My thoughts and prayers are with all the children and their families. My heart is still broken over what happened those 19 beautiful angels and the brave teachers who did everything they could to protect them. God has them in his loving arms.
I remember the anxiety & nervousness I would feel whenever the first day of school started. I can't imagine how much worse it would've felt after knowing my classmates & teachers got shot the year before.
My thoughts and prayers are with the students, their families and teachers. I am glad the community is helping the students during their return to school.
Much stricter gun control and ban on weapons of war would help a lot more than therapy dogs.
Wouldn’t help they would just get a gun illegally if there willing to shoot a school up they wouldn’t mind getting it illegally

Agreed but I definitely like the idea of them having the dogs there to help calm them down and cheer them up. The one girl said “I know it’s not going to happen again” which is actually surprising to me. I wonder if she really believes that.
Weapons of war?
Are you a gun enthusiast or expert? You do realize that with two pistols and a high capacity magazine you can do the same or even more damage?
I agree with much stricter gun control but if you don’t know what you’re talking about, I kindly ask that you either do your research or stay out of any legislation that has to do with weapons. A simple look at firearm bans in California is enough to realize that the politicians making these stupid rules have no idea or no interest in knowing what they are talking about.
How about we first start be executing people who do this and get caught alive via public firing squads? Let's see if that doesn't help first.
Also, sure we can ban guns but did you hear about the 25 or so stabbings where 10 people died in Canada yesterday?
I know what you are thinking. They had to demolish it like that other one to get rid of the memory. That's exactly right.
They are going to demolish it and I am so glad they are. Nobody should ever have to go to school there knowing what happened.
But don't they have to finish all the investigating on the police chief andthe police response before they can demolish it? It may take years.

I haven't been in a mass shooting, but HAVE been shot at three different times in my life, I know the anxiety is real, and even the PTSD.

It’s best for the children, parents and community. If I was a student. It would just traumatized me reliving it every day. Whatever the city does hope it’s not a park that wouldn’t be good. Maybe community gardens.

Those kids need not only therapy dog but ponies, alpacas, a fucking unicorn to make the trauma go away. You know what creating a unicorn would be more likely than the whole country agreeing in unison to do something about gun violence.
Vote blue. Nra donate substantial amounts to repubs. Trumps are nra members. They did nothing about school shootings, work place shootings and mass shootout. No one wants to abolish A2. Dems don’t want to. Hunter don’t use ar unless he’s hunting humans. Pretty soon we’ll be desensitized to the violence.

They should teach gun safety in all public schools
@Damien Cl I know right. Conservatives always like to take “ban assault weapons” as us trying to take their guns. Like no, that’s not it at all. I think people should be able to have hunting weapons or conceal carry a small handgun as long as they are responsible. But nobody needs an assault weapon. I saw an interview with a police officer who turned in his assault rifle after the uvalde shooting. He had no intention of ever using it, it was like a trophy to him, but after that happened he said it felt wrong to keep it. I wish there were more people like him.
