I'd also like to add that I am incredibly appreciative of how long this video is. The one that led me here was a chopped up mess and all I could keep thinking was "need ALLLLL the footage" so this is really satisfying. Thank you
That was great. And fantastic that you didn't talk over it; it was beautiful all by itself, just the sound of the wind and the quiet of the desert and the animal world. I just hope the baby is old enough to survive without milk.
Awwww....very beautiful video and story, I am glad the baby zebra will be okay. Love happy endings and this one is indeed very nice and happy. Love the zebras they are very beautiful creatures. 👏👏👏👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
As I go through life I have realized we have choices. I have been watching videos recently of animals in the wild (mostly lion prides), and when I saw this baby zebra I thought: "oh, no he is going to be lion's dinner!" But as I watched more, knowing how male's are in the wild, I CHOOSE to believe the little zebra went on to have a great life!! Since we do not know for sure, I like the positive rather than the negative!
That WAS his family, the camping humans caused disruptions in the zebras routine, the baby was somehow 'lost' but his family cautiously came back for him... they couldn't even drink water cos the campers were at the water hole 😞 disgusting humans and their holier than thou attitude
Fortunately the baby Zebra has still energy to keep up the herd.. Yeah I too hope good luck on the baby zebra..The God please.. Some milk to the baby zebra...
Oh my, Thank you so very much for sharing this precious video. At the beginning, I was worried for the baby. I thought when when the baby zebra was laying on the ground, he/she had given up to live. I hope the little one is ok and living with a herd.
This was excellent and I would give this a 5 STAR rating. Without a narrator OR as you did with close caption you are left to figure out exactly what it is you are looking for. I know how much work it took to make this happen. You took some time to find out some of the history involved.
Errol Neptune your on my wave length, I've always cared more about animals than humans, always will, humans can be very cruel, when I see an animal hurt or being mistreated it rips my heart out, I was choked up watching this in case the herd rejected him, so pleased it was a happy ending
It's easier to care for animals because it is a much smaller investment. Shame on us for hating ourselves and resenting the sacrifice required to invest in the future of our species.
I am with you Errol on this one..how about doing really something concrete for them..in what ever way can do..if you have any ideas..I am willing to volunteer
I used to love going to a zoo, like the San Diego & Milwaukee zoos. I felt they were nice zoos but after seeing what the animals go through, I believe no animal should be caged. They should be left to run free where they came from. I will never go to another zoo. One of the best movies I have ever seen was Born Free where they fought for the animals to be free.
Not all zebras won't accept other babies that is not theirs. This group of zebras shows their caring for the little poor zebra and welcoming him to their herd. They are so nice and compassionate. I just hope they will lead the baby zebra to meet its new mother and provide it's need for milk.
The little zebra can't keep up with the group, he's tired and hungry, he will be left behind and will not survive alone. Hyenas, Lions, Wild dogs are all hunting for easy preys like that...So sad.
Wow! zebras adopting an orphan is extremely rare..a fimilys stallion is much more likely to kill any offspring his mares produce that is not his!! Any follow up on how this furned out???
They adopted it because it is a very easy bait for lions or hyenas, if lions attack their group, this baby can easily grabbed by them and other older zebras can save their lives.
The baby's mom was probably with that herd and when she died he had no one to feed him so wandered off hoping to find his mom somewhere. I hope he found a substitute mom with milk out there, poor little guy.
Is it common for herds to abandon baby zebras 🦓 if their mom dies? And is it quite uncommon for a new herd to adopt an abandoned baby zebra? Maybe this small herd is a group of abandoned baby zebras that grew up and is now adopting other abandoned baby zebras. Ok, that’s just wishful thinking on my part but fun to imagine.
Don't worry the baby survived and living a happy and healthy life .because ..when animals give a word I will take care of you and welcome someone in their family ..they keep their word and do not back track.....betraying and going back on a promise it's a human invention...animals are good.
