I do the same with the plastics it just makes it look a lot nicer and the fact you’ve been in there and done some 😎👌
Nice touch cleaning those covers 👍
Thanks for this quality tutorial!
once again great video but only way you would do that is in a garage love your experience
Don't need to slacken the cam or fuel pump even though the manual says to. Can just leave that top roller off, loop the belt round and slide over the water pump then push the belt down and re-fit the roller 👍
The reason you do it like this is to get the right tension on the belt... I'll stick to slacking the pulleys off
@@bazmeredith we all have our own methods! Great videos though pal!
Have you ever had to replace the coolant reservoirs on these VW's, because the silicone bag splits?
Whats the purpose/benefit of locking the pulley on the fuel pump? Does it help with belt tension? Or just cause the manual tells you to?
Hi can you recommend a set for special tools ? Because i cant find anything specific for the dfga
how often the timing belt is replaced??
How long does it take to carry out this job?
Nice work pal. You work mates must give you a good ribbing making vids at work supridee they arent carrying on in the background?
Hey Baz , i thought that car uses g13 coolant which is violet colour ??
Nope red came out, you'll see it at the beginning
@@bazmeredith think it had the wrong coolant in the first place . It says on the header tank g13
@@myleswaller it's been serviced by VW up until now,
How many kilometers did the car have when the distribution was changed?
on the miniature it said 80k miles, or 140 thousand kilometers
Nothing changed since the 1.9PD - Crazy
