It’s always Nice when you can be Pre-Loaded for a Morning Trip, it just helps to get your day Started a Little Earlier and be Ready First Thing in the Morning. Glad to hear that he managed to get loaded for a Monday Morning and as willing to help you out with the Shop Curtain while he was there.

Andy glad you and I survived the eclipse. A little corn has been planted here. Last week we had a cold front so I think people held off. This week is rain about every day. Ideally the 10th - 20th is the optimal time to plant corn in this area. I have a feeling I’m in for some late nights when it dries up.
Great shop, Grump, ever thought of putting in a few more doors for easier access/egress? We used to put plastic bags over our hydraulic outlets when not in use. It kept them clean and dust free. Springtime is always a great time of year to be farming. Wish you had smellavision, I love to smell the earth being turned over in the spring. Here's hoping for great seeding weather.😮

Well Grumpy, I'm 65 and I knew this moon sun stuff in grade 4. Distances and sizes. And for another tidbit, there is a total solar eclipse somewhere on the earth every 18 months. Really like your show!
hold up your thumb between your face and the moon, sun or what ever you want. At the right distance your thumb will cover the large object. It doesn't make your thumb the same size of the object..
I think you're closer to spring than I am. Having said that I planted peas, and lettuce Saturday. That's probably on schedule because the commercial pea fields are usually up by the end of April. Thanks Andy.

Good morning class. Please take out your Astronomy books, we have a special guest Professor today. He will be discussing Astronomy and also touching on hydraulics on modern farming equipment. There will be a 25 question quiz following. Next week we will be visiting a real work crop farm for hands-on learning.
On those batteries I try to charge them every two weeks or so. It's a pain but keeps them alive. Don't have any trickle chargers so I jump around like a circus clown with a corded charger. Don't leave the old style on too long. That can kill them also.
@@TheGrumpyFarmer I got one of the 75 to 100 dollar shumackers that has several modes. First one ive had that's automatic so it won't over charge. Been great so far. Have an old solar brand that is about 40 years old. Just can't forget and leave it on.

Think I'm done with older equipment and doing a update in July.. Hate when it gets to the point you put in more parts than you get run time out and time lost from fixing things.. Speaking of hooking up hyd hoses, I used a system of marking using electrical tape or ties, number 1 outlet has a wrap , number 2 has double wrap, and number 3 has triple wrap and so on to help tell which outlet to hook up to . Spray painted the ends of each pair hoses with different colours

Maybe not - anyway, if you imagine earth is about the size of a soccer ball, the shadow cast is possibly about the size of a golf ball and it moves across the earth - that's why the eclipse travelled from Mexico up to Canada....

There are a couple cool shows about the moon, its size, its distance from the Earth and distance from the Sun. To sum it up.....the moon was placed there. Too many perfect measurements that achieve an eclipse, not coincidence.
I have a question... There's some 156ish moons around Saturn. Imagine having eclipses any next day (lol) Wouldn't it be interesting to have at least a few pictures from there? I mean, if nasa would do a bit of work from time to time.
The whole thing is 48 x 120 the part that I heat is 48 x 36 if I had to do it over again I’d make it 60 foot wide instead. But I have the 40 x 80 cold storage building over between my house and the old dairy barn so that helps.

Try one of the battery maintainers. They only charge when the battery needs it and they won't over charge your battery.

Use colered zip ties, on hoses
The hoses already had colored bands on the ends of them. I just had to remember which color goes to which outlet 🤦♂️🤣
