My guess (and it's only a guess) is that the silence was kingsisle was they because of the severity of what happened regardless of reason(s) they were determined to get all the facts, and until they provide a public reason on what actually happened we can only trust that the investigation is still going on.
the timing of kyle leaving at the same time as someone getting the one ring is pretty sus - kingsisle muting ppl from talking ab it in the discord also seems like they want to keep it all under wraps.
I think it's pretty much basic CS policy to check the player logs before restoring items back. Like someone said below, it's insulting to affirm that it was the case to anyone who had prior experience with Customer Support.
It’s much more plausible to assume someone in support just didnt know what the one ring was and gave it to him then Kyle sacrificing his job to give it to him. Its not an insult to customers support, they probably recieve hundreds of emails and sometimes it can be easy to mess something up like that. Theyve been extremely helpful to me in the past and I am very grateful for that.
@@scionofshadowyes 100% the blame would still be on Kindsir. My take is that Customer support just didnt know what the One Ring was and assumed it was okay to just “restore” it. Thats not their fault, they were trying to be helpful, it would all the fault of Kindsir. But as of rn we still have no idea how he got those items.
if I had to guess, especially given the universal power pip, it's for some kind of dev testing purpose, ex. a dev can equip the ring on any character to simulate any and all semi-optimized builds/dual schooling for balance purposes without having to change characters, log out, etc.
Kyle was so sacked, you don't leave one job until you have another. I'm not hating, I don't care enough but yeah, it's unlikely it's not connected. Sad thing is it may affect his future job roles unless KI are so ashamed they say nothing on references.
I made it pretty clear in the note that it may have been overlooked by someone in support. My brother who has played wiz for years has never even heard of the One Ring, you can imagine it would be the same for people in support. As its less actively involved in Gameplay
Update: I can confirm that Kyle was NOT fired and has no involvement in the Kindsir situation at all.
Update: my sources confirm this statement is false
Update: sources say Kyle was fired😂
I remember only seeing this ring while toying with the files. Fact someone actually got it is insane xD.

I remember seeing that kid in background in live streams.
I won't be surprised if Kyle is moved to another part of KI until he finds a new job. KI don't want the embarrassment.

Then the blame goes on who asked for the items, right?

Hey pluto, just found your channel recently and really enjoy the videos you put out. Keep up the awesome work :)
Thank you so much Johnny! ❤
Agreed support don't know squat but if he contacted after deleting "the one ring" he's a moron. A dev has to restore any items.
What I meant was he pretended he had it. Like he pretended to support it was a normal item so he could get it
Why is this ring even in the game... like yea its almost impossible to get for a user, but why risk it? Like the ring doesnt seem to serve any purpose

@@tallmills shouldnt they, idk have a test server and proper tools for it? That seems like an awful idea for testing
🤷🏻♂ like I said, just a guess
It's a Dev only item and is only accessible pretty much if a dev gives it to u apparently
Love makes you lose reason, poor Kyle fell for the wrong guy. No doubt KI will brush this under the rug.
How much you want for it😂😂😂
Kyle is guilty

You are widly insulting the support teams intelligence, wow

You think people that work for Wizard101 are on the same awareness level as your brother? @@Wizheadpluto
