary even though permission was given, for the service its receiving, its not justified to do that. I was tech at 2 dealers and that’s what the fine print says lol.
@@diezelking89 he never gave them legal premission to drive his car ON THE ROAD, he gave them legal premission to drive the car which is in the lot into the service bay and back into the lot. The company does not own the streets therefor can not give permission LEGALLY to drive on them. God you're dumb. Go back to grade 12 and take pre law
so therefor it is technically stolen, and yes he could press legal charges, legally.
From what i know the dealership if driving your car off lot has to equip a dealer plate for legal issues as in insurance no dealer plate no dealer insurance no insurance for the person driving
Glad your atleast getting it somewhat resolved and i hope they get back to you asap. pisses me off this happened cause it not only gives them a bad name but other mechanics as well cause things like that makes one think twice bout taking your car to another mechanic wondering if itll happen agian

Tommy Franks I agree! But me personally I would do more, like pressure them more. Probably like call the police and just handle everything else on his hands.
I don’t understand why he’s letting everything in the dealership’s hands. I would have had my own investigation. Made a police report and pressed charges if I had enough evidence.
Maybe I’m just taboo, but I take my personal belongings seriously. But especially with my car. I work so hard for mine and take care of it. That if some asshole took that away from me.

You should mark your oil filter with a sharpie, to make sure they actually change it. I've seen alot of oil change techs not even change the filter to a new one. Test them, wherever you take your car for an oil change. Great video.👍😉
Not a sharpie, scratch something in the paint. The buggers look for Mark's they can remove to make the old look new. Best to do you're own changes so you are 100% sure it's done.
Sorry to hear about your experience with a dealership. I had something happen but could not prove it. The service manager told me that the truck had to be road tested.
Just found this channel, it’s a goldmine! Thanks!
I had a similar experience. Back in 1992 I had a 1990 camero iroc. I took it to a Chevy dealer in New Orleans for usual maintenance. I left it there over the weekend and when I picked it up, it had just under a 100 miles more than when I dropped it off. I kept a fuel and mileage log. I had just filled it up before going to the dealer. After picking my car up that next Monday, I drove about a half a mile from the dealer when I noticed the gas gauge was at around a half a tank: I drove immediately back to the dealership and confronted the manager. After eventually getting the owner involved, the Service Manager admitted taking my car out for a couple of hours. I don’t remember if he was fired or not, but my family stopped purchasing vehicles from that dealer. They lost a lot of business from us.

@@texsherman6671 Cheers to that. I feel like this millenial culture lacks taking responsibility for their own actions and looks for the easiest way out. Not all, just a generalization. One thing I cannot stand is when someone cannot own up to what is wrong in their life. You control your own situation, not someone else. Same principle applies to business. If the norm is not excellence, that is your fault. I'll end my rant now, hahaha!
I mean as a technician at a Toyota dealership and previously worked at Subaru,I can see how easily this sucks for everybody involved. When you take your car to any dealership for any services, you get a multipoint inspection with it. Even if you don’t opt for the multipoint inspection, technicians are obligated to inspect every vehicle to at least cover their backs. A test drive on a certain route is done on all cars before any services, it’s how we know if we can recommend anything, if the brakes are pulsating, if the steering wheel is off centered, suspension noise, anything. So the tech didn’t steal your car and sneakily drive it, he probably drove it like he drives every car, but having a performance car he probably got excited and wanted to just get on it a little bit. Now yes that’s absolutely wrong, you should never drive somebody else’s car like it’s your own. But people who don’t understand how dealerships work thinks that he probably down right stole the car for that joy ride, which isn’t true. He just got on it when he shouldn’t have but because of this situation, he’ll probably never have another tech job at any dealership. He shouldn’t have got on it but I’m willing to bet he’s not the only tech there that would have done that.
I would have most likely asked for my car at that moment and told them you will never have my business again, and left the review like you did. I own a 14' mustang and only person I let drive my car without my presence is my dad so I definitely would not have stood for that. But your doing everything right and keep that review up. I wouldn't change it, you can add an update to it but I would leave the original up there so everyone knows the whole situation.
Some friends have told me how at their VW dealer, they’re allowed to joyride, and being next to an area with a lot of factories, tons of space to drift and stuff, some kid ended up hitting a curb at 40 sideways in the snow, he had to pay for it but kept his job, the boss didn’t care

