Drum Channel, thank you so much for inviting me to jam with Chad and Gregg! I had the most incredible experience, one I will never forget. Thank you Don, Thank you Chad and Thank you Gregg. Nandi x
Chad & Gregg are unbelievably wholesome here. Love how they impart their advice in such a supportive and fun way. Their reactions to Nandi’s incredible ability is also fun to watch. What a feel-good clip. Thanks everyone! ❤
Nandi is a force of nature and a rising star. Gregg and Chad exude such infectious enthusiasm. My face actually hurt I smiled so much just watching 3 drummers hang. Thank you Drum Channel.
This is so heartwarming. Chad and Gregg are such gentleman. They don’t patronize Nandi at all, instead they give the support to comfort to learn and develop. So sweet!
🎼BRAVO TO BOTH CHAD & GREGG FOR OFFERING TIME FROM THEIR BUSY SCHEDULE TO TEACH THE YOUNGER GENERATION AN ART THAT SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO BE SUPPORTED AS WE SPEAK🎶 UTMOST RESPECT🙏
I got to watch Greg Bisonette at Sight & Sound Music in Muncie, IN back in 2000/2001. He played the theme song for King of the Hill. He was putting on a show for the locals there. Learned a lot of from him and was inspired afterwards. Still inspirational to this day.
It’s always so cool watching real masters teach and impart wisdom with such passion. Both men, with their resumes, seem so down to earth and love with their craft. And goodness, Nandi is keeping up with them with such ease. Love this all around
this is so awesome. these guys are loving doing this with this amazing young lady. im 53 years old and just started playing 2 weeks ago (after 43 years of wishing for a drum kit) this is inspiring.
yay, that's awesome! hope you're sticking with it. I can usually pick up most skills pretty fast, but I'm useless at anything other than a straight 4/4 beat, so much respect to each and every drummer
It is the epitome of passing it along. I can see her nerves but she's got chops no doubt. It's not about age it's about love of music, loving to play and loving to show others how. We are lucky to live now in the era of RUclips with SO MUCH instructional content and exposure to talents like Nandi. She embodies the "I want to do this and I WILL learn how" mentality. A lesson for all humans here, don't let anybody say you can't because you can if you put your mind to it and disregard anybody's non-constructive criticism. If it's in your soul, let it out, don't hold back.
So many great comments on here saying exactly all the things I felt. Such fun you three were having. All credit to how the vid was filmed and the sound done. I am not a drummer and find the skill of drumming amazing to watch. I think some people do not appreciate all the things that go into the drumming part of any performance. Great that these top drummers are producing vids like this.
@Drum Channel, Chad and Gregg - so incredibly awesome of you to put this together for Nandi. The best part of the vid was watching her soak it all in and asking questions. Helping shape and inspire the next generation - Loved it. Nandi, you're an absolute joy to watch play!
It looks like Chad and Gregg had as much fun jamming as Nandi did. The pure joy that emanates from every pore of her being whilst drumming must be contagious :-)
THIS my good people is probably the BEST video to ever come across the internet, OF ALL TIME!! Three excellent drummers, two professional, and one who will be known around the world as a top drummer, in her own time. All three having fun doing what they do. When they 'Traded Fours' I was absolutely floored, Nandi totally held her own at 11 years old with two VERY well known professional drummers, and played expertly, when many many older drummers may have been star-struck and choked in the moment. Nandi picks up what Chad & Gregg were laying down almost instantly. Such an honest and wholesome video. You are all three amazing people, and all three amazing drummers.
Your comment is ridiculous. When a drummer takes lessons from another drummer, they are peers at different levels, and there to learn and have fun. It is not helpful to propel a kid, and put expectation on her to be a top world known drummer. You are expecting her to be at a level she may not achieve, and may not want to achieve.
@@RockyTop85 I don't give thumbs down. You are talking about an 11 year old kid, who because of her Dave Grohl thing is now expected to be a super drummer. You don't think that Dave just conveniently chose to be nice and supportive to her? Most nice people, especially responsible parents, support and encourage kids but are also realistic about expectations, such as Chad and Greg did, but to give her false hopes that she is great is just bullshit. She is at the level a drummer of her playing experience should be, just like thousands of others. Just don't go the whole Hollywood Mum crap on her, that fucks kids up.
This put a lump in my throat, This encapsulates the joy of drumming and music, Nandi, you are completely amazing and Gregg and Chad you are both top blokes for doing this. It put a huge smile on my face from start to finish and a tear in my eye. Amazing 😁👍
This is awesome. It’s great to see a complete lack of ego from these famous musicians. What a great kid. She’s going to be a great drummer and I bet she never gives up after this experience.
This is so amazing. Love Nandi. She is so genuine and you can see how much she loves to learn. So great of these two legends to sit and teach her. She will remember this always. Good job, lads!
Great thing about teaching drums is how you can show students music from ANY genre and they will enjoy breaking it down, its always a blast. Breaks down barriers too, hard to hate whats fun..
Here it is - not only playing drums is fun - learning drums is fun, too! Even watching a little open-hearted kid having fun learning the drums is fun! Inspiring, too! Thank you very much, Lady & Gentlemen!
Such a sweet child, and how gracious these drum giants were! They were very welcoming, helpful and inspirational to mandy and all watching. Couldnt have picked two better gentlemen to do this show with Mandy, lighthearted playfulness wins the day!
Well I wasn't going to watch this whole thing but I'm sure glad I did! Kept my interest from the very beginning. That little lady lot of talent and potential. And to be inspired by two great drummers like Chad and Greg had to be the thrill of a lifetime. Something she will never forget. It's great to see such young Talent.
My gosh...three amazing drummers. It's inspiring and heartening to see an older generation paying it back to the next generation. And Nandi...good lord...she's a killer already!
No matter what Chad plays - it snaps! Never heard another player that simply from the way he hits a drum, regardless of pattern - you can tell exactly who he is.
God bless you Nandi, love your passion and drive, may you have all your dreams come true! You are in great hands with these two legends, how lucky you are.
This is just awesome and unbelievable to see these 2 legends teaching this girl things that she does after seconds. Just great watching you! Keep up the great work!
One day, Nandi is going to truly realize just how special these opportunities are that she has run into now from all of this. I'm sure she appreciates it now, but when she's older she'll really get it. I look forward to seeing her progress, seriously. Imagine seeing her on TV in 20 years and how crazy it's going to sem.
This is the best drum video I have seeing in a long long time. It was just perfect and beatiful. Thank you Nadi to bring such life and joy to our beautiful instrument
Just a permagrin on my face the whole time. Nandi, you are an amazing musician and I only wish I could pick things up as fast as you! Keep it up and I look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future!
When I first saw Nandi I wondered if she'd just develop as very good but very squeeze rock drummer. Then bam she's changes this conversation "do you know samba" from square to round. The second she masters compound meters she'll be the next jd beck.
I played drums in middle school and high school and was all city and all state every year but playing the set was the best I love to see stuff like this more of our youth need to get exposed to the arts. Great video.
I was at PASIC in I think 1996. I went to see Marvin Smitty Smith do a clinic. I arrived early and found a seat out of the way, not near anyone. I’m not really paying attention (I’m reading something) and this guy sits down next to me, reads my PASIC badge which had my name and home town written on it. He said to me “you’re from Traverse City?!? I’ve been there many times!” It was Gregg Bissonette! A guy sitting in front of me says, “who’s from Traverse City?!?” as he whips around to see who is sitting behind him. It was Chad Smith! Both of them being from Detroit had been to my home town many times. The three of us had a great chat! They were super friendly and personable. I have a picture of it in my office! Great memories!
We will be hearing from this young talented lady for a long, long time. She can hang in there with the very best now. I love her barefoot approach, so natural.
Had to post after watching this chad and his boy are inspirational for youngsters looking to take up music ,they make it cool to just 'play without being over critical like most youtube instructors who like to keep you hangin
Drum Channel, thank you so much for inviting me to jam with Chad and Gregg! I had the most incredible experience, one I will never forget. Thank you Don, Thank you Chad and Thank you Gregg. Nandi x

