Thank you for the voice over narration with speeded up footage. It saves time for the viewers. There are so many RUclips creators that waste time getting out supplies, setting up, or filming repetitious tasks.
Also thanks for sharing such pretty dainty gifts. It is inspiring.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it, there will be more coming ☺️
Minna Humble ..Absolutely right..
Very elegant work
Thank you. This is beautiful!! Can you list the supplies that you used?
I always worry about rubbing the ink of the picture off when removing the paper.
Awesome. I really appreciate this. I learned something new. This was such a sweet picture.Thank you for sharing.

Can you tell me what kind of glossy photo paper you used? My first attempt the glossy photo paper seem to be coated and thick and I could not get it to come of with water, vinegar, sulfamic acid, goo gone. Nothing worked. Your paper seemed thin.
I had the same problem using the photo paper. Any clues?

It's been two years and no answer. I would still like to know what paper she used for the photo transfer. ??
I have recently found you and glad I did. I also appreciate your voice-over method of presentation saving time. I read all the comments to get to know you better as I do with all the channels I might be interested in subscribing to. I can't believe I wasted precious time reading comments on fingernails. Didn't see that coming. Keep doing what you do and "thank you" for sharing your talent with so many. I'll be watching you. Donna, in California, USA.
Thank you so much Donna! I also think that voiceovers are much better for certain types of videos but I am also still experimenting with what works best both for me and for people that watch so bare with me if my format changes here and there :) and about the nails - I guess that some people just have too much time on their hands :D :D:D
Thanks for showing us this. I'm amazed that the ink jet print didn't smudge when the varnish was applied so I'm eager to try your method. Usually, the tutorials say to use a laser print. I was too busy watching and enjoying your tutorial to notice your nail polish or absence of.
cherry grace I’d like to know this too before paying for items & getting very disappointed 😭
I totally appreciate that you always mention that everything in life needs practice. It’s so encouraging! And true of cause. I don’t get discouraged when decoupaging but sometimes when I do other things in life. I always think, I should already be good at it, even when I haven’t done it before. Thank you so much , I will remind myself of what you said!
I just came across your channel and I’m definitely going to try your method!!! I tried different methods from different RUclips channels but none of them were successful as they peeled off and the ink went off as well!! Thank you for sharing :)
¡¡Precioso trabajo!!...felicidades y gracias x compartir,un saludo desde España
This is totally dainty and beautiful, very lovely 😍🌸
Just wanted to say that your idea of using extra fine steel wool is right on. I ran an antique furniture and wood refinishing shop for years and found that steel wool gave the best results over sandpaper or emery cloth. Great tip that I haven't seen any other DIY channels suggest. Cheers.
Hi, I was just wondering if you can use Mod Podge Gloss varnish on this project? Thanks
You can use brown paper bag or Kraft paper instead of steel wool. It’s a lot cleaner and smooths out paint and varnish to a satiny surface with no clean up
I couldn’t give a monkeys about your nail varnish. My mother used to say, some mothers do ave em 😜
My mother used to say, if you can’t say something nice...
Lovely picture, thank you for sharing, its very useful instruction. If you are in UK try maybe Polyvine decorators varnish and Polyvine heavy duty wood varnish. Works like charm, also makes backup transparent and id waterproofing and uv and heat resistant. This company is UK brand, easy to buy online at The Brewers. I was using Wilko varnish but I am more happy with Polyvine
I like your presentation but had to turn off sound. Thanks for the demo.
To much talking
So glad I found you. I want to put a photo I printed out on a 33rpm record. Hopefully I can adapt things you’ve shared to make this work ! Any suggestions? T.I.A.
Interesting method! I'm planning to transfer an image on a wood block for the purpose of relief printing and I will anyway put a shellac varnish on the wood to prevent the carving surface from chipping from wrong places. I wonder if shellac will catch the image similarly as the varnish you used. I'll try to remember to report back here how it went if anybody else wonders the same question.
I can use glue varnish to do this photo transfer ?
if we use mod podge matt, it will work? Green paint you use is acrylic?
A little late to the party on this. I think it’s great. I’ve tried this method and my image, when transferred, looks matte and after final gloss still looks dull. Any thoughts?
I learned a lot on this tutorial. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful and interesting. My mind is spinning with ideas.
🥰 thank you, I’m so happy you’ve learned something new and got inspired! 🤗🥳
Why add the knobs? Is that meant to hang keys or something else? Or just for decoration?
Really good, thank you!
