Hey Nick just wanted to tell you thank you for your advice! Also I have noticed that my YT channel gets a lot of views on my music video reactions. I thinking of making my channel into a music video reaction CHANNEL. I'd like your feed back on this lol thanks bud!
@@Dwot2018 hang in there, persistence pays off.
Thanks for sharing Nick!
@@cecesm.v.channel6450 That's what I did, I found something that people liked and kept doing it. :)
Nick Nimmin Thanks for the feedback 🥳🤩
Not learning how RUclips works was such a huge mistake for me. I literally spent years making videos with no clue. Now that I have a deeper understanding things are going much better. Thanks to people like you!

Yes that's how I feel
The first step is to act like a youtuber and COMMIT! Be consistent and stay upbeat, it's slow to start but gets better and better over time! :D
Great tip!
@@NickNimmin Thanks Nick!
Absolutely!
That makes me feel better. Thank you.

Been growing 2-5 subs a day. Just got sponsored and approved for monetization. Gotta thank those who helped me get this far. Thanks nick 😎👌
Nice, that's a good starting forward motion! Keep it up!!!
@@Dwot2018 Life is unfair but if people are not responding to your content it's because you need to work on your content and how to get it in front of people.
Congrats my friend, really happy for you! :)
Congratulations!!
@@NickNimmin thanks my dude 😎🔥
Not being emotionally connected to my content is the best advice I heard. Thank you for that.
I love these valuable videos. "Failure to plan is planning to fail". I love that. And of course be you! Everyone else is already taken and no one can be you better than you!
👊 ✋
I’ve been watching you since i only had 7 subs. (They were pretty much my friends and family) then soon I got my first real subscriber. That felt amazing. Then I was watching you on a regular basis. I later hit 30 subs. It felt like it happened in a quick flash. About 1 month later I hit 100 subscribers! Now I have 170 subs. I just want to say thank you🙏 if it wasn’t for you I would still be at 7 subs. Guys you have to watch nick. He WILL help you! Thanks for reading.
Nice! Keep that momentum climbing!
Congrats my friend! That is awesome to hear! :)
Beautiful comment... all the best in your journey.
Nick: been a fan since near the beginning, but gotta say: this video feels as professional as any TV show I've ever seen. You've REALLY got the professionalism box checked off more than ever. AND, of course, the content is always great. Thanks as always!
Appreciate that Reactiverse 🤓👊
If you haven’t done so already, can you explain how you do your edits (cuts? - not sure what the correct term is) - being on the right side, then center, then left, etc.
Yes. I shoot my footage in 4k but it's rendered out in 1080p. That allows a simple crop-in (zoom) to happen without a noticeable quality loss.
Dude, another killer video. The lighting and color correction are so spot on.
Thanks Brian, I appreciate it man!
Nick and Brian. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You 2 are my RUclips Dream Team. Not sure where I would be channel wise if it wasn’t for your videos. So far my channel results have been a slow burn. But I am completely up for the challenge and truly grateful for every sub, view, comment and watch time that I have ever gotten. While I am aiming high and learning how to become successful like my RUclips idols; I’m making sure I have fun along the way. Thanks again to both of you. 🙏🏽👍🏽😃✌🏽
"Beginners"?! Cripes, well then color me a beginner because all of these tips are spot on for me. Great job, Nick
Buddy you got 14k subs with 700k views, your a little bit past beginner buddy :)

Now that I’m unemployed, I’ve got more time to improve the quality of my videos. So that’s a silver lining I guess
Believing in yourself and having a strong conviction that you have something to contribute is , in my opinion, what an aspiring content creator should have. The rest is technical skill acquisition and just as you said finding out what your target viewers want to watch! Greatly appreciate it!
I think we're always beginners with RUclips. So much's changing everyday. Always need to adapt yourself and learn! Thanks for sharing awesome tips AGAIN! :)
That's the truth. I'm always having to make modifications along the way as well.