Fawn stop living in a fantasy world. You don’t need to call someone an idiot when they’re just stating one possible scenario. They may have been females but none were nursing so had no milk as that was the first thing this foal looked for. So the chances are the goal did die.
Those desert zebra are peculiar in their habits, among the plains bands or herds, different environmental pressures create different responses. These do not migrate to areas of plenty like the herdsmen-familiar plains kind but rather endure the hardship year around in this region. The mares band together traveling about freely with young attached while the stallions are solitary staking out territories for breeding rights, according to dominant stature. This tactic speculatively developed to keep down stallion lethal aggression because in such a sparse place, wgere hostile an arid area, such a scarcity line walked of survival nature cannot spare the young to frivolous displays of dominance competing stallions. Every life is precious contribution to the continuance of species here in an unforgiving land. Not inordinarily an instate censure, rather a re-acurring theme found in nature whereas the females retreat a safe distance away from the aggression of male dominance due, separate to ensure survival of young. Foals even when strong tire easily compared to an adult hardily adapted. There also exist a chance reunited mother, if she's alive as female bands do cross each others paths occasionly, the mares are not territorial., whom the foal is searching for when walking away. Our little foal appears just on the border to eat enough on own to survive hopefully. There are predators about but because prey is scarce, so are they., preferring to distribute in places of abundance. A fifty-fifty odds being I hope in favor the little one's survival, as it appears spunkily determined enough under worst situation to befall a foal, bravely a born leader.
Probably the calf was accepted because the herd was small ... in general foreign zebra chicks are not tolerated in the herd, but the herd being small wanted to grow
Hate to say it but even under the rare condition a random group would let him in there’s almost no chance a mare is either lactating or able to share its milk. Probably why the baby walked away in the first place
These are Mountain zebras. It is highly unusual for a group to accept another group's baby. It is hard to say whether this baby would live. It is very young.
This is very beautiful but I can’t help but wonder if a human wld have rescued him had he not been accepted into the group. We say we need to let nature take its course yet we don’t feel that way when it comes to our lives.
Finally someone who talk sense..... Human interfer with nature all the time at our advantage killing and destroying entere ecosystems and their animals/plants/insects but when they need to have compassion for a baby animal like this zebra everyone is so worried about not interfering with natura..... Please these people are absurd. Next time their mums had a cancer or some health problem let see what they think if the doctors will ask not to interfer with the nature and let their sickness kill them
Africa is hell for innocent herbivores animals but where this rogue lions, hyenas, and cheetah S come and attacks this poor zebras . So 6 + orphan zebra must be safe
The little Zebra was only weak as most likely it won't have been eating as usual due to the stress caused by losing his original herd & now its back with a herd it will soon regain his strength on a diet of sand, stones, more sand & bit of water.
DIRK : do you know IF the baby got milk from another zebra?? Everyone (on all the videos) is wondering that. I did enjoy the video, but unless they feed him, he might die- unless he can eat grass at this age. THANKS
Samar Malik, sadly there were no females with milk to feed it. These Zebra might, might have been part of a larger herd with females but unlikely. A stallion will kill foals born to mares that he did not sire, so unlikely a stallion with a herd would allow him to be nursed by one of his mares.
Thank you for steady shot, good use of zoom, no talking and no background music! This video is an example of wonderfully made nature video.
Yes, exactly right.
Thank you for sharing, that was wonderful. What a cute baby zebra! 💜
My heart melted when the older zebras followed the baby.
I never seen anything like this before. Extraordinary!
Mas poderia ter terminado numa história muito ruim, comida fácil demais

