This is probably my most copied painting and I wish I didn't have to say this but PLEASE don't copy my artwork! If you want to use my videos to learn, that's great! but please be sure to apply what I'm showing to your own art instead of redrawing/painting mine. My artwork is very meaningful to me and it feels pretty crappy to see people copying it. And if you do copy it as an exercise to improve please don't post it to social media. My work is copyrighted and your post will probably be removed.
xraineyx13 while I do completely agree with you, I think you aren’t approaching this in the most appropriate way. Other people might be inspired to sketch your drawing and paint it in your technique. Claiming it as their own work is a huge no no as originally the idea was yours. Instead they could be encouraged to cite your work. But “copying” it might not be what they’re doing. They might just really enjoy the sketch and if they feel like they’ve nailed it, and they’re really proud of it, they may want to post it (but of course they should cite your work/ reference to you). Don’t discourage artists from “copying” your stuff as they could just be inspired by your beautiful work.
gosh some people never learn there is a copy right law for a reason. if you can't create you are not a artist but a colorist. artist create from begin to end the whole piece.
@@melissapacheco2616 there is a different in being inspired or just copy things. being inspired you see something that gives you your own idea out of it by what it will look different. but copy it to practice is kinda okay but they can't show it to other's. it's always better for developing art skills to just create self and make mistakes and learn from that. if they want to copy they have to ask permission of the artist. without permission they are simply violating the copy right law.
Wisteria Pennings Agreed that it is a very generic subject, there are such a lot of watercolour artists who do frontal faces with closed and open eyes using complimentary colours - I did one myself with watercolour/gouache in 2015 and currently doing another. There are hundreds upon hundreds on pinterest, many dated before this video.
Imitation is the highest form of flattery. As long as people are not claiming it as original work, take it for what it is....a complement. Your work is beautiful.
I would love to see your entire process (maybe with a voice over )... from the planning to the sketching to the final piece... that would be really awesome (just a suggestion... if you don't do it I'll still love you 😆) your art style is similar to what I want my style to be like... and just love watching you work ...it's calming. I watch your videos when I'm frustrated with my art for inspiration. So thank you for sharing a oars of you life with us 💕💖
thank you thats a great idea!! and i'm very honored that you watch my videos when you're frustrated with your own art, it makes me very happy knowing my videos are helpful in some way ❤️ I have a few videos in line to work on at the moment but I added a start to finish process video to my list and ill get it made as soon as I can! Thank you so much again!! ❤️❤️❤️
Waaaah this is so gorgeous! I really loved seeing it come together over a longer period of time as you worked on it. Those warm tones in her face are my FAVORITE :D This is such a gorgeous piece.
Watched the whole thing, this is absoloutley gorgeous, I kept thinking “mermaid” while watching near the end, the way you freestyled painting the strands of flowing hair that separated from the main hair form is so impressive, the collarbones and neck are my fave part, so so beautiful. Also the freckles and little mole and just the flecks of brown on the shoulders and on her make the whole thing so amazing. 100% my favourite painting video I’ve ever seen.
i have a daily dose of your channel for different reasons: 1. the music man, just, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 2. your style inspires me 3. you inspire me 4. as pleasant as it is to watch your videos, when i truly pay attention, i learn a lot more things i need to put attention to in my watercolor paintings thank you for existing, keep doing it as brightly and yellowy as you are doing it now, please
This is so so beautiful and is genuinely the first piece I have ever seen from anyone that really inspires my own art style, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me excited to paint again! And I promise I would never copy anyone's work unless for practice and I would never post that on social media, you are an amazing artist and deserve 110% ALL of the credit! Have an awesome day hun xx
This is beautiful. It was very helpful to see your process. I am a longtime watercolor er, but just at the very very beginning of my wc portrait journey.
This was so peaceful to watch. I really want to use watercolour for my portraits cause right now i use only graphite but i am scared to death and this really helped like now i know with what tones to start and how to build it up. I will for sure try them out soon
I'm totally late to discovering your channel and this video. Personally, watercolor is really hard for me to create skin tones and portraits. But wow. This must have taken skill, and talent. I adored watching this. Good luck and best wishes!!
Loved this video. Process videos are the best way to learn imo. Could you do a narration along with the process too, telling us what choices you made as you went along and why?
Wow. That is stunning. I need your talent lol! How you shade so well using bright, not usual skin tones, is beyond me. Normally when I try to paint with blue or purple, it looks like an alien ha! Love your work, subscribed immediately.
What is the difference between the colors blue purple and red? How would you know where to put down the color, let’s say, blue in the right place. Also I really love your art. I enjoy every video you make, sometimes rewatching them lmao☺️
wow!i can't say anything i don't know why but really i was happy while i was watching this ....it's so deep, beautiful, different and amazing at the same time.........*you are the best artist and this is the best video for me * hope you will be famous and successful
