Beautiful voice, but I don’t like her choices. The transitioning between singing/speaking feels awkward and actually disrupts the vocals in a way I haven’t seen with other Elphabas. It’s just missing something (practice? training?), but again, beautiful voice nonetheless.

I KNEW she would be the perfect Elphaba! Ever since I first heard her sing in The Prom, I knew I felt some Idina Menzel vibes! I mean not in the sense of "oh she's just an Idina copy" but in the sense of that like Idina, she can pull off the type of vocal abilities necessary for the role of Elphaba and she's the perfect candidate to do the role if Idina herself ends up not doing it for the movie. Also I know people want Dove Cameron to play Glinda but I personally feel actors who have done a lot of Broadway deserve the chance to partake in the film adaptions of the Broadway shows. Edit:Ok I know Dove has done some Broadway but I still don't totally know if she's the right choice for Glinda.

I really wanted Ariana as Elphie and Dove as Glinda, I mean I love the casting for the Wicked movie but honestly Ariana won a Oscar award for West Side Story and I think Ari would of been perfect for The Wicked movie! If NBC Live does Wicked Live, please cast Ariana and Dove as the main roles!!! I know I've seen many rumors about Ariana and Dove being the main leads before Ariana G. and Cynthia
Lol you do realize that Cynthia overall is a better actress and singer. No offense to debose but Cynthia overall is just better. And she has a Tony, Grammy and Emmy and two Oscar noms. So we’re in great hands.
I know we all want someone not white to play Elphaba, but I don't know how to explain, I just don't think Ariana has that magic voice an Elphaba has to have! I love her, I just don't think she's perfect for the role.