That's an elegant picture of Mordecai,
Good show! 🍭
How do we know About any pictures that is subject to copyright
Bjutifol. Super. ❤️. Slovakia
Can someone tell me why the after effect when dries its blue in some parts?
Strange for some to comment. All serious crafters have either broken damaged nails of their own or pay for fake acrylics. I just crazy glued a huge tear in my nail until it grows out past the torn quick! I’m also curious that the ink jet printer worked. So you need to use gloss paper for the ink jet? Saw someone actually iron the photo onto the top coat, it slightly melted it in. Sort of a similar process as it’s working with the wet (melting) layer of the top coat. I think some are thinking its the old style decoupage from decades ago because of using top coat or varnish. Back then you just varnished the pic to the wood. We weren’t doing photo transfer as far as I saw and I’m old, so like one said using magazines images didnt work. It all smeared.
Haha I guess some people just need things to be annoyed about! 😄 I usually use gloss, matte should work just fine too but I stick to gloss coz I know that it works 😄
تحفة حقيقي very nice
Thanks for sharing your knowledge 🙏 ❤
Amazing! What a beautiful art piece u made!...and so beautifully explained. Thanks very much. :-)
Thank you for sharing your talented I do remember doing this in school so thank you for bring it back into my life but you also could us mod pod it does the same thing plus you will not get dizzy that stuff you are using is not good only with a mask on thank you I did subscribe to your channel
It is WATER BASED!
i have not done this before i would love to learn. i do not know any website to order napkins or print on wood. can you share with me.
Can you please let me know about paper to use i did laser print but regular paper when i pic the papere putting on wood it get ripped because i put decapage please tell me i will tell them ise that paper
When you mention varnish, is that similar to mod podge?
Does this process also work with using a real photograph???
Can you tell me what list of products you used please
I love this!! You did an awesome job explaining! I love watching and listening to you while you create! Stay safe!❤️😊👍
Thank you Mary! Thank you for your kind words! ❤️
Thank you a different way of photo transfer
Hi..if we have to sand down the gloss varnish to matte, then can we instead use water based matte varnish in the first place and then sand it..
Thanks
I find that matte varnish fills down the colours, I sand it down till it’s matte because we need the surface to be as smooth as possible and with gloss varnish that’s one way to know that you’ve got all the areas 😊
Lovely work, and as per many of the comments here, the voice over, speeded up footage, clear presentation and advice is really good. Many thanks!
Is your glossy photo paper from your ink jet printer the same as a picture developed by a store with a glossy finish?
No. Not he same.
Love your tutorial and the fact that you speeded up the 'boring' processes, but left the imporant parts well illustrated. Many thanks.
Hi Thanks for sharing your beautiful project with us crafters. Really enjoyed your video.
Best regards
Jujue
I learned a lot of things. Thank you very much.
Please do a video doing this process on glass
Do you have to sand if it is chalk paint?
malayalies undo
Sorry if I have missed something obvious, but I'm just not clear on this one point. After you have painted, dried and sanded your plaque, you move on to applying three layers of varnish. Please can you clarify whether these have to dry individually, ie varnish - dry - varnish - dry - varnish - be sure to dry completely before moving on to actually applying the picture OR do you simply brush the plaque three times with a coat of varnish, one on top of the other, to make a thick layer before leaving it to dry thoroughly? All your techniques are beautifully demonstrated, so I'm sure it's just me being a bit dim. Thanks for your hard work.
Absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
great content, thanks for these - I'm trying to place your accent but the nearest I can get is Norwegian!! (but with a hint of Irish...:D)
Thank you! haha, my accent is all over the place, I am originally from Latvia, been living in UK for the past 10 years tho and half of them I spent in Grimsby and half in Norwich so go figure :D :D it's a very eclectic mix :D
DECOIPAGE EN MADERA,PRECIODO.
This is so pretty ! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Très beau !!! merci pour cette vidéo .💐
Travail soigné.👍
What is the warnish name....
This is absolutely gorgeous I love it tyfs
Rather than glossy varnish can you use modge podge?
I have heard of other people use it but I personally haven’t tried
Absolutely stunning piece, thank you for sharing your work ❤
I really appreciate this tutorial. But I think it is more better to put the materials needed or used in writing. Because some of the words being spoken are not easily understood (slang) especially to non english speaking countries. Thanks.
Wow really an artist❤
Hello, thank you for this video :)
Please, does the ink come out of the MDF Plate in any chance after the vernish is dry? (i mean while removing the paper from the MDF)
Hello, you are wonderful, you look so beautiful in the way you make! can you tell me which gloss varnish do you use? I would like the brand, because I get shiny and it does not shine! Thank you!
