I went to my first Wacken last year and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Not even just the music (over 200 bands performed), but the people, the food, and the infrastructure that place has is just insane. Massages, metal yoga, cooking lessons, mad max themed shows in the wasteland, video game tournaments, comedy, an underground beer pipeline, a full sized grocery store that they build just for the week, thousands of amazing vendors, and truly the greatest people you'll ever meet from all over the world. Greatest festival ever, I can't wait to go back.
I have trouble just going up stairs in heels - dancing and throwing my head around like that would have me on the floor (lol accidental pun) in seconds. But then Floor defies the limits of what the human voice is capable of so why should she bother with gravity?
Glad to see you guys exploring the heavier side of Nightwish. I hope that sometime soon you'll check out the song "Your's Is An Empty Hope" from the 2015 Wembley Arena show. If you listen really closely to the vocals you'll get a big surprise from Floor. By the way, it's pronounced "Vah-ken". In German the W sounds like V. It's a fantastic three-day festival, I hope I can actually go one day before all my favorite bands retire.
Then why is every german and german tv show saying Wacken and not Vahken? Choose = Wahl not pronounced Vahl.. Winter is not Vinter. Where do you guys get these ideas from?
@@themplar Which shows? Go to Google translate, or Forvo, or any other translation software. "W" is always pronounced "V". That's how I pronounced it during several drives around Germany, and nobody corrected me otherwise.

So you should check out ReVamp - Disdain (live). It's Floors old band. She was blonde and well you will just be shocked. Also I don't believe you guys have done Epica yet. They are another great Female fronted Symphonic Metal band. There's a live version of their song Sancta Terra with Floor as a guest also.
I like this. the others are (probably poorly paraphrased): "English is a language born of Norman lords trying to seduce Anglo Saxon barmaids into bed" and "English doesn’t borrow from other languages. English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over and goes through their pockets for loose grammar."
It's one of the heaviest and coolest songs of Nightwish. Floor has way more aggressive vocals. It also shows how MARCO IS UNDERRATED AS A SINGER IMO: he's great in the parts he sings solo; in harmony with Floor, Marco goes up in key with her, sustaining the note, adding the light raspy tone so characteristic of him.
Regarding Nightwish, here are some suggestions for you beside the incredible Wacken show, where each song is awesome and should be reacted to: -> „Weak Fantasy“ (Tampere): Kai the beastat the drums, Troy joins in, great duets with Floor and Marco, … -> "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" (Buenos Aires) will give you a metal and power blast: Maximum speed and Marco (the singing bass player) becomes Hannibal Lecter ;-) -> "Yours an Empty Hope" from Wembley (have a good look!! at the growls. You'll be surprised.) -> „Dead Boys Poem“ from Buenos Aires (so amazing and emotional) -> Elvenjig / Elvenpath (Buenos Aires): Awesome intro and it continues on that level -> "The greatest Show on Earth" (Tampere) is one of the two most epic songs. The title is not about the gig, but about the topic of the song: The evolution of mankind. -> "The Poet and the Pendulum“ (Wembley) is my personal absolute masterpiece of Nightwish. Be sure to know the background of this song ahead. Here is a short version: Tuomas (the keyboarder and composer) was in depression after the split from their first singer Tarja. He was in the position to either commit suicide in real real life or to write a song about it and die within that song. Luckily he choose the latter option. He is the poet, "killed" by the pendulum. And afterwards there is darkness, silence and just a fading heartbeat. It gives me a shiver every time. As this song is so emotional for him all the others have an eye on him. He even had his the vocals turned off in his in ears. Greetz from a German-Dutch concert photographer
PS: Floor is 6'1". Walking on heels well takes practice. Much more singing and banging the head off on a stage full of cables, equipment and whatever. But Floor has the physical ability and vocal technique to do it all on heels not missing a bit.

It's cool to see that you guys have finally gotten back to some Nightwish. They make such amazing music. I would also like to point out some bands that many people have reacted to that you haven't and I think you would like. Unleash the Archers - Amazing female vocalist power metal band. Best starting song would be Awakening (live studio session) but I would also recommend their newest video Faster than Light. Or any of their other songs. They are amazing. Disturbed - Nu metal/Heavy metal band. Sound of Silence is David Draiman's most powerful singing but Down with the Sickness (any version other than the official video), Inside the Fire, Perfect Insanity, and Another Way to Die are all kickass songs that are more emblematic of the band's sound. The Offspring - Punk/Pop-Punk band. Check out The Kid's Aren't Alright, Self-Esteem, and Pretty Fly (for a White Guy). For a longer song check out Pay the Man. Halestorm - Hard rock band. Lzzy Hale is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. Check out Miss the Misery, Mz. Hyde, Love Bites (So Do I), and Get Off. I would also like to reiterate my suggestion for reacting to the rock band EarlyRise, who nobody has reacted to. Check out Become Mad, Old Friend, Shell, or Wasteland.
Honestly the whole concert in Wacken 2013 is great. Floor is almost flawless, and the mixing is amazing. Even if you don't want to react to all of it I would suggest watching it all eventually. My personal favorites are "Song of Myself" and "Ghost River".

