STOP SCROLLING doesn't neccessarily make me stop. They've used that first few seconds to say that when they could have gotten to the point already. I keep scrolling unless there's another reason to make me stay...Yeah...kinda annoying now because everyone is saying it and i recognize it so i just click off in many cases
Yeah, “stop scrolling” makes me want to keep scrolling lol. I heard you can pick your thumbnail for RUclips shorts through the computer (desktop version/ not mobile).. I haven’t tried it but perhaps it works. Idk 🤷♀️
RUclips shorts is great for gaining subs, but I find they don’t convert to long form content. I’ve seen creators with millions of views on shorts then less than 2K on their longer content.
They don't usually give a copyright strike just either a content sharing or blocked in some countries. Copyright strike IS big deal. 3 of them can get your channel taken down!

You can pick any frame of your Shorts as a thumbnail on mobile device, at least on Android - pretty much the same way as you would for Reels. Otherwise all my makeup transformation videos would have had terribly boring thumbnails... 😄 If you aren't willing to transfer the video from computer to phone each time, you can just use an Android emulator! ;)
My shorts do ok but not amazing. I need to start changing some things. I usually add links in the description but like you said, not many people actually click through there. Should I also be adding links in the comments? I’m a food blogger so I usually link to the full recipes on my website.

I've watched a lot of videos today and this one is by far the most valuable, as I am about to upload my short related to my long form video, you just took all of the stress out of "how" I am going to transition the audience to my long form video And is it better for me to upload shorts via desktop or mobile. When I upload shorts to the desktop app, even though they are vertical and under a minute, it doesn't become a short but a regular video. What I have been doing is uploading from the app, keeping it private and then finishing it in the desktop. I would love tips on how not to double up here.
