DODGE DEALERSHIP TOOK MY CAR FOR A JOYRIDE!! I CAUGHT THEM!!

- Опубликовано: 5 июн 2019
- What happened yesterday was one of the craziest moments of my life. I caught the service department JOYRIDING my 2017 Dodge Challenger Scatpack as I was walking to get breakfast! I was walking with my girlfriend and they did a pull right passed me going between 60 to 70 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone! I had only seconds to react to the situation. Once I returned to the Dealership to confront them, they called me a liar and gave absolutely no care to the situation. The level of custom service was the worst I've ever experienced in my entire life, my car and I were completely disrespected and I was made to feel like I was crazy! I recommend everyone watch and share this video to share awareness of what car dealerships are capable of and get away with on the daily!!

Good video, but I do have a few suggestions for the future.
1) Dashcam. It settles disputes quickly.
2) Always take a picture of your gas gauge and milage when dropping off your vehicle.
3) I would have IMMEDIATELY went back to the dealership after seeing my own vehicle drive by me like that. Confronting them when the wound is fresh makes it harder for them to bandage.
I work at a shop where no matter what the service we do what is called a quality check test drive, where we take the car 1-2 miles listening for anything concerning or for brake squeals anything like that and when we do hear a brake squeal it could possibly look like we were joy riding a car when we brake hard and accelerate hard in an attempt to pin point the noise just my bit of input, this sounds like a completely different situation though

“If you need to take your vehicle to “Roger” for anything, make sure you don’t leave any fuel in it, because he’ll burn it out.”
I left my Cadillac with him to have the mufflers changed.. Forgot about the whole gas thing.
Later that day, I was outside at work, heard an awesome sounding car go by, looked up and realized it was mine.. Called my dad, a local cop, told him what happened, he said he’d take care of it. All I said was PLEASE don’t let anyone tow it. He laughed and said don’t worry.
Short time later, he pulls up in his patrol car, picks me up and we go to the station. Right after we get there, my car pulls in with another officer driving it, then several police cars, one with “Roger” in the back.
My dad being the shift Sergeant in charge, walked him inside with like 4 other cops and they all had a nice long chat. I don’t know what was said, but I don’t remember anyone having a problem with “Roger” joyriding anymore after that. LoL.!

Former Porsche tech here:
After an oil change-inspection, we drive the car around the block.
After an alignment or engine repair (we did a LOT of rear-mains at that time) or pretty much anything more than an oil change, the car is driven about 2 miles over a specific route...driven HARD but not raced.
Whenever possible, the tech meets the customer, reports on the car, and provides an additional touch of customer service in the process.

I'd lose my mind if I caught anyone joyriding any of my vehicles!
You handled the situation really well! Props to you brotha! I have a similar experience with my truck being taken on a joyride as well. Im making a video about it soon!
I have a 2019 wrx with dashcams and best believe whenever I get my car serviced I'll sit there and watch till the jobs done.
Every time I go to the dealership, they always unplug my dashcam..
I bought a Chrysler Sebring, and the service was terrible even here in Texas, I swore I would never buy a dodge/Chrysler vehicle again. Thanks for sharing
It's funny when you mentioned how they treated you because it is identical to how my Ram dealer acted when I had an issue. I asked for my tires to be rotated paid for the service and when I got my truck back the tires hadn't even been taken off the truck. Long story short they instantly defended the tech and the service manager did absolutely nothing
I have a 2004 Ford Lightning and multiple times i saw nightclub valets joy ride my truck. I stopped taking my truck to clubs with valet. 🤦♂️
Morres Ortiz that’s why I park my stuff even tho I drive an infinity lol
It happened to me also... at a bmw dealership. I watched a kid race my car right in front of me 🤬
Just waiting for the cease and desist lmfao
Yeey 30k subs❤️💪🏻
I hate to say it but you should of have videographic evidence. I'd be furious though.
Good4Y0u there’s cameras bro
Or take a picture of your mileage and gas meter before and right after your visit to service your car
And I'd be super pissed too
@@SKINFLUTE6105 Bingo. Car's are not going to advance more then a few tenths of a mile entering a shop and exiting a shop.
If the service manager was playing stupid I would have escalated mediately asked for the general manager or the owner of the dealership
acts2211 ok Karen
@@jonasthemovie ok joyride jack
I've had a similar experience, it was on a 09 Dodge Ram 4500 (company tow truck) I brought it in for a oil change and there was some type of recall on the airbag or something like that. I have a built in camera on the inside and outside of the truck just in case there were damage disputes or anything like that. Now both cameras are connected to a DVR inside the cab. When i came back to pick up the truck i noticed some of my equipment on the back was out of place so i checked my DVR (cause i thought someone tried to steal the stuff while it was in the parking lot) come to find out they did about 4 tows with my truck OFF PROPERTY. When i asked them about it they said all the same stuff as you were told, and still tried to deny it when i showed the footage. Since then i have not been back to any Dodge dealership nor will i ever.
My local dodge dealer wont replace the abs pump in my jeep that has the life time recall and warranty they keep giving me a run around answer