Yeah the English language, particularly in it's present state, I would describe as FUBAR. For example, take the word men. Now add "wo" to the beginning, which alters the pronunciation of the pre-existing vowel? Or why do we drive ON the parkway to park IN the driveway?
You should try Swedish. Word for word it's not rocket science but the grammar is ridiculous. There a comedy video on RUclips called "Simple Swedish" highlighting this. I speak 3 Languages (and very bad basic German), Swedish being my native toung and grammatically this is probably the on I'm least proficient in 🤣
Hey guys. I'm just putting it out there, but English does have rules -- but like any system with rules, some are meant to be bent. Others, are meant to be broken. (That's a Morpheus line to Neo in the first Matrix, lol.) But yes, the vast majority of people dont follow the rules of English today. And, dont forget this too, but American English is actually a conglomeration of words from many cultures and countries around the world -- a manifestation of America being a "melting pot" of cultures, races, and ethnicities. By the way, a "colloquialism" is actually a word that has an everyday, common meaning, but has a definition that means something _other_ than a common meaning in a particular subject or context. Take "driving" -- most people think that "driving" is what you do when you get behind the wheel. But under the law, according to legal dictionaries and the Supreme Court of the United States, you only do "driving" if you get paid for it. (See Black's Law Dictionary, as an example). And guys, y'all remind me of Wayne and Garth from Wayne's World: "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!" Lol
If I weren't from America, I wouldn't have a clue how to speak English. This language is exactly what happens when conquest, cultural appropriation, warfare, genocide and sheer laziness try to kick each other's ass in a kitchen, and end up making a stew together. I love my language, but I wouldn't wish it on anyone who grew up speaking a language with rules. Even the hard-and-fast rules of English are more like suggestions than anything else. American English especially reflects that our ancestors were thrown out of every decent country in Europe, then came over here and starting screwing up everything we found. Hey, in another language, "screwing up" would mean you were operating a screwdriver over your head. And I haven't even started on the colloquialisms. Wait, wasn't there a music reaction in here somewhere? Oh, right. I'm glad to see you're back in the Dream Emporium, marching with the Nightwish Army once again. I'm advising you stick with "VAH-ken" for your next few videos. (You know you want to do more Nightwish, don't even deny). My next suggestion is "Dark Chest Of Wonders", the show's opener - "Can you grab 82,000 people by the throat in a few seconds?" Nightwish: "Hold Emppu's beer""
Another band that played Wakan last year you should check out Bloodywook. Ari Ari or Machi Bhasad (Expect a Riot) So hoping concert are back next year. I have a niece that I take to a concert for her BDay. 2020 was going to be an all summer celebration with Ameranthe, ICP, and Eluviette. With more being added.
Heels.....try Lovebites When Destinies Align (ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html) and get ready to be blown out the door by the "Angry Bridesmaids wearing heels and playing power metal".
The higher the heel, the better your legs and hips look but the more difficult it is to keep balance and to move. The size of one's feet can make a difference since there's a different ratio of sole to heel which changes where the center of gravity is. I have size 9W feet, and I can move comfortably in most 4" no-platform shoes. I can still move in 5" no-platform heels, but things that challenge my balance -- like headbanging -- become more difficult. The surface is also really important. Lots of stage flooring is slippery as hell. Stilettos are harder to move in since the metal tends to slip over a lot of different types of surfaces. Language is constantly shifting and always changing. The fastest changes usually come with individual vocabulary. Slang words get introduced every generation. Meanings expand or contract or change altogether: A skyline used to refer to any horizon but now it specifically refers to horizons in a city with buildings; A Kleenex used to be a specific brand of tissue but now it's a generic term for tissue; Nice went from foolish to timid to fussy to careful to delightful, and now it means kind. The next are sound changes with vowels being the most prone to it. If you want to know why English spelling is so messed up, here's a good summary of The Great Vowel Shift from Middle English to Early Modern English: ruclips.net/video/VOOAb7erAmE/видео.html On a side note, we're undergoing vowel shifts all the time. There's one happening right now around the Great Lakes and the so-called Rust Belt (the Northern Cities Vowel Shift). Syntactic (or grammatical) changes can happen slowly or quickly depending on outside pressures. Old English was doing its slow thing for centuries until the Danes decided to settle in some parts of the island, and then suddenly there were a whole lot of grammatical changes that happened relatively quickly. You know how we have different pronouns for different grammatical functions? Like I for the subject, me for the object, and my for the possessive? There used to be different words like that for all nouns and not just pronouns. Because of that word order was freer. In English, you must have the subject first followed by the verb, and then maybe a direct object or indirect object. In Old English, you could rearrange the order of those functions and it might be a little poetic, but it would still be understandable (a bit like Yoda-speak). On a side note, AAVE aka Ebonics is not an area of expertise for me, but I like reading about it when I get the chance, because it is a dialect of English that often incorporates grammatical features that were quite possibly borrowed from West African languages, i.e. the indicative 'is' vs the habitual 'be' distinction. Syntax gets me hyperfocused, which is why I just went on about it for two long paragraphs. Sorry. My point was supposed to be that language is fluid and dynamic and always changing, but if the spelling/orthography doesn't change with it, then you get things like 'knight' and 'bathe' and 'roof.'
Try the band Apocalyptica the song Path with Sandra Nassic. The band Amorphis songs: Amongst the stars and Silver Bride. Also try the band PAIN - Injected Paradise, search for the lyrics of that song and fly away with it!
I suggest you guys check out Blind Guardian- Valhalla, The band is one of the OG power metal bands, and the song's a real crowd pleaser. Here's the live show of it: ruclips.net/video/CZ_VFJn2kJM/видео.html

