Still works. Only thing I didn’t realize was you have to aim your remote at the sound bar while it’s off, hold mute and it’ll say “ID SET” that’s how you’ll know it worked

Thanks for the video, your solution did not work exactly for me. I have the Samsung PS-WE4500 which looks very similar. The only difference is the location of the mute button is just below the power button and the Mute button is labeled SAT MUTE. I held that button for 5 seconds and the sound bar display read “ ID Set”. I then turned on the bar and it connected to the sub. Sweet!. Thanks again for posting.

My solution - Continue holding until STANDBY turns odd and LINK( Blue LED) blinks quickly.
While the soundbar is turned off, press and hold MUTE on the remote control.
Continue holding until ID SET appears on the soundbar's display.
After that the unit should be connected.

I purchased a Samsung sound bar and later I purchased a Samsung subwoofer but I can’t get them to connect. So what I’m asking is does the model of the soundboard have to match the subwoofer? They look like they were made around the same time you

This works without remote. Just did mine. If u just turn off the soundbar using the button on it, do the ID set thing then turn it back on connects instantly. Didnt need remote.
