The real reason behind Hasbro avoiding copyrighting Porsche is because Porsche doesn't want their brand on Hasbro's "war machines" due to it conflicting with Porsche's ideals. Hasbro has no problem getting licenses from other brands, it's just that certain companies don't want their brand on toys involved in a war.
And the reason Porsche doesn’t want that is because Porsche was commissioned by Moustache Man (take that, RUclips censorship!) during World War Two to make a lot of combat vehicles. They wanna make it look like they are pacifists now to disassociate themselves from that history.

Great review as always! And my theory is that the 86 figures were gonna be in the siege trilogy but they probably didn't have enough budget to add them so they decided to make the 1986 movie line with their siege and earthrise designs for them. Hence why hot rod and kup was first and not springer and arcee. And with jazz and scourge and not someone say wreakgar. Apparently Porsche has an issue about having their models involved in "war". So, that's why we didn't get him in Earthrise, but this studio series Jazz figure still can go great with my War For Cybertron collection
