Good day to you, John; and all who join us here. As I said yesterday, your insight into where to be best positioned has alway been quite good. In looking at the lady @ 14:16, feeding the horse, I‘m surprised that she was allowed to do that. Not everyone has good motives and they could be feeding the horse some nasty stuff.
Respect has been lost somewhere as there was a time when we respected our elders, parent ,teachers ,police and our military. And here we are ..perhaps one day it may come back.
Once again the lady Trooper demonstrates what a superb horsewoman she is . Always calm and confident , which reassures her horse there is nothing to worry about . She's a great role model for any young women , and men who would like to join HCav . You did well John standing behind the bollards with that crush getting pushed and elbowed , I'd be away ! What will Sunday and Monday bring ? I dread to think !! Tell them the bread and cheese is now handed out in Trafalgar Square , Horse Guards has run out 😂😂😂
Happy Easter, John. I saw a sign once, when I was getting bloodwork done. The sign said, "No matter our faith, no matter the colour of our skin, we all have one thing in common...WE ALL BLEED RED!!!" Your friend, whose home, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦
Hi John. When joint the army they ask you if you want to join the Guards, Infantry etc. You can ask about doing royal duties etc and if they have vacancies in that area then they will normally put you in the according regiment . There are occasions however when they cannot place you where you want to go so it’s always good to have a backup choice. I joined as a butcher! Unfortunately the MOD decided to make the trade obsolete so I had the choice of leave or do something else. I decided to join The Kings Troop!! Great choice! Loved it. Graham
And if they charged, you don’t think people would become more entitled.it would devalue these soldiers and the public would have less respect for them. This isn’t Disney land.
Would love to chat with that amazing lady horse guard. She is so confident and calm. It would be wonderful to see a video of the training that goes into these magnificent horses that stand so quietly and tolerate so much from idiot tourists. Have a Happy Easter John.
If those crowds get much bigger John, something will have to be done. You made a very valid point about the number of people at the front. If the lady trooper had not been able to keep that upset horse inside the box, those people had nowhere to go but into the road. That was a really dangerous moment. Well done to that lady trooper. I hope no one, especially a child, gets hurt before something is done to restrict the numbers. It's an accident waiting to happen 😱
I don’t understand how people don’t get that these are soldiers. This in a way is no different than the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier here in the US. They are soldiers performing a ceremonial duty.
The difference is that in Arlington the guarded US unknown soldier’s tomb is right there in your face and clearly related to the military. Here in the UK the relationship is not as obvious. I suspect most Londoners don’t realize Horseguards is a military barracks. The troopers are traditionally guarding the King, but he could be at the other end of the country. Even the palaces are some distance away. It doesn’t matter anyway. There’s no excuse for discourtesy towards anyone doing their job, whether they’re soldiers or actors.
Only the ignorant would think they are not real soliders. I doubt there would be anyone in Britain who'd think they aren't real. Mainly Americans who think they are actors after reading their comments..thinking its like Disneyland. Not all though. One woman thought the police were only actors too, "because no one would wear a hat like that".(the custoniam helmet) that bobbies wear on foot patrol. @Bandomeme

