That is one of the best vids I’ve ever seen for a bleed. Nice!
Thanks.
Owning just freshly a Trickstuff Maxima for 1.2k I see the „similarities“ but must admit, they have done a pretty good job here. And the Maxima is difficult to bleed, no bite point adjustment and so on. The new generation of these brakes here with leverage rate adjustment is definitely a option to buy - for half the price of a Trickstuff brake.
Can you tell more about the difficulties with bleeding Trickstuff brakes?
@@mtbboy1993if I'm not mistaken they recommend bleeding them off the bike
@@bobareturned the Trickstuff yes, the hav ebleedport on the side. I se Parktool has a tool that allows you holt the syringe onto the grip while you hold the lever body. Trickstuff probably had a reason for a bleed port ony the side. But not user friendly.
Trickstuff is easy to bleed. After youre done on the caliper, Change the top bleed from a syringe to a funnel and do the Rest. I found it Harder to bleed pre 2012 avids.
@@AverageTom91 But you still have to take the brake off the handlebar to bleed them as the bleed port is on the side. So that's extra work tha would otherwise be unessesary, but has to be done on Trickstuff Maxima.
How in the hell you still have only 134 subs? Awesome videos and awesome looking products! I wanna buy some surely. Good luck with further development!
Thanks. Feel free to contact us when you are going to buy brakes.
@@lewisbikeofficialcan I use any mineral oil to bleed this brakes?
@@weekendrider6505 Yes, make sure you drain our mineral oil out before you bleed other mineral oil.
Cool!
I bought these breaks a couple of months ago absolutely great brakes highly recommend. and was wondering if it was ok to use the black hose. I guess it is by the video. as it came with the Kevlar hose...?
Thanks, Our LHT and LH4 are using the black K28 kevlar oil hose, and the k28 oil hose is of better quality than the steel braided one, and easier for cutting as well.
@@lewisbikeofficial that's great thanks for that...🙂
Got my Pair of the Ultimate and it is amazing
Juat order a set of the LHT. You simply cant get these features anywhere else.
brake looks so good and from what i've seen they seem to be better than my hopes i think i'm gonna get them i'm just worried about brake fade with them being mineral oil! can you run any mineral oil in them like bionol hydraulic brake fluid?
Yes, our brakes can run Bionol Hydraulic brake fluid in them, but need to drain the original oil in the brakes firstly.
If you buy them do you get both front and rear or only 1 ?
Both Front and Rear Brakes
What brake bleeding kit is that? The syringe looks nice with that attachment
You can order the bleed kit from us directly. Thanks.
Trickstuff made in china?
I get the basic process, but as you show it, there is a problem with this video. You start with an empty funnel and a full syringe and then you show the first bleed step as pulling from the syringe. That should be a push. Or am I missing something?
In the video he first pulls any bubbles to the syringe then pushes the liquid the back through so any remaining bubbles make their way to the funnel above

@@lewisbikeofficial any Amazon link to the exact bleed kit you use? Its kind of confusing...
@@melindajones304 EZMTB 2022std is what ive seen someone say
@ajones304 The brand is EZMTB. They do offer different kits but it just depends on what kind of brands you are going to use them for, or if you just want the complete kitt you can use for both mineral and dot fluids. The kits are fairly inexpensive so I recommend just getting the complete kit because it's so good to just have a kit like this at hand, and if a friend needs some help you got pretty much all brakes covered in one box.
I'm not going to post any links because I wouldn't click links from random strangers, so just use any search engine to your liking and search for EZMTB and you can take it from there because it's well known.
PS: It says at 0:07 at the bottom of the box it says STD which means they have the standard kit in this video. The kit I have is called Universal, which means it covers Mineral and DOT fluid systems.
What brand of mineral oil is needed for LH4 and LHT?
We are using EZMTB mineral oil. If you cannot get it, you can use Shimano mineral oil for instead.
@@lewisbikeofficial What grade of Aluminum is used?
@@johnbravo7542 7075 aluminum
Is it ok to just fill up the system with shimano mineral oil or is it necessary to fully replace it if using Shimano and not ezmtb oil?
@@InfectAionif youre about to Use a different brand oil, i personaly recommend to flush the system of the old.