You guys need Unleash The Archers and their song Awakening. Nuff said 🤘🇨🇦
You should react to some Buckethead. Soothsayer or Jordan are some of his best hits
Always loved The Ballad of Buckethead too because I love Primus :D
Here's a song of mine. Written right after my wife left me for a coke dealer. Day of 9/11/01. All me. No need to react. Just listen. Where do you go when you want to be God?
ruclips.net/video/fbRvcPgFlCE/видео.html
Not much to see but my lyrics. My music.
They have to react to "Ghost River of Wacken 2013", one of the best performances
React nightwish poet and pendulum live in Wembley!!! Is a masterpiece!!!!
Gojira Pray live from Red Rocks

"...English and bad English" -Corbin Dallas (played by Bruce Willis) in the Fifth Element.
We need more Nightwish!
glad to see you guys!! funny you mentioned Sabaton....Floor Jansen is married to their drummer...Hannes Van Dahl.......
"I just want concerts to come back...please, PLEASE!!!"
Quote of the decade, my man.
Do Nightwish - The Poet and the pendulum
You will not regret it!!!!!!!
CU
Tanja from Germany ;-)
Love you guys!
Honestly the whole concert in Wacken 2013 is great. Floor is almost flawless, and the mixing is amazing. Even if you don't want to react to all of it I would suggest watching it all eventually. My personal favorites are "Song of Myself" and "Ghost River".
AMARANTE _ Strong feat. NOORA LOUHIMO official video. Elize from Sweden. Noora from Finland.
Back to Nightwish! Thanks for your reaction, fun as usual! Yours is an empty hope live at Wembley is a real banger to react to, you should not miss that one.
If you want to check out some new music, please react to Dir en grey (metalband with 1 of Japans best metalsingers). The song Vinushka is a masterpiece ruclips.net/video/8W0h2yht6IA/видео.html
US scientists seems to have good music ear, LOL!
Alpenglow ( ruclips.net/video/FrJvKZNEh7g/видео.html ) Rockshelter - a prehistoric rockshelter discovered in Pennsylvania, USA and located just a few hundred meters from the Council Rocks archaeoastronomy (Stonehenge-type) site dating to at least 1825 BCE - 4000 years before present.
What's uuuup! You guys are chill as hell. Check out Frank Zappa - Dirty Love.
That song is funky as hell. The lyrics crack me up lol pimp ass 70s lyrics lmao
Also, check out Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere But Not Here (live)
Thanks for all the reactions, PEACE!!!!!
Looks like you guys haven't checked out Spiritbox yet? They a Canadian female-fronted metal band that mix creepy horror/true crime stuff into their songs and videos and Courtney's vocals/growls are top-tier. Their newest song 'Holy Roller' is super brutal but I'd actually suggest checking out 'Rule of Nines' to get a better idea about what they're about. /watch?v=K1Bzo6SdS3c Love your guy's reactions!
More Finnish metal bands with powerful female lead vocalist - Battle Beast - Black Ninja : ruclips.net/video/38zmdwd5K3E/видео.html
Floor gives you Floorgasms, Noora gives you Noorgasms...
Shout out from Finland o/
Guys, try Myrath - Believer. It's Tunisian metal!
(That's a Morpheus line to Neo in the first Matrix, lol.)
But yes, the vast majority of people dont follow the rules of English today.
My next suggestion is "Dark Chest Of Wonders", the show's opener -
"Can you grab 82,000 people by the throat in a few seconds?"
Nightwish: "Hold Emppu's beer""
I speak two languages
Good English and Bad English 😆
Like to see you react to
Emigrate - 1234 feat. Ben Kowalewicz
Well... Pretty much all Nightwish music is good Nightwish music.
So unless you watch them all you've missed some good Nightwish music.
Nightwish - The Islander, It's time they showed Marco some respect!
Hey Guys react to Wardruna - Lyfjaberg
Its the newest song from Einar Selvik
If you want to know why English spelling is so messed up, here's a good summary of The Great Vowel Shift from Middle English to Early Modern English: ruclips.net/video/VOOAb7erAmE/видео.html
On a side note, we're undergoing vowel shifts all the time.
I'm a massive Nightwish fan don't get me twisted. However, i highly recommend Skald check out O'Valhalla live.
Nightwish is playing October 5th new york 2021 I'm going!
I suggest you guys check out Blind Guardian- Valhalla, The band is one of the OG power metal bands, and the song's a real crowd pleaser. Here's the live show of it:
