I passed my driving test 5 months ago and my instructor taught me the 90 degree, but in the real world this way of parking is much better and more practical, quicker too.
Yh same I got taught the 90 degree method but now in real life situations you really need to be doing 45degree method, so I’m using this video to teach me
Thanks for posting these videos- I passed today first time and 2 minors with 8 hours driving lessons and private practice. I don’t think it would be possible without watching so thank you 😊
Quick update: I tried this in the office car park this morning using your reference point of the near side mirror in the middle of the next bay and it worked really well. 👍

This way is much easier then the other one i think. There more opportunities to correct it if your not positive properly. And parking spaces vary. Whereas this you can always check it properly in the middle before reversing all the way in! ☺️
Many many many Thanks for your video lessons, I’m so appreciate you hard work . Can’t believe but your video lessons help me to improve my skills and allow me to pass the driving test without taking any practical lessons with intructor. Hopefully to see a million subscribers in this channel, as this is the best channel for studies a driving practical maneuvers . Thank you so much for everything.
I use this method only when the traffic is busy. In a quiet traffic, I prefer to use the traditional (90 degree) method, because it gives me more time to do reverse maneuver which I enjoy. Thanks again for your video on the traditional method; I learn much, especially the reference points.
Hey man, i'm curious.. when you manoeuvre at a 45 degrees away from the bay, how much allowance do you have to give to prevent your car's bonnet from swinging towards the object in front of you when you reverse full lock shortly after? For example, the red van. From the video, the front view seems like it was so close and it might actually hit the object Infront of you when you reverse full lock to the left. Do you have any tips to help me overcome this fear of hitting cars infront when I reverse in full lock at a 45 degree method? Thank you so much and happy 2019!
My real life experience is, reversing into a bay with cars on at least one side is actually easier, because observing cars next to target slot is easier than having nothing to take reference from.
How people passed their test first time 😕 i have bloody failed 3 times im so dishearten i just feel like cry 😭 now booked again n plz needs lots of prayers i hope pass this time 🙏🏻
I do something like 60° parking, because then I don't need to occupy that much of the road. This means I also start with my car a bit further than what is shown in the video.
During right full lock how can i sure that my car is n't hitting the car infront?how far i can go?such as as you are turning a 45 degree angle it seems that the front of the car is hitting to the red car. Thanks in advance
I've got some good news for you, my friend! As long as you stay within the lines of the bay, you won't be getting any faults from the examiner. So, don't sweat it too much! Just remember to observe a lot and get it within the lines. Let me know when you pass your test so we can celebrate with a virtual fist bump.
I hate this "if you're not in the bay drive forward" the test centre that I did my test didn't have any bays in front so I was unable to drive forward and reverse back and I ended up failing my test at the beginning because of this. I'm looking for a video that teaches you how to reverse bay park in a one lay road that has no bays in front and it seems to be impossible to find.
@@worlddriving my instructor has been teaching me to drive forward and reverse back to fix it when I mess up. He didn’t put any effort into teaching me how to do it correctly first time and he knows the test centre didn’t have any bays in front. It’s clear he wanted me to fail from the start, I’m not using him anymore. I bought my own car recently so I’ll just practise myself. Some instructors are honestly dickhead and all they want is your money. I also realised that they teach the 90 degree method because it’s so much harder than the 45 degree method and pupils have a harder time learning it and a less change of passing. The 90 method isn’t practical no one does it in real life. I practised reversing into a bay in my own car last night, there were cars parked on both side so I was worried but I did the 45 degree method and parked first time with no problem. So fuck what these instructors teach it’s al bullshit, I’m doing what’s best for me from now on.
Hi question it would be greatly appreciated if you could answer. My instructor a month ago told me that there was no point signalling when moving off if there’s no cars behind etc. If even there’s cars coming she said it’s just better to wait for them to go then I can set off. She Said I should signal if a car was infront of me parked as well - in case they were going to move off and so on ?what are your thoughts on this ?
Bro driving is harder than it really looks on my mock test I nearly crashed into a bus, mounted 2 kerb's, nearly drove into a no entry, undertook 3 cars and a van and forgot to signal right on approach to a roundabout. However a week later (today) I passed with 12 minor faults.
if i try to park on the right side, i try to align my right side view mirror with the 2nd line of the spot i'm trying to park in when i turn the steering wheel all the way left to get a 45 degree angle. but this ref pt doesn't seem to work. i reverse way outside of the spot i want to get in. maybe i try aligning the middle of my front right passenger window in this case, with the 2nd line the spot i want to park in to get a 45 degree angle. By turning the steering wheel all the way to the left. Then when i'm at a 45 degree angle. I turn my steering wheel all the way to the right and reverse into the spot. let's see if this method works.
Every car has slightly different reference points and every drivers point of view may vary. Reference points are just a guide but you need to use your own judgement too.
@@storm9100 As World Driving said the examiner won't fail you for opening the door to check your position as long as the car is secure - parking brake on & gear is in neutral... possibly the person who failed didn't secure the car.

yes 90 degree angle its actually harder to judge than the easier 45 degree angle.

Yes I agree the 45 degree method is a lot easier than the 90 degree method

This is a great technique. I used to do 90 degrees, but I find it is hit and miss whereas the 45 degree technique is quite easy to use.
Thankyouxxx I've been taught the 90 ' method I struggle with this,I want to try this method :-) I might get this on my test XXX

is there 45 degree method for forward bay parking?
Visa versa if I turn the wheel right what side does the back of the car go
The back will turn go right :)
Will you be able to use this method of parking during your driving test or will they dock marks off for that?
Yes, this is a totally acceptable way of doing it on the driving test.
Can i dry streering ??
If I turn the steering wheel left what side does the car go
It goes left :)
Reverse is too hard for me Chris, please help
What is the point of reference for innova?

At what point should we start straightening the steering?
Once you're in the bay and feel that the car is straight then straighten the steering :)
Looks like a 90 degree to me??

I think it's best to avoid opening the door to check your parking on the test, as you can actually be failed for that
Hi! You're allowed to open your door on the test as long as the car is secure and it's safe 🙂

Muhammed Demir my instructor said one of his students has failed before for opening the door when they parked at the end of the test
