Did you see how aggressively that young boy pushed his father away because he didn’t want him to be in the photo. After watching the father’s reaction and the kid’s demeanor afterward, I could only conclude that the kid runs that household. Not the other way around. That kid acted so proud of himself after that. I’m a few years shy of being a senior citizen. When I was this kids age, you dare not act like that in public, much less at home. If you did, you knew what was coming. That kid is a spoiled, disrespectful brat. If they don’t turn his behavior around now, he will grow up with no boundaries or respect for authority.

When children behave like that its dreadful.I brought my 3 children up to be respectful of adults. My children are parents themselves now & their children are very well behaved.
When I took them out they knew how to be respectful to elders..

Neither does mine 😂! In fact as a joke, and it is just a joke, my daughter says 'Mom's watching her porn again!'😛 They like to tease me about watching the Guards ... it isn't meant to be hateful, they are just teasing me because I can watch for hours.
These people act like they have never seen a guard and his horse but dam I have never been to the uk but I know better not to intrude on a-guard and his mount they are working to protect their country get over yourselves and learn a lesson from them

Some people have never seen horses or guards. I think their ignorance keeps them from knowing to respect these are real animals that need to be given space. It doesn't excuse their behavior though.

The problem is that the horse is very patient and sweet natured, so they think they can behave as they like; it is NOT a petting zoo, nor an influencer's "get up personal and pose" op.

All this RUDE, DISGUSTING, IGNORANT behavior will continue until the GUARDS GET THEIR VOICES BACK!! Who knows ... the rude fools may even start trying to put their kids up on the horse with the guards, since they can do whatever they want and not get reprimanded for it. And for the guards that don't shout ... teach them to shout and to shout LOUDLY!! Because all of this disgusting behavior is unacceptable, especially from an adult fool. IT IS JUST SICKENING TO SEE!! What these tourists need to remember is that they are in the Guard's Country and NOT their own, so act respectful or LEAVE!!
That is absolutely brilliant what you said and so true, feel so sorry for the guards and horses, they look so miserable just want to take them all home make them a meal (well would but can't cook) but my heart does go out to them, really though I bet they would love to let the sword fall, John you are great doing the video and do love the way you stick up for the guards

I've come to the conclusion that some tourons think if they touch the cloak , the boots , the reins they're going to win the Lottery 😂😂😂. Lady Penelope in the pink coat , was Parker waiting for her in the Rolls Royce ? The lovely little girl waving to horse and Trooper , precious 🤗. Someone really ought to explain to some doing the two fingered gesture which way the palm should be facing , at least in this country 😶. Been to England and visited the Horse Guard. I'm great animal lover the day I visited horses like big Teddy Bear. Worth the visit.

That Life guard trooper is one of my favourites! Always tolerant and fair, to a point, with the tourists. There is a limit though to some tourists being down right disrespectful! What is it with the selfies? I'd rather not be in the picture and detract from the spectacle of both beautiful horse and trooper

Self Importance indeed. But at least she didn't take to long as is the norm. One of my favs is when the middle age ladies told the guard he was cute and to join them at the Ritz for drinks. I think the lady was stretching her back. I have to do that is why I know. Thank You for suffering through this weather .

That looked like 7 kids in 7 yrs or a couple of sets of twins. I love these re-runs. Double enjoyment! I read that the boxmen lift up off the horses to ease the kidneys when horsey has to tinkle. The boxman was very parient not to shout at the touchey-feely lady. Lovely video John.

The insolence, entitlement, and disrespect on display there is nausea inducing! *~~~* 43:25 - The guard said nothing to this ridiculously daft girl, as she was sprawled all over him and the horse, pawing at both of them, and grabbing the reins! But he immediately spoke to the next lady as she just barely touched him. Consistency is a must. Where there is no consistency, chaos ensues, just as we watched it happen here! *~~~* Watching all the wannabe models is so annoying! Do you really need a photo of every angle imaginable? You don't look any different no matter what angle you pose at! That old lady in the pink coat was so rude and thought way more of herself than she should!

John, to answer your question at about 6:59, the gesture the young lady is doing is the Korean finger symbol for a heart, as in love. So, she was 'sending love' to him. It's a very sweet gesture.
She wasn't poking at the guards eyes, she was giving a love sign.

Common sense, of which they are lacking, should tell them not to use the arches. If the regiment placed a sign covering all of the don'ts they might have to continue them on a second sign.
You’re right, there isn’t one. Plus they can’t put a chain across like they do on the chicksman side because the gatesman guard goes in and out, as do the staff working behind the shop. For someone who doesn’t watch these videos and is simply a one-time visitor, there is no obvious reason why they can’t shelter there. In fact, when I was a child there was no such prohibition. It’s the guards’ building and they can make any rules they want, but a simple sign would be a good idea. Common sense, in fact!

Honestly watching rude and ignorant tourists make a fool of themselves is like watching David Attenborough doco. "Observe as the tourists foolishly sacrifices his own hand to the Horse Guard as though it were Mouth of Truth. Note the butt-hurt and shocked pickachu face as he complains to the police, completely oblivious that it was his own fault."

It may be the American/New Mexico society I am a part of, but I keep asking myself why the authorities (Guards and Police) seem to treat tourists who don't follow the rules in a rather gentle fashion much of the time. I may be totally ignorant of the expectations for public behavior in the UK, but here is what I am talking about: I was an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Midwest America, which is very conservative (I'm not so much) and I had kids from 40 different countries, ages 11 to 14/15. Behavior of the types I seem to see a lot of in these videos was absolutely not tolerated in my classroom or in the hallway or library or lunchroom because my kids knew that there would be consequences if they transgressed. I loved them all dearly, but part of my job was to teach them how to behave in their new environment. Maybe more tourists need to be immediately told to leave? For example, harassing the Guards in the arches seems to happen often, but it is allowed to go on and on and on before there is an intervention. Example would be people who are all together in a large group and monopolize the photo taking access for other families or make fun of the Guards and are allowed to do it for longer than other visitors are comfortable with. Likewise, adolescent groups from outside of the UK need to have things explained to them by their sponsors and if behavior deteriorates, it's bye-bye right now.
Why do some guards yell at rude people and some guards let everything go and never say a thing - like the rude woman touching the guards clothing and boot?
I remember the woman pushing the kid as well, wonder what she would have done if its father retaliated
I notice the guard said nothing to the pretty woman who touched his cloak and boots! Maybe the more beautiful you are gives you the right to get away with things.

I still cannot understand why people are allowed to be so close to the horses. Someone is going to be
seriously injured - people are not horse savvy and take children too close. Many people are just rude and
overstep their bounds by touching the guards. Some guards yell and others just sit and say nothing. There
should be stricter rules all around before something serious happens.
