    It’s so accurately and fantastically done, you forget at times this is a comedy skit. Sometimes you just want to strangle Clarke ( or wanted to should I say ) and ask him to answer the bloody question …… ⚛️☮️🌏

    Clarke and Dawe also did a great show satirizing preparation for the 2000 Sydney Olympics. There were lots of good clips of a segment about the 100m track but seems like they might have been purged from RUclips under copyright. 2 clips which get most of the joke in are: "The Games Excerpt"; and "Great comedy from the best in Australia John Clarke".

    Just had our first ever drought in SW Victoria, the worst autumn in history. Lost heaps of our livestock and trees. It’s bad in Australia now the weather extremes breaking record after record after record. Our gov is greenwashing in a big way, virtue signaling, doing what the woke say, but not backing real solutions like geothermal power, regenerative agriculture, local supply chains etc.

    The sea levels have been "rising" about 2-5 inches per year SINCE THE 70's... according to the "experts" (alarmists) so... WHY TF isn't the Sydney Opera House submerged yet?? Better yet, WHY TF is the waterline STILL THE SAME as it was in the 70's around the Opera House???
    WHY TF is Botany Airport not yet submerged (it was built 3 meters above sea level)?? WHY TF is "Pinch gut" still above water (and the waterline NOT changed)??

    • @Ken-er9cq
      @Ken-er9cq 4 месяца назад +2

      The sea level so far has risen by about 20 cm since the late 19th century, but half of that has been in the last 30 years. This isn’t a lot, but the bad news is that even if we stopped greenhouse gas emissions now it would keep increasing for centuries. Two reasons for this are that glaciers and ice sheets will keep melting, and the temperature of seas will keep increasing which will increase the volume.

    You missed the irony. The climate emergency. What consequences? Hotter in summer, colder in winter, wetter when it rains, drier when it doesn’t. Even sometimes all the leaves fall off lots of lots of the trees. Every year! Like a cycle. Been that way for a while now.

      There’s already severely changed permanent weather patterns caused by climate change and rising seas, much of the current crisis is knockon effects from those years so yes, it was urgent back then and urgent today.

    • @paulsandford3345
      @paulsandford3345 4 месяца назад

      @@kearingoodwin4856 , global warming is a hoax. The government has been changing the weather for years. Carbon dioxide is a gas that is natural in the atmosphere. You only have to go to the snowy mountain scheme, on their own website they spruik about cloud seeding with chemicals to make it rain about the mountains to generate more water for the dams, used to to generate hydro electricity! If carbon was causing climate change why does no government in the world go on a massive tree planting exercise, because we all know the trees take in carbon dioxide?

    We hear so much on Climate Change and it’s all the people’s fault, perhaps we all should look at the Underground Atomic Testing, which is still going on all over the place. Don’t you think that that is a bigger problem than the Plastic Bags. I think it’s well and truly helped the Volcanoes all over the world, the one near Naples has it’s eye on the prize and of course Yellowstone, but don’t mention anything about the Testing, it’s all our fault. 💕