Thanks for the helpful video. Especially thanks for speeding up the boring bits and doing a voice over!
One of my patients looked my hands, and said she could tell I was a hard worker. She was an Eastern European immigrant that was also hard working. I took it as one of my favourite compliments.
Haha well that explains why my hands are always like that then, must be coz I’m an Eastern European immigrant myself 😄 I don’t think many hard workers manage to keep their hands and nails looking glamorous, we have other things to worry about! 🌸😘
How would best to transfer design, photo, napkins etc, to slate coasters? Would this be the same process?
Please do a video doing this process on glass ie., reverse decoupage. I need to cover the glass door on my bread box and this would be perfect.
excellent work!!!!
Do I use varnish or glue on the transferred picture
Use varnish to do the transfer and once that’s on varnish again to seal it all, I did not use glue in this one at all ☺️
I tried a similar method on canvas and I was really curious to see if it's going to work on mdf, thank you for the video!
Please how did it come out on mdf
You said that you can use this process for transferring a photo, does it work for photos that have been printed at a photo kiosk or do you have to print the photo from your printer? Also, do you have any tips for using other paper products, such as an out of date calendar or a magazine? I’ve been wanting to use several old calendars and transfer them onto a pour painted canvas for wall decorations for my daughters. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA
👍🏻👍🏻
Where do you get the roller?
😍
Thank you very much for this amazing vedio
I wanna ask if I can apply the same process on cement surface
Thanks 😘
I really appreciate the handcraft, very fantastic. I wish to have more information to put this to practice
Very nice,
I am new to your channel and I just watched a few of your videos. Did you first peel off the back of the photo paper with tape to make it thinner as you did in another video? Thank you for all of your instructions. I am new to decoupage and I love your channel!💕
Hello! :)
No, when I do a transfer like in this video I don't peel the back off, just put it on as is :)
Dainty Gifts oh thank you for getting back to me so fast! I simply adore you and your channel! Going over to Facebook and following! Thanks again!
oh that's no problem at all! Thank you for your kind words!
Yay! I’ve been trying to figure out exactly to do this very thing.
Thank you
This looks beautiful! I am always in awe of the process and the result that it leads to. Have you done any of these as decorative wall plaques without the key knobs as well? They would look so nice. I am quite upset that I cannot order any from you due to shipping, lol!
The fact that it is a picture made me wonder if it would be an option to offer this as a personalized item with people's own pictures of their family or whatever picture they've taken. They could send you the picture they would like to have on whatever surface you offer like a plaque or any of the products that would be appropriate. Or even something like the heart ornaments to go on the Christmas tree but with kid or family pictures. I've seen people who put pictures of their kids into ornaments to go on on the tree.
I've thought since I came across you on the other channel that you truly have the nicest voice to listen to.
Thank you lovely 😊 I know, the postage can be silly expensive but to be honest smaller items like this one shouldn’t be too bad or little hearts or coasters for example I know I sent coasters to USA not long ago and it cost me around £6 so it’s not an insanely huge price I think Canada should be the same so if you think you would like something smaller / lighter I could definitely look in to it for you. And of course for you any personalisation and anything else you might want 😄
About the personalised things with peoples photos - to be honest I thought about that but It really doesn’t appeal to me all that much I am very selfish and enjoy having the creative freedom however maybe I really should start doing something like that - that would be more likely to make me some money 😄
Thanks for the video...it is so much different from the Mod Podge ones and I as a photographer have tons of paper to use so thanks tons for the great video.
μονο το μανικιουρ με εκανε να μην δω το βιντεο
iam sorry
Very nice!
Do you use Mod podge as well or do you think varnish better
Could it be crackle glazed after the coat of varnish
What is the sandpaper grade did you use?
Can’t remember exactly as its been a while but anything 120 and upwards should do when you’re prepping the surface and later I used extra fine steel wool 0000-000.
I have been wondering how to t do this. Thanks so much. 💚
Can I do the same technique to clay pots? Or to any surface?
thank you for this, what is the name and brand of the ' gloss varnish' that you used ?
Which paper do you use to transfer the photos? I tried with inkjet photo paper but it was hard to get the paper out
Can this be used for a canvas too?
Probably- I haven't tried it for myself tho so can't say for sure
Very interesting process, I will be anxious to try this. Thank you so much for the great tutorial, it is so kind of you to share your knowledge. 😊
Love it..... cyndi m.
Just subscribed to your channel💕

That's great that a regular inkjet printer can be used!
