Your videos are more than cooking videos. They can soothe my soul at a deep level. Thank you 🙏🏻 I hope you are doing good - haven’t heard you talk in quite a while. All the best ✨
All of the spices (except turmeric) you used here are in one of my favorite drinks...Masala Chai tea. I'm certain this vegan ice cream of yours is delicious!! Thank you for the recipe & showing us how to prepare it!! I'm enjoying this site so much!
I love it when the music in the video has drum beats that sound pretty! Drums and piano is my favorite type of music! It's calming and relaxing, the jazz vibes provided by the hi-hat drum music!🥁🎶
Another fantastic video! If I could eat mochi for the rest of my life without consequences I'd do it. 😆 Thank you for sharing this recipe. Cheers to mochi! 🍵😋
Good morning!! Always grateful for your awesome video and recipe!! Looks so good! My mom’s all time fave! Thanks for sharing this! I’d love to try this! Thanks for sharing! Stay safe and blessed always!! 💕Much love from Canada 🇨🇦
I'm so looking forward to your videos.... We have a war, russia is killing us, it's scary... I'm in a relatively safe area. And in order not to go crazy, I watch the video. Thank you
Nato is destroying eu with their misplaced ineffective sanctions that completely backfire to eu citizens ánd it harms Ukraine by sending weapons ánd not wanting to talk to Russia for many months. Its not only Russia. Where two fight two are to blame. Russia was demanding dialogue in relation to nato breaking the Kiev Agreement 5 times and thereby annexing multiple countries. But that isnt explained as invasion by Western media. I am neither for or against any country. But the media lies make people suffer from any area of the globe and the sneaky media points the blame to others and the true masterminds of war (for profit) stay behind the scene. Nato is a USA organisation. Usa is a zionist territory. And the last ones never get exposed. Its a theatre and they divide and rule the innocent very well, again... When will people help each other to wake up from the divide. We are one people. One Love. Only truth will set us free but first it will have to piss us off because we will have to pass through the dark night of the soul. We don't have to go through it alone though. Blessings and stay safe and help each other.
With the ingredients it's more of a medicine turned mochi ice cream form. I had mochi ice cream before and it so good! Though I never had vegan version I bet it taste just as good!
I appreciate your recipe for mochi, as I can’t find vegan mochi anywhere in stores. I’m sure homemade tastes much better. I’m glad you could still laugh while trying to wrap the soft ice-cream…😄. I bet they tasted delicious!👏🤩
I had no idea that もち are so easy to make, would try for sure! I'm mad for them))) Do you have any classical versions as well? I'll check it, don't worry)) Love your videos! Thank you
Wow this looks suprisingly easy. I used to think that mochi making was really difficult. Also, how sweet is the beet sugar? I have yet to try that sugar. Is it similar to palm sugar (sweetness wise?) Thanks for sharing!
We used white beet sugar for ages here, eastern Europe. It compares with sugar cane in sweetness. This is all I know, maybe someone can make it clearer to us.
There are two types of mochi- the one in this video is called Gyuhi! Both mochi and Gyuhi are so simple as it's loved for thousands of years. Mochi is made by mushing steamed glutinous rice.
I think they are about the same, just cane sugar has more even sugar grain-sizes (in beet sugar, some are bigger and some are smaller). This can have an effect on the texture and color of desserts, but no more than this
Love your recipe. Could this be made by substituting coconut milk for cashews and oat milk as another version? What about adding candied ginger? Easier to cube-cut the ice cream sizing.
Hello, I'm not Takashima-san, but i hope I can help as well. I saw recipes where you put it in the freezer and mix it well every hour for the first 4 or 5 hours. But I dont know if its will work for this recipe. It might not be that creamy. But its worth trying 🙂
My dream😴💭, I wanted to fly, I wanted to touch the sky, I wanted to go Switzerland 😃, I wanted to eat Taiwanese mochi, I wanted to eat ☝ ice cream milk mochi, I...... List is big and life is small but I'm enjoying😊🙏.
They look great! I wish I had kitchen space for some more kitchen appliances, I guess it’s not really going to work without an ice cream maker huh! Would it work to trade oat milk for a handful of oats and some water? Seems a shame to go to the trouble of washing up the blender, and then use store bought milk!
If you have a powerful stick blender, I'm sure that you could freeze the Turmeric milk in a shallow container and stir it up several times as it was getting frozen in the freezer. Or dump it 1/2 frozen in your high speed blender and quickly out into your shallow container. Check out a recipe on the net for homemade oat milk, there's no reason it can't work if you find the right recipe, just make sure it doesn't become too gloopy.
I know that may very well be a silly question but why does everyone always use starch and not icing sugar, obviously it’s less healthy and such but for sweets it makes more sense to me. I’m just curious if there’s a reason for it
@@SuziLikesToPlay thanks I guess that would be the case but it only was speculation. The less stickiness makes sense too since it’s less dissolvable, cookings that are covered in icing sugar are so messy…. Didn’t consider that argument, I just thought about taste
@@KuroiPK Also generally Japanese desserts are way less sweet than western ones, and Ryoya san is converting a traditional mochi recipe into a vegan one with a modern popular twist.

Can you replace cashews with anything else? I'm allergic to them :(
I suggest you to try to use 100g coconut cream and 100g oil(use less flavor oil possible) instead of 200g cashews :)

One tablespoon of turmeric is A LOT! Please use turmeric in small amounts and carefully as too much of it can cause liver damage.
Mochi… as ice cream???? \0_0| wow Ryo san, amazing!
Can I use cane sugar? I ve never seen beet sugar in any market, only heard about it…
Yes you can use cane sugar instead!
