- In this episode, Debbie and I go on a thrift store shopping adventure for finds to resell. We started out going to order wholesale cement pieces for my store but somehow ended up at several thrift stores in the area! We had a lot fun and found some great things for Fall! If you want to come along...then let's hop in Debbie's van and hit it!

Prayers for your sweet mom. I have lupus, Sjogrens, fibromyalgia and my mom has Rheumatoid arthritis and Sjogrens as well. If your mom is prescribed Plaquenil, I hope it helps her as much as it did my mom. I can relate to the fatigue. I can handle the pain but the fatigue is so debilitating. Know that your mom is in our thoughts and prayers. Tell your mom to go on the anti-inflammatory diet. I promise she will benefit from it. I love Flea Market Rescue! Just an idea- that set of three black trimmed mirrors taped together…those would be pretty as a centerpiece for the holidays. Lay them flat on a table with candles and fresh pine
I feel for your mom, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 3 years ago which have some similar symptoms more days than not I can’t even get out of bed. So my thoughts and prayers go out to her. But you hit the mother load for fall and Halloween decor. I wish my thrift stores in Columbus Ohio had as much as yours do.

I'm a new subscriber and was watching this episode with headphones on. My hubby came up behind me right after you said, "Debbie, that's you all the way." He couldn't hear what you said and he said to me "that's you all the way." (My name is Debbie too!) It was hilarious!
Worked with a woman who found out she had lupus and once she had her medications and followed the right diet was very active and fine again and that was a good 30 years ago! I’m sure they have even better things now! Keeping your mom in my prayers!
Debbie are you sure you can’t squeeze that sewing machine into your home? It’s gorgeous!! Man what I would give!! Sadly I’m in Maine and can’t make it to your shop😢 Someone will be very blessed to have that! I hope it’s someone who will be using it and enjoying it!!

I’m completely amazed at what you find at your thrift shops in your area. Around here shelves are quite empty, and there are rarely anything very good. If you do find something, even a picture frame the prices are crazy high. And forget art work. My heavens the prices are extremely high, even on small pictures with nothing at all spectacular in them. Love watching your videos. Will pray your mom gets to feeling better. Several of my friends, and my sister all have lupus. It’s the pits because you might feel great this morning and horrible by noon. Many simply don’t understand it which can add stress but hopefully her meds will soon kick in and she’ll start feeling better.

I have FND (functional neurologic disorder) and I can’t do what I used to… I have constant tremors and on “good days” I can use a cane to get around. I used to love going to thrift stores. Your videos give me so much inspiration! 🫶

Well, I feel that it's a win win! By buying stuff that was donated...it helps the Salvation Armys and Goodwill with their mission of helping others in need and at the same time....I'm able to do what I love! I love to shop...it's like treasure hunting! It's so much fun! You just never know what you can find and you can make a pretty good living off of it, too...if you know what to buy! I hope my video help people know what's a good buy and what is not, so that they too can do this, as well! Thanks for watching and for the compliment! XOXO

Love all the great finds! Prayers for your Mom. I was diagnosed 25+ years ago with Lupus. It’s been a roller coaster ride. Best advice from my journey is - listen to your body & eliminate stress.

My mom sold that exact treadle machine that Debbie bought, for $5.00. Broke my heart.

I know your mom will be back out shopping soon. I got to go to my first thrift shop yesterday. I had a great time. I talked with one of my nurses when I was in the hospital. She had seen your show when I was there and she said she watches your videos all the time now and has gotten some of her friends watching you now. That makes me happy for you. Get well soon to your mom. I watch all of you videos and I don’t think there is anyone that I didn’t love. I used to do crafts and set up booths at fairs, but I had a stroke 3 years ago so I had to give it up. Would love to come to your shop one day. I live in Western Kentucky. I hadn't thought about a bundle cake for about 50 years. A fond memory of my mom. I had a bundle pan for making monkey bread. They don't make the mixes anymore? None at my store😢 But looked up my favorite recipe chocolate macaroon bundle cake. Yum just as amazing as I remember. Prayers for your mom ❤ oh wait just noticed no tray😢

My aunt had a old petal singer sewing machine that my great grandmother owned. I actually sewed a top on it when I was in high school home economics class. So much easier to use than the fancy ones now days.
Praying for your Mom. I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2017. I completely understand how your Mom feels. After being on medication and lots of prayers I am now what they call in remission, not flaring and doing well so I pray GOD will bless your Mom the same. The fatigue is very real and awful. There is not a cure but as I said she can be much better.

I own the exact Singer sewing machine that y’all are giving away. It was my grandmother’s and she sewed all my mom’s and aunt’s clothing when they were little. My Dad had it refinished just to freshen it up and mine still works too! Absolutely a wonderful piece!! I hope you got the pumpkin at the end with the squished up face and stem on front. He was so ugly he was cute!! Hope your mom gets better since the diagnosis and can get back soon. She has been missed for sure!

I'm sorry too, but at least we know what it is now!!! Without a diagnosis...we had no idea what was going on with her! One day she was up running around and the next day she was on the couch....not able to do anything! So, we were just ecstatic to find out something...anything...so, this could be treated!!!
