I would love to see this video with a more detailed explanation of the calculations for number of wire wraps, and wire size. I would also like to see a more detailed explanation of the process for wrapping the rotor. You are so skilled at wrapping the wire that it was hard for me to follow the process.
@@ekrestoration you can edit to make shorter, not included taking motor out and in while talking to your audience to further interact with them and people will want to watch a longer more detailed video
Made it look so easy. But you should make a video with more emphasis on detail. I think a lot of people have this problem and you showing us what we can do is awesome,, 👍
You are either a hobbyist, or you have other reasons to do this work. Normally the cost of rewinding of such a motor would probably exceed the value of a new chainsaw, bought for proper voltage. But your work is nice and professional.
THanks, now i know i'll stick to the 2200-110 transformer lol edit: i'm gonna see if i can do it with SCRs or TRIACs, like in a lamp dimmer, but it *MUST* be foolproof!!!
Not gonna lie when he started grinding off metal I was like "what the hell is he doing" then he started talking and said he was balancing it and i was like OHHH that makes sense... xD
yeah minkita and even dewalt do not take that much care with their products just like cast parts they will only remove what tags that keep it from functioning and only roughly
We rewind 4 time in one hole , I would like to detail . Both 110v or 220v, rewinding 4 time in one hole . *2 , it mean that for 220v longer than 110v 2 time .
I disagree. This person is extremely skilful and uses their knowledge and just the tools necessary to get the job done without relying on anything fancy. Nothing worse than all the gear, and no idea.

This is so bad idea you lost your time and damaged very famous brand like Makita otherwise you have to use AC transformer from 220 volt to 110 volt to avoid all this damage.

Wow...ein super tolle Arbeit. Hab noch nie gesehen das jemand einen Motor komplett neu wickelt und dabei von 110V auf 220V umstellt. 👍👍

It seems to me that buying a 220v motor would be more practical than rewinding an existing one. Too much unnecessary work.
