From what i gathered from other vids. is that the whole drama did not start with tectone. But a guy named tuonto that ask the people in twt if he has a shot with Robin, then his comments were filled with people hating him and saying how robin is a lesbian. Then tectone made the tweet in defense of tuonto in which broke twitter yet again

It did not start with tectone, Tuonto made an innocent post about liking robin and people started attacking him cuz ‘stay away from her creep, she’s a lesbian!’ And tectone wanted to get the heat off of tuonto and to himself cuz he can laugh about that and that’s why he made that tweet making sure to sound exactly like them and succeeded in self reporting them
tbh i saw the post before the drama and it was mostly ppl joking like "maybe if you were a women haha" or "she'd leave you for a man" like i see them as nice funny jokes. after that some chroniclly online kids started fighting to prove tuontu is bad as if their lives depended on it. then tectone took the opportunity to, as usual, fight against middle schoolers on twitter bc he too has no life.

People who force their headcanon onto others of Robin being a lesbian are making out that it's canon with the most stupid reasons. There's a difference between canon/extremely hinted/coded and headcanon but majority of these people try and slide it into the canon/coded section.
Characters being coded/implied of having non heterosexual relations such as Kaveh, Alhaitham, Beidou, Ningguang and others are completely different to this whole Robin situation which really just shows how annoying it is. As someone who is gay and loves Hoyo's games the community has just really shown how pathetic/petty people are if someone else doesn't agree with their headcanon (robin being the example)

For example lets just say I headcanon Boothill as a trans man but I make out for it to be "canon". In order for me to grab "proof" of trans masc Boothill i could say that he's a robot, didn't like his appearance before and we have no idea about his true identity before he became a robot (not the best example but this will help with my point)
We all know that trans masc Boothill isn't canon but a headcanon. But what if i escalated this situation of misinformation and convinced more people by the day.
It's practically the same situation as Robin's as I do feel like the headcanon must have gotten out of control like my example with someone starting it with "Robin is a lesbian because she has the lesbian flag underneath her left eye". This can further go on to this information spreading which can practically give the perception of her being coded because of how much it has been mentioned

This was the kind of issue that I expected to happen yet I'm still disappointed that it did happen because I kinda like the Robin and Boothill pairing, it started to grow on me because a potential dynamic between the two could be funny and cute. Twitter just never ceases to make everything a problem

-Kiana and Mei

I could probably reach the character limit on a YT comment listing off all of the issues in the world more pressing than the sexuality of a fictional character. The devs purposefully keep stuff like that vague so that players can project whatever they want onto them (they are trying to sell you a product).

I think some people would like to see themselves be represented in the game they're playing, which is fine. Problem starts when they jump to conclusions at the slightest hints. I'm gulity of this too to a degree, the way Aventurine is written strongly suggest he might not be totally straight, however I would not start a war over this, because at the end of the day that's just my personal opinion.
I think that on a certain level people “forcing” their headcanons can be annoying. But when marginalized people, like people who are queer, see themselves in a fictional characters, they’re often told by society that they’re not allowed to do so. And while that may not have been the situation, marginalized people using headcanons as a means to have more representation is very often refuted simply with “why would they be x thing, there’s no proof”. Queer people have to defend their headcanons from people who think that “straight” is the default setting for every fictional character. And I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume a lot of these people are aggressive just because they’re used to being defensive, used to being invalidated. Obviously not to excuse any potential harassment, but still.

Ima be honest. I do enjoy the idea of her being a lesbian because of those colors. But I think its stupid for the community to insist a character is canonically lesbian and force their headcanons onto people. Im all for sexuality headcanons, but it's a headcanon for a reason because it's not confirmed. People like this give the community and lgbt community a bad look with their pettiness and toxicity.
Also we haven't even seen much of her in the story. For all I know she could show up in the story and start making out with Boothill. It's wild people will say they know something for a fact when the character isn't even out yet.
This game was made by a chinese studio, none of the characters are lgbt.

For me, my reaction the eye-dot theory was just "huh, that's neat" and "I like that theory" before moving on. Do I like to think that Robin may be a lesbian? Yes, because I personally prefer not to think of or engage with men in a romantic or sexual way. Is the eye-dot theory part of my own headcanon? Yes, because I think it's a cute idea.
People need to understand that there's nothing dramatic about sexuality, let alone that of fictional characters. What people should be focusing on is finding their own enjoyment in the game, pointing out what could be improved, and discussing the characters and lore.

no character in any of these games are straight or gay because hyv would never give the character a canon sexuality and ruin the free money glitch that is being able to bait straight AND gay ships to make people want to make fan works/talk about these characters/make ship edits/etc. saying xyz character is straight/gay/bisexual would just make people be extremely annoying online and after all the insane honkai 3rd incidents including the ceo of mhy almost being stabbed i cannot imagine them ever confirming any sexualities of characters.

Well, if you research queer coding, that's not quite how it works all the time. Hoyo is very well know, even in China, to have a lot of queer coding in their characters. Not too crazy since in early Honkai days, one of the lead writers was a woman who's hinted herself to be queer. (I don't know if she still works for Hoyo though.)
Remember though: coded ≠ canon.
Now it can be argued there's some ambiguous coding going on with Aventurine (I mean, a lot), however, in the case of Robin it's a lot more clear.
Robin is definitely coded with lesbians in mind. Does that make her canon lesbian? No. Because for marketability ALL characters' sexuality stays ambiguous.
Point is, Robin has a lot more obvious coding than Aventurine. Interesting is however that Robin has coding that you'd typically see in western media, whilst Aventurine is typically Chinese in his coding.