Nandi i wish you could of met Neil Peart of Rush ! Keep it up girl !
Nandi. It’s truly a pleasure watching you play. Keep up the awesome work 😁
You can tell both Chad and Gregg are beyond impressed with this girl. Pure smiles of happiness and enjoyment from both.
I was thinking the same thing. They talk with here like she is a peer and not a student.
My face hurts from smiling for 30+ minutes straight. Love it!
Chad & Gregg are unbelievably wholesome here. Love how they impart their advice in such a supportive and fun way. Their reactions to Nandi’s incredible ability is also fun to watch. What a feel-good clip. Thanks everyone! ❤
I was teary-eyed after the improv section.
"Can you teach me properly so I can actually master it right now." MASTER it? Holy cow. This young lady is on another level.
She’s amazing
Nandi is a force of nature and a rising star. Gregg and Chad exude such infectious enthusiasm. My face actually hurt I smiled so much just watching 3 drummers hang. Thank you Drum Channel.

Little girl brought Samba out of nowhere and killed it! Seen them play some samba was amazing.
Man, Chad Smith is a great drummer and just a genuine good guy.
The joy in Chad‘s face is priceless.
Gregg Bissonette is such a wonderful teacher. He always tried to teach her new skills and levels of drumming, without patronizing.
My attention piqued when he mentions J Dilla, and even D'Angelo. Sounds like he pays attention to music as a whole.
@@bradf.9365 He's played on al sorts of records not just rock a lot of pop too.

Love this. I'm a sound engineer and always appreciate the inside. Chad is sooo awesome.
I’ve never been quite sure if Nandi is just amazing ‘for her age’ or is genuinely good right now

Can we all just take a moment to recognize how nice Greg's kit it?
