I know you haven't done Nightwish in a while, but in case you're wondering about the many requests for songs from the Wacken 2013 Open Air Music Festival, it's because this concert was recorded for DVD and one of the reasons why the sound quality is outstanding! In an interview with Floor, she explains that needless to say it was an important moment for the band, it almost seemed like the universe was aligned perfectly that evening because every note, every song, and every voice was just perfect. All the members did their part and they came together for what may.seem like their best performance to date. And despite the fact that on that particular evening Floor was not even a permanent member of the band yet, she may have put out her best vocal performance of her life. The DVD was released in Europe in November 2013 at which time the band announced their "new" singer. She was hoping for a "Christmas" surprise but the band thought it would be best to give fans the news with the release of the DVD. Hey, when the pieces fall into place, there's really nothing you can do about it except... go with it... and they did. 😊❤👍🤘🤘 I wish I was there to experience that. Hats off to this band, they deserve every bit of their success!!

Jukka is a phenomenal drummer, and as one of the original members of the band (along with Tuomas And Empuu) he will be sorely missed. But Kai Hahto has done an amazing job replacing him.

Jo Babs you should listen to more of their music. On the tv show Beste Zangers you can see her sing the songs of the people that are on the couch facing the stage. She's sang in 4 different languages the last two has been in English. The last 2 songs she did were soft yet still powerful. Floor is very versatile and she sings in the opera style and sometimes she even does some growling. Floor is amazing.

To me Nightwish is the best bad of our time. Of course as a Finn I am a bit biased, but that just means I already know them well from the beginning. They have one of the best composers and songwriters of today. Working with instrumentalists that are in the top of their game and now a vocalist that can match in range whatever he decides to compose. It is a match made in heaven and they really need to make it in the US now. They pull full stadiums in other parts of the world but play small club gigs in the US. That is ridiculous. But maybe it is like the other Finnish musical star Darude and his Sandstorm. Became big in the US pretty much 10 years after it already made it elsewhere in the World. The US is a little slow burning in what comes to foreign music it seems. :)

Wow, seems that Nightwish have really found themselves again. For me their music became a lot duller when Tarja Turunen left the band and I stopped listening to their newer songs. Floor Jansen seems to have brought it back to life, at least in this performance.

Wow, seems that Nightwish have really found themselves again. For me their music became a lot duller when Tarja Turunen left the band and I stopped listening to their newer songs. Floor Jansen seems to have brought it back to life, at least in this performance.