“Trusting” the dealership was your first issue. It’s common sense among most drivers never to go there unless it’s some shit like recall.
J Knives You can't do that with BMW, you gotta go to the dealer
Gee no wonder they going to stop sellin em in Murica
That would piss me off! My car is my most precious object. I am so sorry this happened to you. I hope they really step up to fix this.
Sweet update video. I still cant believe that this has happened
Smolich Dodge is as bad.
The lead technician was supposed to work on a vehicle, he sends the lowest guys out to repair and the master tech signs off as if he did the work.
You could pull black box information to see what happened that day to prove speed and such. It also lets you know if there were multiple occupants.
How do you pull that info?
@@naquoashuey2794 that's because that doesn't exist. There is a snapshot when in an accident.

Yeah, I know. I’m a master certified CJDR mechanic. Just wanted to here what kinda bullshit this guy was gonna try saying. 😂
I used to work for a Mazda dealership, ended up essentially letting go of the idea of working for a dealership as a career. The corruption on most levels is just crazy! Our main service advisor left out damage caused to cars by our techs, would push for repairs and maintenance that wasnt needed, would write up our new cars as being checked in "PDI" 1 and 2, yet the techs never touched them. All shady things, I was expected to lie and push bs too. Couldn't do it....
That's the same thing I told patterson honda personnel when they kept saying there was nothing wrong with my car, "I know my car better than anyone!" Thank you! I'm not the only one thinks that way! I have a 2017 honda accord coupe touring edition. I've taken my car to the dealership 4 times and they gave told there's nothing wrong with it. They put 12 miles on my car to find the issue with my car. I told em you didn't have to drive it that far. You can drive it a few feet to hear the noise coming from the front left wheel.
Wonder how quick the dealership would of been if the the tech did damage on his joy ride. Or got into an accident
Don’t take the yelp down yelp it again that they want you to take it down what dirt bags 💼 🤦🏽♂️
Richard Ortega screenshot the email and post the pic on yelp
Exactly. This just screams bribery.
The approach needs to be "make this right or you are going to have even more to worry about than that single Yelp review."
Great video
Was your car in valet mode?
I used to work at a Chevrolet dealer. And I’m not suprised. I worked the night shift doing alignments leaks and rattled so I had to drive a lot to find the rattles.
A couple of nights a week I would see service cars at McDonald’s getting lunch, and once in a blue moon I would see someone really hammering on a SS Camaro or a Corvette. It was mostly the younger kids on the oil change line.
I brought it up to my boss, he did nothing but turn a blind eye to it. Service departments only care what happens when the customer can catch it.
So when I bring my cars in for service I watch them like a hawk. And my scatpack gets put in valet mode.
FCA needs to start looking at all the dealerships and work on their customer service especially the service departments. This happens all over the place
FCA is a joke
I just purchased my 2019 scat pack widebody about 4 months ago and took it to the dealership to have royal purple put in. My good friend just so happened to do it called n asked if he could a little off route lol told him kool. He wound up flying past his general manager when he got back was immediately terminated. Even when he called me to tell me what happened I told the manager it was ok there is no harm to my vehicle it didnt have to go that far. He said this was the fourth time sumthing like that has happened n it is automatic termination. Felt bad 4 my boi but 2 say that to say this I guess all these dealerships are cracking down on this. Great video jus got a new subscriber 💯💪
Good for you!!! I had a bad experience where the dealership did an oil change and tune up. When I got it back I noticed the oil light on. I called the dealership about it and they said no no no we put oil in it its ok. Idiot as I was I proceeded on my vacation trip. 50 miles out I drove into a service station car smoking and overheating. They put 4 quarts of oil in the car!! but it never ran the same!!! Talked with the owner of the dealership and he defended his mechanic, obviously he didn’t want to own up to the damage!! I walked out saying he lost my business and I’d spread the word around....didn’t phase him one bit ... years later he’s out of business!!
I did enjoy your video despite your face 😂😂😂 I'm glad they are trying to fix the situation. Good job on keeping to your guns and not taking down the review👍
