I love Newsies! I have listened to the soundtrack so much and watched the stage recording a lot too! As a disabled person the character of Crutchie always spoke to me and means a lot to me and would be my dream role if my local theatre ever did the show! (or any of the Newsies, I think though it is a very dance heavy show - there is a place for disabled people on stage. In real life a lot of the Newsies were disabled) I have so many ideas how the set could be created on stage! One idea I thought was for the stage to be surrounded by newspapers and the New York skyline to be like a painting done by the character Jack Kelly who is an artist, then other drawings and writing that are needed in the show like the headlines, the painted trees at the theatre, the drawing of Katherine and Crutchie's letter can be moved onto the stage by the cast when needed. I've recently been feeling very encouraged to be brave and try and audition for my local theatre. The show will be Shrek and I really hope I can be a part in it.
Could you please make a video about songs you can sing when you try out for Annie like you did with the legally blonde one? I audition soon and it would be super helpfull! Also I love your videos and they have helped me so much!😂💖
It’s okay if you don’t respond but I have a theater question. So my school did Seussical and I do these theater camps and we put on a production in one week. One of the camps is Seussical. We always put on this little sheet are experience and I don’t know if I should put that I have already done the show Seussical. I don’t want make it look like they don’t need to give me a good role because I already did it(I was a bird girl and I’m hoping to get jojo) but I want them to know I have experience for the show. What do you think I should do??
