Hi John. No signs?? first day with out Peter Ellis and the place is going down hill 😂😂 Come back Peter all is forgiven. Its amazing what a few kind words can do to make people happy, well done John.
Hi John, great video as always, enjoyed your encounter with the three Dutch girls, good chat. My wife is half Dutch and has family in Holland, which I have visited many times. The Dutch people are warm, respectful, friendly and really like us Brits, mainly due to World War Two. Once when visiting our soldier's cemetery in Arnhem an old Dutchman told me that they would never forget that another nation came and risked their lives to free them from the German occupation. To this day Dutch school children are taught the history and sacrifice for their freedom, to their credit they also maintain and keep our soldiers graves tidy throughout the year. Regards Barry.
So glad there was a part 2 to say goodbye to our favorite trooper, sigh! John, you make my day also😊 so no competition. Love these videos so and no body does it better, I think that a song lyric. Anyway have a good day.

@LondonCityWalks Hello John 😊 I remember some time ago hearing that whilst mints are an OK treat for horses, carrots and apples are not because they get caught on the bit and the horse can choke. That is how I understood the reasoning, but I stand to be corrected on that. Maybe an equestrian can explain the matter better than I can 🤗
@@paulinemegson8519 Thank you for your reply 😊. At least the horse would be OK, but the Guard on the horse would be in big trouble not only with the poor guy having to clean the bit, but probably with the Corporal of Horse too. The mare you first mentioned has a very similar facial pattern as Ormonde. Maybe they're related. Sorry, I'm obsessed with the chief nipper 😊 Also I'm tired and bored of calling out this groups selfish disrespectful behaviour.
I noticed, and liked the way, that people paid respect to the guard standing at the end of the tunnel. They walked threw the entrance of the far side, and not beside him.
The reason being, is one time someone did give the horse on duty something and within minutes, the horse was very unsteady on its legs and almost unseated the trooper. So I can understand that not feeding the horses anything after that incident. Because, soon after that, that horse was removed, by horse box, back to Hyde Park to see be attended to by the veterinarian. It was that serious. John managed to capture them loading the horse into the trailer, float, back to Hyde Park, and I noticed it was still unsteady on its legs and had very dull eyes. So, again, I hope they keep this rule in effect. I hope this answered your question as to why they didn't allow the person to feed them the baby carrot. Best Regards, from a Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦
On one YT video (can't remember which), I did see a man ask the Trooper if it was OK to give the horse a Polo Mint.......and the Trooper nodded. But I get why they err on the side of caution.😊
Wishing Trooper Ellis a happy life! 🎉😊 I've seen the trooper who said no to touching the horse on both, Sunday and Monday, and he kept super close watch of the horses and kept reassuring them when they got a bit spooked or when there were barely any people. It was super touching to see that, especially so close. That's why i didn't get close to touch the horse(and I was a bit afraid too because they are huge), and I can't stop thinking about it. 🥲

Have you mentioned why there haven’t been the signs put in place by the horses lately?I might have missed one of your videos that talked about it. Thank you in advance for your or anyone’s answer.
If you are responsible for clean tack, it is never a good idea to feed or allow anyone else to feed a horse wearing a bridal. Getting all the muck off the bit is a very unpleasant business. I speak from experience. (The bit is the metal part that goes inside the horse’s mouth.)
John, I appreciate you and your followers tolerating and answering my many questions. And now for one more . . . What is the purpose of the Guards turning their heads left or right, then back to facing forward when going inside from their posts at Horse Guard?
@@sheilamorrell6329 The boxman carries his/her sword ( brings it forward from the shoulder ) if they need any assistance from the gatesman , the nod is " all ok " .
I understand the nods between each other out front. That was easy 🙂 But I’m curious about the command to turn their head left or right and the command to face forward again while returning to the stables from the yard. I’ve noticed this both for Guardsmen on foot and horse. I thought maybe they were acknowledging a flag or something. I see it most with the 4:00pm inspection. I know they are not “dressing right or left” to straighten a row.

Morning from Australia just started instagram following you.stunning guards and horses
I love your videos 💕. Thank you from USA
Wishing Trooper Ellis a happy life! 🎉😊
I've seen the trooper who said no to touching the horse on both, Sunday and Monday, and he kept super close watch of the horses and kept reassuring them when they got a bit spooked or when there were barely any people. It was super touching to see that, especially so close.
That's why i didn't get close to touch the horse(and I was a bit afraid too because they are huge), and I can't stop thinking about it. 🥲
Why, oh why do the Israelis always monopolize the troopers??
Vulcan is absolutely stunning ! Wow ❤❤
18:38 very goood... Maybe Red Devil 😎 (Marvel Comics) was undercover... 😒
Thanks
Thank you as ever for being so kind to me Charlie! ❤

Never change you bring so much entertainment to so many people.
Thank you 🤗
Rude someone needs to tell them to move along. They’ve worn out their welcome at the arches
Thanks!
Much appreciated, thank you! ❤️
Just before I view😊, thank you for another video
Not Aaron Taylor-Johnson but a few minutes earlier when the guard was telling the woman she couldn’t pet the horse, Dominic West walk across in between you and the horse
Aaron Taylor-Johnson = new James Bond 😊
Hahahahaaaaa. Lots going on today 😂😂
I know that I am old-fashioned, but for some reason, I really miss the bells on the British emergency vehicles. Having driven an ambulance in the States before arriving in the UK with the USAF and of course, using a siren there, the bells were an interesting change. I suppose that I just gave away my age but, oh well.
Sorry John it’s 00:17 of 23rd March I haven’t stopped all day getting house cleaned for my cousins arrival so only getting caught up on your videos now which I look forward to xxxx
The shouts must be hundreds of years old!
You would think, and especially with school groups and tours, that it would be common knowledge that these are members of the military!
Nice 🐎 horses❤
Sad to see anyone in a wheelchair but especially such a young and pretty girl.😢
It’s going to be one hell of a summer!!woo hoo!😎🌻😎🌻
Have you mentioned why there haven’t been the signs put in place by the horses lately?I might have missed one of your videos that talked about it. Thank you in advance for your or anyone’s answer.
The sign on the right is up the other one is broken , how it happened we don't know !
And(to once again paraphrase the bard) therein, I suspect, hangs a tale……
I still enjoying watching your videos mo later. Thanks john
38:17 idiots strike back... So sad
Morning everyone ❤
Ear covers are to prevent frost bite in cold temps. Also on that white/gray horse to prevent sunburn. 😊
While the sign is repaired, change to "DON'T TOUCH THE HORSE".
If you are responsible for clean tack, it is never a good idea to feed or allow anyone else to feed a horse wearing a bridal. Getting all the muck off the bit is a very unpleasant business. I speak from experience. (The bit is the metal part that goes inside the horse’s mouth.)
Just to let you know John... I tried several times to like this film for you and it wouldn't let me
John, I appreciate you and your followers tolerating and answering my many questions.
And now for one more . . . What is the purpose of the Guards turning their heads left or right, then back to facing forward when going inside from their posts at Horse Guard?
They do this to acknowledge each boxman, if the boxman needs help they nod their head back and he goes over to check.
They’re being commanded to keep eyes on the officer.
@@paulinemegson8519 thank you 🙂