The like him. They really like him.
Nice video.
Very romantic moments in my personal opinion.
Little zebra so cute.
I love africa.
So sad! I hope someone rescued the baby zebra 🦓! It really broke my heart to see the baby zebra was sitting alone in the desert for hours!
:(((
Nature is so cruel
Yes, and why did the little one lay down in the burning sun while there was shadow near by? I was actually telling him over the screen 🤦♀️
Thank you. Very nice and heartwarming video... Nature goes in its own way...
Малышка маленькая, я все видео за неё переживала, слава богу, что её приняли другие зебрушка и она жива, здорова❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for posting ..a heartwarming video without bloodshed..I like it !
Ohh my gosh I really hope tht baby zebra survived it needed milk desperately I wish it wuld hv been saved soo sad😕😕
Tears of joy to my eyes... thank you for posting!
Excellent camwork from Marieke & Dirk - Thanks!

Its actually gotten to the stage where i care more about animals than humans
I am with you on this one, Errol.

I have been that way for years!!!
Awww i hope the baby got some milk and is happy and healthy 💙💙 Animals are so smart, look what this herd did for this foul 💘
So sweet. Such gorgeous markings!!!

the baby zebra to meet its new mother and provide it's need for milk.
Good to see and luckily no predators to spoil the encounter !
One of the most beautiful things I have EVER seen..... Thank you for sharing......
Don't believe a word of it!
zebra kid seems to be still dependent on its mother's milk and can't eat grass. Not too many chances to survive, unless gets help from those people
A group of Zebras is actually called a Dazzle! Haha
Thanks for a great video although I’m very sad about the baby. I hope he gets some milk
He needs some milk!
Awww, that's beautiful. The baby really needs the herd. 💕
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🖐️😍
the big ones are going "hey, here's our "get out of lions mouth free card," let him hang out.
HE STILL WAS LOOKING FOR HIS MAMI.
MAMI, MAMI WHERE ARE YOU ???????????.💔💔💔
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
MAMI I MISS YOU. 💔💔💔
The little zebra can't keep up with the group, he's tired and hungry, he will be left behind and will not survive alone.
Hyenas, Lions, Wild dogs are all hunting for easy preys like that...So sad.
exactly, no food for the baby
“Yeah, okay-I guess you can hang out with us.”
That was so beautiful, i'm going to go hugs kids.
I'm glad this story had had a happy ending for the baby Cbra.
Wow! zebras adopting an orphan is extremely rare..a fimilys stallion is much more likely to kill any offspring his mares produce that is not his!! Any follow up on how this furned out???
It was its family. No way would a stallion adopt a foal that was not his.
Cunning zebras know the baby will be first to go if lions attack, zebra's are really mercenary.
@Tara R I take it you imagine that Zebra's can type.
Thanks for uploading such a good video. Bravo.
Agora minha nota vai 100 para vcs parabéns😂😂😂
It’s like the posse riding over the hill!
A happy end, I was getting sad, that was touching.
I hope the baby was able to find milk, it looks very young.
I was worried about the Zebras reaction to him joining their herd as Zebras can be funny at times, I've witnessed a pair attack their newborn.
He may have blended in with them, he stills needs Mom's milk. Zebra's do not provide milk but only to their own babies. I really hoped it survived.
Da
Aww so happy baby wasnt left behind
I’m glad they let it go with them.
Yep I would have intervened on this one- no question about it!
They adopted it because it is a very easy bait for lions or hyenas, if lions attack their group, this baby can easily grabbed by them and other older zebras can save their lives.

Any update on this baby Zebra? It’s been 7mos.from the time this was taken. Hoping for a happy ending here 😢
Salto, Grow up! Of course the baby survived. Those were female Zebra you idiot! Stop bringing ppl down.
Don't worry the baby survived and living a happy and healthy life .because ..when animals give a word I will take care of you and welcome someone in their family ..they keep their word and do not back track.....betraying and going back on a promise it's a human invention...animals are good.

It's hard to find a happy ending in The animal kingdom.

Oh my word, you're killing me over here.. Did the baby survive? Did it find milk on a mare in the herd? Please tell us

Thanks for your input. What you say makes sense. Due to the harsh conditions other rules are in play.
@@dirkenmarieken Thx, marvelous diversity in awe of nature. 👌👍🖒👊
This zebra should beb adopted by wild dogs as a alive meal.
THANK YOU for this video
Lindo de se ver um lugar assim ,zebras 🇧🇷
Mother Nature. He just wanted to make sure he was with the right group.
Probably the calf was accepted because the herd was small ... in general foreign zebra chicks are not tolerated in the herd, but the herd being small wanted to grow
Very nice ❤️ off orphan zeebra story 🙏
At 1st they looked like Grevy’s Zebras. But there appears to be something different from the back legs. The patterns of the stripes.
heartbreaking story, first optimistic, but probably with sad end....
They need the little Zebra so that when predator strikes, he will be the first casualty and the others will live to see tomorrow
janet john yeah, probably...
Hate to say it but even under the rare condition a random group would let him in there’s almost no chance a mare is either lactating or able to share its milk. Probably why the baby walked away in the first place
🙏🙏🙏😘😘❤️❤️God bless you baby love u
Great video - excellent observed by the way..!!
Baby needed milk, I don't any of those zebra could feed the poor little thing, Sad,
joanie Waller there was a statement after the video stating the group belong to a larger herd. There should be a mare able to provide milk.
No need to go to the court process. Animals understand each other.
Absolutely!
good luck little guy!
These are Mountain zebras. It is highly unusual for a group to accept another group's baby. It is hard to say whether this baby would live. It is very young.

So, the fate is unknown; what an ending
Well done job.god bless you.
How do you know he was ophaned? They were probably temporarily separated and they just found one another
And then Walt Disney made another zebra animation movie😁
This is very beautiful but I can’t help but wonder if a human wld have rescued him had he not been accepted into the group. We say we need to let nature take its course yet we don’t feel that way when it comes to our lives.

I hope the baby found a lactating mother in amongst the herd the adult zebras belonged to. Otherwise it probably didn't survive
I wonder how long that orphan zebra has been alone for.
i think this good video
This was amazing I loved it.

That could very well be a reunion rather than an adoption. I understand the adoption angle will get more clicks.
how long can it last without milk , that's the question. no mother , first encounter with the meat-eaters , might become his last encounter.
Bella.naturaleza.
just hope a mother will give him some milk...
Little that the audience know, the little one is John Connor.
