In terms of story arc, this game was the absolute high point for AC franchise and it gave us closure with that Altair-Ezio meetup at the end. Newer versions don't even come close.
Because they don't build up characters this great anymore, the level of attachment was great as you play the game cuz you cared a lot about ezio/altair/Desmond but after that I didn't care about any of the characters I played. Edward kenway comes in second after but other than that.. Zilch

Revelations Ezio's cloak is, no doubt, my favorite Assassin's Creed outfit in the entire series. With all the respect Altair deserves... the dark blueish color feels like it's night time in Ezio's life. He's grown so much older, wiser, and became a complete badass veteran. Indeed, this is the best cloak by far due to all that represents for Ezio Auditore.
This whole thing is a work of art - the visuals, the editing, the music, the pacing, the game. The part at the end when he's walking the plank in the snow, and they cut to the eagle's cry before he starts to fight back, is just sublime.
The story, the scenes, the action moves, the song, this is PERFECTION. One of the best trailers of all time, no doubt. If only the Assassin's Creed movie had copied this action scenes... Love this game

Ezio is actually one of those characters that got a great ending to his story. Same with Altair. Maybe the next installment of AC (after Odyssey) will start building a character again from the ground up. I think after all the short stories (Conor, Edward, Kassandra, Evie, Arno, Jacob, Bayek, Shay etc.) it's time for a new *Legendary* Assassin to be introduced. One who's story will impact more than one game. Just like Ezio Altair and Desmond.

I didn't like the gameplay of Revelations, but the story and the character arc of Ezio was outstanding. His last choices of turning down adventure, of choosing happiness for himself was just so rewarding. It really felt like a journey through his entire life, and the lives of those who came before him.
Of all the assassin's throughout the series, Ezio was nearly flawless. He had a family that trusted him, a friend he relies on and protected, and most importantly, he had brothers who became his new family
Been a huge fan of AC since the first game came out, I certainly rember the older games with a lot more fondness then latest 3. But watching this trailer brings back so many forgotten memories, excitement and hair raising tingles that I had watching it as a child when this first was announced and came out. It's almost emotional to remember back back to those days and the pure joy these games brought and the interest they're amazing stories that intrigued me. Like many others the latest games just feel so far away from the original ones but looking back on this trailer it really shows me how disappointing they truly are, AC is not the same, the trailers don't have the same investment, the stories don't have the same investment to the player and lastly the games..... they are not AC anymore. Please either bring back the old AC or put the series to bed before it's poisoned anymore by itself.
I’m currently playing through AC2 right now after Origins and Odyssey. Both of them are amazing games, but Odyssey doesn’t really have anything to do with Assassin’s Creed. Still an amazing game though. Haven’t played Valhalla yet, so can’t say anything about that. Looking forward to playing through the Ezio trilogy though!

Maybe the next installment of AC (after Odyssey) will start building a character again from the ground up.
I think after all the short stories (Conor, Edward, Kassandra, Evie, Arno, Jacob, Bayek, Shay etc.) it's time for a new *Legendary* Assassin to be introduced.

@@Crazyfreak424 yeah,the mechanics are mostly the same which I’m completely fine with,since it was good already anyways in ACB.But I just loved the way istanbul looked with its warm and colourful world compared to Rome‘s rather tipical for that time lifeless look.Rome in general is a more interesting set place but the fact,that this game and ACR came out in the (no colour = more realtistic) generation just destroyed the visuals for me,where as ACR looks amazing.Idk,maybe it‘s because I played both on my ps3,and we all know how horrible some ubisoft games looked on 7th gen.

I want Ezio's triology with these graphics.
I didn't like the gameplay of Revelations, but the story and the character arc of Ezio was outstanding. His last choices of turning down adventure, of choosing happiness for himself was just so rewarding. It really felt like a journey through his entire life, and the lives of those who came before him.
Of all the assassin's throughout the series, Ezio was nearly flawless. He had a family that trusted him, a friend he relies on and protected, and most importantly, he had brothers who became his new family
And the man fought like a demon no matter the odds. I don’t think anyone could match him.
I am not a big fan of the series. But despite that I will admit this is still one of the best cinematic trailers I have ever seen for a videogame.

Been a huge fan of AC since the first game came out, I certainly rember the older games with a lot more fondness then latest 3.
But watching this trailer brings back so many forgotten memories, excitement and hair raising tingles that I had watching it as a child when this first was announced and came out.
It's almost emotional to remember back back to those days and the pure joy these games brought and the interest they're amazing stories that intrigued me.
Like many others the latest games just feel so far away from the original ones but looking back on this trailer it really shows me how disappointing they truly are, AC is not the same, the trailers don't have the same investment, the stories don't have the same investment to the player and lastly the games..... they are not AC anymore.
Please either bring back the old AC or put the series to bed before it's poisoned anymore by itself.
I’m currently playing through AC2 right now after Origins and Odyssey. Both of them are amazing games, but Odyssey doesn’t really have anything to do with Assassin’s Creed. Still an amazing game though. Haven’t played Valhalla yet, so can’t say anything about that. Looking forward to playing through the Ezio trilogy though!

Altair, Ezio and Desmond are the GOATs of the entire franchise. There's literally no other protagonist in the franchise that holds up to them.

Ariel Joote The assassin order started with the Murder of god king Xerxes of the Persian empire, way before Bayek (he even has the assassin's blade). Bayek and Aya were just the first ones to organize it and give it all a name.
