    Continue holding until STANDBY turns odd and LINK( Blue LED) blinks quickly.
    While the soundbar is turned off, press and hold MUTE on the remote control.
    Continue holding until ID SET appears on the soundbar's display.
    After that the unit should be connected.

      Mine won’t stay connected longer than 2 seconds, the solid blue quickly turned into the blue and the red flashing slowly
      I think my sub has had it

      Using the remote is the only way that I know of. At least they are cheap. I get asked this alot, I have put a Amazon link in description for remotes.

    Had a pretty bad day yesterday because my subwoofer refused to connect to the soundbar and since it’s in my top 3 favourite gadgets it really got to me
    Came across this video today because I decided not to give up
    The celebration alone made me forget to comment and recommend it to others
    So I’m back to show my appreciation

    Works PERFECTLY. Friend just gave me a good working HW-F450 (older) maybe 2014 when I bought a new TV. Of course no instructions, just the bar, sub & remote. I knew it worked.. till we unplugged it and I brought it home. Spent 2 days fiddling with it. Than found your video and it worked in 2 seconds. Apparently the instructions you applied work with many model Samsung sandbars with wireless subs. Thank so much!

    Thanks, dude, a hundred percent. Subwoofer goes out every once in a great while. I always forget the process to reboot. But I never stress about it because I have this video. If I could give a thousand likes I would.

    I watched several long drawn out videos just to have an unsuccessful turn out. I watched your less than 3 minutes video and got immediate successful results.     A million thanks! I have the exact same setup and a year ago I noticed that the subwoofer wasn't working and figured that was just it. After deciding to toss it, I thought I'm going to check RUclips just in case and here you are. It now works perfectly after following your directions!

    Great video! Thank you very much! Watched several other videos and what they forgot to mention is that the sound bar needs to be off and nobody talked about having to hold the mute button for five seconds! “ID Set” showed on my bar and problem solved! Thanks again!

    Mah nigga. I had so much problem connecting , followed samsung manual didnt help. It’s funny how samsung has so many products that it is so hard to get help for a specific product. Thank God you’re here for me brother. Worked and made my night

      I do not know of a way, I did add a link to a couple different model remotes in the description if needed, it's around $7.

    Hi all, I followed the video exactly as explained and still no luck . Blue light still blinking. I also sprayed the inserts with a can duster just in case it was dust. Any other ideas that I can do myself? Samsung support is not very helpful. Their solution is : send it for service. Which imo is not worth the repair cost. Any DIy ideas appreciated. Thanks!

    Thx so much! Like others, we lost our manual. This worked! The key steps are push the reset button, then to have the soundbar off, then press mute till the ID Set text comes on. 👍
