Thanks for your appreciation, Chantelle!
So oo pretty and as always great tips and encouragement! Tfs
Thank you so much Kathy!
Hi Tammy. Definitely overworking layers is a big conquest for me to make!
I hear you on that Cassandra! Such a common thing we do.
Beautiful painting and tips ❤
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing! 💐
Of course, you are welcome!
Great tips! I struggle with leaving white space.
Yes, that is so hard! Leaving too much or too little is sometimes a bit subjective.
I find myself going to dark on the first layer. I used to paint more in acrylics, so I tend to want to go straight in with my final color instead of building up to the color I want. The transparent layers is what I love about watercolor, but there's such a learning curve.
It’s definitely challenging! I hope this helps: ruclips.net/user/shortsZei-CoNfUsc?si=wuZuM1qavl7uCHwI
Too many layers. Things get muddy. Then I lose my light.(highlights)
I get that Cathy! I’m usually fine if I stick to two layers and sometimes I can get away with three but sometimes three become a disaster!
Ditto. I did discover that using white waxed-crayon (wax resist?) on the paper before painting, helps to preserve most important highlights. Just need to know how much wax to apply and where you put it.
@@Bearwithme560 I’ve used that technique before but always forget about it lol. Thanks !
