Generally have 2 options to lift. 3 really. And yes, new ones are heavier/beefier. 1. Crank your existing T bars up, has its downsides for comfort and load capacity. Not ideal. 2. Add spacers on your ball joints. Not a bad option. 3. New heavier T bars. The ride height adjustment you get out of them is pretty tame, and any other weight you add to the front end (winch/bumper/bigger engine etc.) is supported better.
Did you have any issues with the greaseable shackles? Mine seem to be too wide and don't snug up around the frame hanger or spring, which leaves a gap I'm not sure is correct. Great video, and thanks!
Got a set of the 21/2 inch springs on the back of my 81 4x4 Toyota, I think I am gona try em without the overload, It’s been a year and still have 3 bags of sackrete in the back close to tailgate, They are still stiff as heck
@@AdventureTEQ well have not done it yet, and was reading a forum And that will do nothing , if you think about it, an overload doesn’t come into play until lots of weight compresses your springs, so mayb it’s just me,, I’ll do some more reading,,
This video is great, I can't believe it doesn't have more view/comments. Do you have a breakdown of the parts you bought for this. Obviously leaf springs, shocks, torsion bars. I'm about to do this on my 88, I don't want to forget any bolts or bushings.
Where are you located? My supplier, Cruiser Outfitters in SLC Utah has all the parts listed on their site for the full kit they sell. www.cruiseroutfitters.com

What do you mean? If anything the shackle angles would be more close to a 45° angle 📐 if it were perfect. Meaning the springs would be longer. But, being heavy duty suspension, when loaded up super heavy, the shackle achieves closer to that angle. Please tell me you’re not building suspensions with vertical shackles. Because that’s the way you guarantee the roughest ride possible! Basic suspension geometry.
I'm so sorry. He was fitted with good wheels, tires, and suspension. However, it did not remove the rust. The fact is very uncomfortable. Get rid of the rust and purify my eyes
Sweet truck!
Great video. Why would you need new torsion bars though? are they a different size or something?

Mine seemed to fit up just right. No gaps.
Looks awesome! Just got one myself. What size tires and rims are those?
Thanks! They’re 15x8 rims. 33/12.50R15 tires.
@@AdventureTEQ Awesome, thanks! Can't wait to get myself a cool set of tires like that!
Great vid, the back doesn’t look bad at all tho, at least in the video!

@@AdventureTEQ ah ok they look like 33s in the video

Where can I get this exact lift kit?
Cruiser Outfitters in Salt Lake City (Sandy) Utah. Tell them Adventure Teq sent ya!
Is this a 3 inch lift kit?
Yes. I think they call it a 2.5-3” Heavy Kit.
I think you might have the wrong length springs. That shackle angle doesn't look right

@@AdventureTEQ I agree it should be closer to 45. Those springs must be designed for some constant load then.
Where did you buy this??

Good.
Thanks
I'm so sorry.

😆🤣 One day! I’m keeping an eye out for a new rust free bed!
@@AdventureTEQ You were thinking ahead of time.
I'll look forward to your rusty bad video. Have a good day
