I am a professional mermaid. My job is literally to make people (specifically kids) happy. I had a video go viral on Instagram recently of me during a show. You hear kids and a dad going "wooooow!" And "I knew they were real!" And wow. The amount of hate directed towards me and that random father was unbelievable... like, not entirely, since I know how hateful the internet is and do come to expect that, but like still unbelievable that THAT specific (and very innocent) video and that poor father got so much hate for no reason. Ugh. People.
Thank you for spending the time on haters and trolls! I was really hurt at first but now am getting "thicker skin" and just moving forward with consistency and value!!!!

My reach/following has been growing a lot recently, which I'm thankful for, but I've been getting so many really mean comments. My niche is veganism so it's a sensitive topic for some people as it is. I'm looking for ways to cope with the insults without wanting to crawl into a hole.

I love your content but had to unsubscribe at some point as I was finding it anxiety inducing (entirely my fault and nothing to do with your content in itself). The reason was that consistency was not possible for me at the time so I thought there was no point listening to the other tactics and can see that I was right 😅 I am back now because I am able to be more consistent - but consistent for me means posting once a week most weeks, rarely twice and I am not sure this is enough 😅. I do engage every day on Instagram but just started tik tok as the ig algorithm is just a mess 😅 I hope to be able to get somewhe this time but at the same time just trying to enjoy the process too! I really dont want to feel anxious about it all again so will try my best!

Interesting video😊 I think content creators talks way too little about the dark side of this, I dont know why everyone is avoiding it. They need to talk about stalkers, parasocial relationship with fans etc, is important but everyone just avoiding it
As someone who is also trying to grow online, I appreciate this! I’ve already had a troll when I wasn’t trying to grow lol. But I definitely believe that the opportunities outweigh the cons.