Thanks Nick! Still trying to hone in on what I want to focus on. Right now my channel is still all over the place.
Keep working on it! 🤓✋
Thanks Nick for the tips! Gonna look more into user experience and integrating more insights from data. On a random note, recently got into this design thinking workshop, definitely gonna use those techniques to look into the user experience.
Howdy Nick, I’ve always gotten a ton of great info from your channel - thanks loads for taking the time to put all of this together! What I like most about this video is that a lot of the normal “glitz” you add to your videos isn’t in this one. The details you set out seem clearer to me and it’s easier to focus on your message.
Thanks again for all you do and your hard work!
Thanks for that positive feedback!
Can you do a video about your favorite courses from skillshare? It looks like a very useful website to improve our youtube skills and thank you for the informative video. :D
Noted!
Thanks Nick, a good pep talk for those of us starting out.
If I can ask a question please. I feel my production quality is ok, getting better, and my overall videos are quite entertaining. What I keep failing on is retention. I am trying to find a better way to keep folks watching but I keep stumbling. What is the one thing you would suggest to keep folk watching for longer.
Thanks

I know it's hard to not focus on views and subscribers. I started my channel about 15 weeks ago and it's slowly improving after seeing which videos get views and which ones don't. Looking at your analytics can help you A LOT. I had one video where viewership dropped off at a certain point, I knew that one thing broke the viewer's interest. It's not going to happen overnight, just focus on making content and improving your skills. Nick always has great tips for steady growth, not some magic pill that gets you everything.
Boom 💥 You're on the right path!
*GETS READY TO TAKE NOTES* 😁👍🏼
😀
absolutely!
That's the good thing on Nick's videos. You don't need to take notes. He says it the right way so that everyone remembers the tips forever... right?
I’m going to follow your tips and see if it works on my channel. I’ve started RUclips 3 months ago. I’m sure it will be a long process to get to what I want to be as a RUclipsr . Thanks for this video!

Nice video Nick! i noticed you do not make many breaks when you talk. do you have a script that you read that enables you to do that?

We followed your tips but still getting almost zero views what should we do??
No you're not. You say that in every video. You're not focused on a specific topic. You're targeting topics that are extremely competitive. You haven't optimized your channel page, and so on. You're not doing all of the stuff yet. Keep working on it.
Watch time matters the most in youtube.!! I learned it recently..!! 🙌🏻
Thumbnail and titles. You can have the best video but if no one clicks no one will see it.

So, would you recommend someone that is just getting started to build a team or is that something you feel they should probably wait on? Say for instance, one of my best friends has a videography company and I’ve asked her to train my nephew in editing. He knows the basics but I want him to digest all that he can because he will be my #1 editor. I’ve been deciding on the who and whats from the day I decided I wanted to start a channel. Am I spending too much time in the planning stage? I've researched possible affiliates, designed merch and even started building relationships with other creators within my niche. Am I doing too much too soon?
I would start building a team when you start getting the need to have one.
How can I be a youtuber people wanna watch tho? Hahaha cries.

Hi Nick! do you have a video explaining how you create your channel name with music at the beginning of your youtube video ? how this is called ?
An intro. No I do not - I actually don't recommend them - ruclips.net/video/IG8Xxn2UGJo/видео.html
Your right Nick. I use to just post vids and shorts straight out my device phone editor, and then I started to learn how to use canva, and now I got 10 k views in one bloody month. By making banners shorts and long vids and thumbnails with the app, and I cleaned up my page, any vid that wasnt in the right template format I deleted and redone on canva and now my site looks smick and uniformed. not this channel my other channel.
Great video as always!

I’m having a hard time with retention. They’re watching while I’m on camera at the beginning but turning it off once the craft part begins. I’m thinking it has to do with my audience, it’s 59% men in their 40’s, so I’m sure they’re not interested in crafts. Should I revamp my channel? Maybe do vlogs instead?

QUESTION: I started RUclips documenting a journey and became popular in a certain niche. It is hard when you have many talents you want to share with the world but are trying to grow as a channel at the same time. Do you believe in the beginning you need to stick to a niche that initially gained you some subscribers or is it safe to take a loss of views in the beginning and grow slower doing what it is you love to do? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
Something can be said for growing slowly at the start whilst you figure out your niche/topic and see what resonates with people.
Nick Nimmin I can understand that. Anytime I’ve asked you a question in my two years of trying to grow my channel you’ve responded, thank you for that type of commitment to helping others. 💯

But I remember my mate, told me A long time ago when I posted a vid and showed him the first thing he said was are you going to crop it, and I didn't have a clue how to use templates, but now I got it down to a fine art. So that just stuck in my head for ages I have to crop it. And now I know why, you tube want good quality posts. Cos it's just better for the viewer, they never showed my vids when I didn't know how to crop in canva.