Good evening John and congrats for another successful day filming at Horse Guards, in spite of the huge crowd! Lady trooper did a wonderful job, just like i thought she would. Also, the trooper that served as boxman on the right, "stand clear of the yard!"😀, on Youngman, is the one who said "My horse, my rules" in the famous short clip a while ago on another channel😀😀 I nicknamed him "The Spaniard" 3 months ago, when i first saw him at Horse Guards beginning of January (he could very well be British all the way, but somehow my brain thought he had some Spanish facial features when i first saw him😀). I noticed he always checks the bits and the reins, the tacks, when he is on the horse. And when the horse finished with the "polka", then he started doing the "waltz", going outside of the box, the trooper reigning him inside, then again outside of the box, then he brought him back inside, for several times, until the shift was over. He masterfully controlled him for an entire hour, which was unimaginable. Luckily there weren't many people there. He's top-notch! He's very good friends with a trooper you, John, like very much, the one who rode Monty at the Elizabeth Cup, the tall serious-face trooper.😀 I nicknamed the trooper "Sour face" (sorry! i have all sorts of nicknames like that 😅) He was helping him with preparing Monty for the competition. The trooper who served as chitsman today is "Othello", because the first time i saw him at Horse Guards he was on a horse called Yago😅 Hope you have a great evening! P.S.: Very interesting about what the Israeli government wants to do regarding the ultra-Orthodox groups to force them into military conscription. That would be a first in almost 80 years, since the official existence of state of Israel. I don't understand what might have caused such a change, but i can suspect the fact that the ultra-Orthodox always being against all the policies of the Israeli government, whose authority they don't recognise for various political and religious reasons, might have played a part.

@@maryholder3795 well, in the Bible, Joshua went to war. Others did too. David. If they fought the enemy, so can the men now. There's a difference between murder and killing. Hi John, I'm Geoff from Australia and I love your videos. I have been watching for months on a daily basis, I find something calming about watching the Horses, and the naughty peasants are mildly entertaining but it does annoy me how disrespectful some of them can be! My family history is of a Military background in Australia and England. Unfortunately I can not travel to London to see the Horse Guard as I'm confined to a wheelchair and can not travel so this is as close to being there. Keep up the awesome work you do. Cheers!
Thank you as always John I love seeing you videos your so dedicated to Our troopers and their amazing trooper horses! do you know why the horse choppens their bit,and also when they nay?
Horses chew their bits for a lot of reasons but usually it’s just for something to do, if they’re a bit bored like a teen with chewing gum. They can also do it to self soothe, a little like a baby with a dummy, if they’re feeling a bit uncomfortable. Neighing is calling out to other horses, either the rest of his herd back in the stables, or in this case, quite often to the passing police mounts. Horses have good hearing, and they can hear what’s going on in the stables.
Just think John, you could be relaxing in the sun sitting outside a pub with a pint and you're putting up with this! I know where I would rather be. Happy Easter

We're not suppose to murder anyone. But war is different. Unfortunately, man can't get along & there's always somebody wanting to be top dog or take somebody else's oil or whatever. In war, you have to kill or be killed. Different than murdering someone. My opinion anyway. I think that's what God meant. I could be wrong.
I wish I was there. It has been pouring rain and flooding in South California for almost three years. We have had very few sunny days in that time. It's the complete opposite when I moved here 30 years ago. I'm relocating to the East Coast.
Good afternoon John. Looks beautiful there today.😎 Unfortunately, Mother Nature decided to poop out some more white stuff here, so it's another day of winter attire for me. Cheers!❤ 🇨🇦
John my niece joined the army and said she wanted to go in the Tank Regiment so that is where she is, I think if you ask to join the Cavalry you an be assigned to either the Life Guards or the Blues and Royals as
🐣🐰🐣 Happy Easter 🐣🐰🐣 to you John. Hope you got plenty of easter eggs. 🐇🐤. Thanks for the Easter fiming.
Cheers!
Thank you for that info John I often wondered why this groups disrespected our guards now I know. 👍👍
Happy Easter John.
Die Reiterin war fantastisch, sie hat ihr Pferd im Griff 👍👏👏👏❤❤❤ ,Sie konzentriert sich nur auf ihr Pferd 👍👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤
Good afternoon + a Happy Easter to you, John!✝️ 👋🇨🇦
Good day John hope your good. Love your videos & commentary. The lady guard done well again.
Have a happy Easter
Horse- Infinity is just a talker. Myl horses would whinny every time the screen door swung shut.
The tourists need to be told to take their picture then leave its not fair on the horses to have too many people touching now the weather is changing
Thanks for posting! Happy Easter to everyone!
Wishing you a very Happy Easter John 🙏
