The amazing thing about Jeff is that he is able to hit these high notes so quietly. Belting a note can be done by anyone but to nearly whisper it with the same energy is incredible…
It's actually the opposite. It's much easier to hit high notes using falsetto as opposed to full voice. Jeff had an amazing and highly controlled falsetto. Maybe the best falsetto in the entire history of rock.
@@termsofusepolice That's not what grey was saying. He's hitting notes, in a fuller voice, that isn't falsetto, probably some type of light mix, without needing the raise his volume. He did have a great falsetto, but grey was not referring to his falsetto.
@@scientisto7803 i think that it's also because he had a Natural lighter voice than most males, that made It a bit easier probably, anyway Jeff worked hard to develop a great control, no doubt.
He’s the James Dean of rock music. However he’s more than just rock music, he meanders through sounds like a river running to the sea. He touches different landscapes on the way. He’s a free spirit that can never be fully pinned down.
I'm heartbroken all over again watching this. I'll never get over this loss. He was the most inspirational musician to me ever, and I was just falling in love with his talent when he died. His singing voice still lives in mine, he was such a huge influence on me.
I think the most unique part about this. Is all the emotion that he doesn't know what to do with at the end of the song. You can tell he's ready for next song. How amazing
For those who like to sing with him ❤️ This is our last goodbye I hate to feel the love between us die But it's over Just hear this and then I'll go You gave me more to live for More than you'll ever know This is our last embrace Must I dream and always see your face? Why can't we overcome this wall? Baby, maybe its just because you didn't know you at all Kiss me, please kiss me But kiss me out of desire, babe, not consolation Oh, you know it makes me so angry 'Cause I know that in time, I'll only make you cry This is our last goodbye Did you say, "No, this can't happen to me" Did you rush to the phone to call Was there a voice unkind in the back of your mind Saying maybe you didn't know him at all You didn't know him at all, oh oh, ya didn't know Ooo didn't know Well, the bells out in the church tower chime Burning clues into this heart of mine Thinking so hard on her soft eyes And the memories, offer signs that it's over Over
Jeff's songs are at another level. Have u heard anyone try to sing his songs in any audition competition, nip zero. Why?? How can any one try. Serious no one even does covers of his songs. Jeff u r the King.
Still missed and loved after all these years, Jeff's music is timeless. There will never be an equal as far as I'm concerned, but there's something really special about Lianne La Havas that makes her a successor with similar purity for me. 'Last Goodbye' makes my heart ache more than any other of Jeff's songs, it's truly beautiful.
I was 1995 in France 🇫🇷🗼adored a boy in my age I was so in love and listen to the music of Jeff Buckley he has such a unique emotional voice. I will never forget to listen to his Album. He died too early was a talented singer 🖤🤍🖤🤍Rest in peace
I remember exactly where I was when I heard. I was driving down to orange county on the 405 and I was just hitting the curve by LAX when they announced that he was gone
I lived this at the time, took an offer to leave the country and leave a special mate. Thought it through and bailed out. Twenty years later still coming back to this song.
I was Lucky to share a Wave with this Guy & never thought he would Leave us by Drowning. JB Your Legend & Respect the Time in the Surf Bro. Peace & Wellbeing Bro :)
There's a few interviews with him where he would speak his mind and view of the world... check them out because trust me, you wouldn't want to miss those. It's not just his music that was brilliant.
At first I thought he said “ was there a voice occurring “ and not “ was there a voice unkind “ on the album version until I watched him sing this song live
Alot of people thought that Jeff just do falsetto to hit the high note, but trust me falsetto is happen inside our chest but his technique is a lot more happen inside his lower jaw technique and a little falsetto attempt, I am able to do falsetto but not the lower jaw technique as Buckley mastering at

Filmed at a Glamour Shots! Love Jeff and got to see him live once before his passing. Surreal concert.

I have used that phrase to describe guitar great Tommy Bolin. Check out Post Toastee! As a vocal virtuoso Jeff is king.
Dangerous game watching Jeff vids at 9:45pm on a school night drinking red wine.
Feeling u brother
❤❤❤❤❤
Good-looking as hell and that voice of his ... I cant help but fall in love...how I wish he were still around.
still around
A coworker said this and it sticks with me: "He's so dreamy - rest in peace :D" with all the saccharine glee and giddy schoolgirl feigned devotion.
Are you the one he referenced in his album?
I fall in love and lust every time I see/hear him as well. I just he could kiss, dance and make love like he made music. He was so sensual.
He would be older though
I'm heartbroken all over again watching this. I'll never get over this loss. He was the most inspirational musician to me ever, and I was just falling in love with his talent when he died. His singing voice still lives in mine, he was such a huge influence on me.
His and Shannon Hoons death massive losses too soon
Most beautiful vocalist I have ever heard.
His vocal abilities are unmatched and his voice was also beautiful. The many live recordings of his performances tell the tale ❤
They were only starting to grow together as a band. His own words. I can't imagine the beautiful music he had left in him.
Up there with Chris Cornell as one of my favourite vocalists. Such an amazing voice.
there's a clip on youtube of Cornell talking about him.
Hits those notes with ease. I knew when I first heard him in the mid 90s he was something special, then like a flash he was gone. 🌹

The second verse is just killer. The melody and the lyrics are incredible. Then followed up with that guitar riff. It’s perfection.
Still one of my favourite songs ever. Miss you Jeff
Sad that he died so young. Imagine the music we'd have from him if he was still alive.
I MISS HIM SO MUCH PLEASE COME BACK

it just flows out of him.
